Orichalon shipyards in the South Province has been closed off mysteriously today, with several dozen C-5A Galaxy transports landing at the supply airfields. All production at the shipyards has been stopped and moved north to Xylion. Though the government refuses to state why the already large shipyards have been closed so abruptly, reliable sources have stated, under the condition of anonimity, that the shipyards are going under massive refits to support a vastly heavier vessel. Mao Ling has an opinion on what's going on.

Tom, if I'm right, the government is planning its answer to the infamous Doujin-class "super battleship". As you know, the military prides itself in its navy. When the Doujin gets put to sea, that power will be compromised. Though I'm not sure WHAT this answer will be, I'm pretty sure it's going to be big.
Cut back
Again, we don't know anything for sure yet, but so far hundreds of thousands of dollars in supplies have been seen going into the high-security facility. More at twenty-three.

Wallace, my friend,
I have heard about this new project of yours. It sounds good to me. Count me in. I've already wired 75 billion to your shipyards. I hope that our efforts will help in this wonderful project.

"Sir, I've got some interesting news," reported an advisor to Naval Chief Admiral Gately. "Feazanthia's just closed their largest shipyards, and CNN reporters (trademark Resi) are speculating that an incredibly large ship is being built, to rival the Doujin."
"Rival the Doujin?" remarked the admiral, surprised. "Xylion is a subsidiary of Doujin."
"This isn't in Xylion, sir. They're rehauling this shipyard to accomodate something large, and they're reporting production has been transferred to Xylion...although Doujin maintains that they have shut down their Xylion subsidiary and ordered it to cease all production."
"Well, this is interesting. Our status with Feazanthia is hostile, isn't it?"
"At the moment it is, sir. Still, Feazanthia's a highly respected nation. It's this whole dismantle-nukes-or-we-nuke-the-icecaps fiasco that's deteriorated relations between us."
"Ah yes, that." The Admiral sighed, deep in thought. "I have much respect for Feazanthia," he said at last. "However, if they continue their irrational threats, a blockade may be fully necessary."
"I understand, sir."
"This ship, of course, would be a hindrance to that blockade. A rather large one."
"Sir, a ship of this caliber would take years to build, even if they pour all production into it."
"Nonetheless..."
"There's also the Precious."
"What?"
"That was actually what they sent me up here to tell you. I got sidetracked," the advisor admitted, "watching CNN's story about Feazanthia. Sixteen prototypes have been built, of five different calibers."
He handed the admiral a manilla folder. Gately opened it, and instantly remembered about what his advisor spoke of. He leaned back. "Now I may rest assured," he said. "Although bear in mind, use of this would have to be a last resort."
"I understand, sir."

(Several days later)
UPDATE: We here at CNN have recently recieved word that the nation's approximately fifty-thousand life- or death-sentenced inmates are being shipped to Orichalon Shipyards. We suspect that they are being put to work by the government in exchange for some sort of reward. More at twenty-three.

ANNOUNCEMENT
Orichalon Shipyards has been purchased by the Feazanthian government for a grand sum of thirteen billion dollars. Hundreds of thousands of construction workers are leaving their jobs as the government conscripts them to finish reconstruction on the shipyard. C-5A Galaxy transports arrive almost daily to deliver supplies of titanium and steel, plus uranium from the nation's extensive mines. Sizeable shore defenses are being erected, as the majority of the fleets are defending the Xylion province from the Zoogie blockade.
The government still refuses to state that anything is going on.
