Somewhere in the Indian Ocean...
It was a sunny day, and Peter was happy, standing on board his yaght, with the wind running through his hair. He had been planning this trip for years.
"Did you want a drink baby?", asked his girlfriend, her head appearing from the cabin below.
"Oh, you are such a babe. Come here you...", he replied smiling warmly.
His girlfriend giggled, and walked up and across the deck toward him, being embraced by his big warm arms. She looked up, into his eyes, and gingerly kissed him on the lips.
Peter winked, and she walked back down towards the cabin to fetch him a drink, "Apple Juice?"
His girlfriend nodded, and waved a cute goodbye to him, before disappearing below the deck. Peter turned, and looked out towards the ocean. He could feel the sun on his tanned skin.
Looking out, he blinked, and looked again. On the horizon, it looked like there was some kind of land form. Quickly, he jogged across the boat, and pulled out the charts. There shouldnt have been any kind of land for miles.
Peter's heart beated excitedly, never in his life would he had imagined something like this, assuming he was correct. Walking hurridly towards the wheel, Peter turned the Yaght for the land mass, calling for his girlfriend.
**************
Two Hours Later...
Peter grew more and more excited as his boat neared the large island. He was somewhat close, and from what he could see, the island was thick with forest vegetation. The beaches, looked as if they were made of broken sea shells and rocks. The water, was clear blue, and fish swam undisturbed. As Peter held his girlfriend, he watched as a man appeared on the beach. He was dark skinned, and was wearing vauge clothing attire. It seemed as if Peter had discovered a small island chain, and its inhabitants.
Quickly, Peter got out his sattelite phone, and contacted the Austarian Government...

Xaniqall questions whether this is truly a discovery, as there are already people living there.
Should this go the way of other "discoveries" by Western nations, Xaniqall mey began shipping arms to the islands, and send some tribesmen to train them in guerrilla warfare.

Two Weeks Later...
The beaches of the Kanobe Islands were strangely busy as troops began to unload onto the island. As the Austarians were busy, some couldnt help but feel as if they were being watched from the nearby forest.
Colonel Barry White walked up to the treeline with curiousity. All of a sudden, a young, dark boy ran out of the scrub. He was wielding a tomahawk, and was running straight for the Colonel.
A nearby soldier quickly reacted, rasing his rifle and shooting the young boy, who fell immediatly dead.
"Dear god..." exclaimed the Colonel, "What the hell is going on?"
OOC: Im not sure what I plan to do with this RP. Im really just RPing as things go along...

Due to the outbreak of violence on the new islands invaded by the Austar Union, Xaniqall has been left no choice.
We are immediately dispatching 100 tribesmen to help the natives, as well as sending some rifles and submachine guns in their efforts to repel the invaders. Further updates will be given upon arrival.

Offshore the Islands, Admiral Plaskett was reading a telegram he got from Command.
"Dammit, how did they even find out what was going on? Bah, they want to encourage violence against us, for what, one dead boy? Besides, the boy was attacking the Colonel, and his death was merely an act of self-defense.", he muttered to himself.
Realising he had been rambling, he took the initiative to write to the Xaniqallians.

We, as the discoverers of the Kanobe Islands reserve the right to claim authority over the island chain. We encourage you to not attempt to stir violence on the islands, for it would be of disasterous concequences.

We thank the support from The Burnsian Desert, however we wish to also point out that Xaniqall is simply small fries compared to our war-machine. Besides we think that Xaniqall is wise, and wont attempt aggression against us.

Re: The Kanobe Islands
We challenge your right to authority over these islands, as they are already inhabitated. We cannot tolerate the jingoism occuring in the islands, and will support national struggles of all people against imperialistic aggression. Should you continue attempts to force your will upon the people of these islands, you will be met with resistance. We have already dispatched tribesmen in the area, and their reports suggest willingness on the part of the natives to take up arms against your nation. They are armed, and being trained as you read this. Please do not follow the path of cultural warfare and genocide that has long accompanied "civilized" ventures into "undiscovered" territory.
Meanwhile, in the jungles of the Kanobe Islands, several dark skinned men sat on a cliff, peering with binoculars at a beach below. Troops had been unloading for sometime, and a slow process of jungle clearing appeared to have begun. They took careful note of the number of troops on this particular beach, and how they were preparing defenses. They silently crept down the rock formation and back into the jungle, to report back to their local council.

On the Kanobe Islands, the 500 strong Austarian presence has established a camp. There have been several reportings of sightings of Kanobe natives, but there has been little direct contact with any islanders.
OOC: Xaniqall, you are welcome to RP the natives, I wouldnt expect it to be a HUGE population, maybe 500 000 maximum natives on the island... ;) Oh yeah, im also closing this conflict to allow anyone whos posted already to take part if they wish... :)

OOC: How many islands are we talking about anyway? 500 000 sounds excessive for a small chain, especially if they're simple hunter-gatherers. Around 50,000 might be more reasonable, if we're talking about a decent sized island chain.
---
As night fell, a small group of native Kanobians moved quietly through the jungle towards the beach. They took up concealed positions in the trees and kept a close eye on the Austarians. The foreigners seemed edgy, undoubtedly due to the recent attack on their leader, and rumors of war with Xaniqall. The foreigners appeared much better outfitted than the natives, but they were not terribly concerned. The jungle could prove harsh even to natives, and those unfamiliar with it would be at a distinct disadvantage. Preparations for resistance, should the Austarians make any moves towards the inland, were already well under preparation.

As night fell, spotlights were turned on around the compund. Tommorow, the Austarians would try to map out the island, maybe by helicoptor at first... Regular patrols were set around the camp, as to protect from any natives attack.

Three distinctive blasts on a foghorn were heard in the distance. The Burnsian fleet was approaching. As the Rashiid battle group lay offshore, the landing craft began to deploy the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Battalions.

As sunrise came over the Kanobi Islands, Colonel White went out to meet whoever was in charge of the Burnsian group to discuss the island.
At the Austarian Camp, a small helicoptor took off, to help map out the island. Inside the aircraft, the Pilots could see a gathering of natives below, and promptly radioed the news in.
the Natives had reached the Austar Camp and had put down there weapons in front of them. there leader had been repeatadly saying somethng in Kokohori.

"Col. White," said the Queen, shaking his hand, "a pleasure to meet you. I hear that you have had some encounters with hostile natives. I was hoping to build a shelter and manor here."

Over the loud pounding of the tribal drums and stamping of dancing feet, a helicopter was heard. Everything quickly silenced, and all eyes were glued to the sky. The appearance of the machine frightened some of the villagers, as they were unfamiliar with such technology. The Xaniq tribesmen shouted encouraging words, and several locals joined in. As the helicopter dissapeared, the Xaniqs quietly discussed amongst themselves for a moment, and then gave a signal. The gathering quickly moved into the relative safety of the jungle, perhaps into even deeper and safer areas within, and waited, while several scouts moved swiftly towards the Austarian camp.

Colonel White laughed, "Wow, you are certainly eager your honor... I dont think this area is safe for you yet Ma'am."
In the meantime, back at the camp, a group of soldiers came out to greet the natives, gus raised.
"What are they saying?", said one soldier.
"I dunno," replied another, "Looks to me they want to surrender..."
The head soldier began to give out orders, "Round em up, and put them in the mess tent. I dont want any of them getting any wrong ideas, so make sure you guard them closely..."
meanwhile, a sholar had just finished a crude translation booklet on a few lafs that where on the ground. he handed it to an Austurian before being led away,

A second group of 12 natives emerged from the jungle into the Austarian camp. They wore simple loincloths made of animal skin, and moccasins. They did not carry any weapons, and bore large, innocent looking smiles.

As the Austar Union's troops sailed away from the Kanobe Islands, a large group of natives, and the few Xaniq tribesmen among them, celebrated on the island shores, drinking locally made wine and dancing to the beat of tribal drums. The Federation of Qutubutai had maintained independence, and would soon seek UN recognition.
