Today, the Communists took office in Parliament and have changed its name to the Supreme National Peoples Congress.

The Nation has been declared a Peoples Republic, it now has a President and the Government is run by a system using 'Care Committees'. The Nation has been named New Aotearoa, for it is a new socialist Aotearoa that will create a Maori as well as socialist culture that everyone will love, be they Maori or not.

The Democratic Soviet Union of Resistencia would like to congratulate the communist party in their success. We hope your reign will be long, peaceful, and prosperous. If any assistance is needed by your young government we will be glad to send it.

I used to be a communist, and my economy thrived, until my government crashed.

You are perfectly able to transfer your gov't to a communist rule if you want, but if you want to succeed, may I offer my advise to you.

Do it slowly. Personally, I am not a communist, however I have observed that every RL communist gov't ever set up has failed because they move too fast. Think about it. Capitalist infrastructure is radically different to communist infrastructure. The problems that you would encounter trying to bend it to a communist gov't would mean that the people would be unhappy during the first few months. This would mean that the man in charge would need to take extra power in order to keep the people in control. After all, they have just revolted, stability is not high.

Eventually, the amount of power he would need to take would make him a dictator. It is foolish to believe that this man was of such indominitable will that the power will not go to his head. For want of a better phrase "power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely." This would lead to a dictatorship akin to that of the U.S.S.R. If you are slow, and ease your gov't to a communist office, then you will not have this trouble.
