Where do you get money, equipment, weapons. Things like that and how do you know how much you have? Could someone help me

I am not sure if you would want to go to that GDP Calc, little to complex for a Newbie, and it had tons of ads.

One more question. How would a country make equipment, weapons, vehicles etc. I've read many posts about countries making there own boats etc.
