The 1st defendant: Chairman Keel

The leader of the council of 12 men who run SEELE-NERV, Keel is credited by many sources as the driving force behind the self-proclaimed 'Anime Jihad' and the 'Coalition of the Willing'(or free).In the Jihad itself, he ordered and authorised the unlawful occupation of many towns in the nations of Derrick-ness and Enchanted Relm. He is possibly going to be charged on counts of multiple acts of genocide and various other war crimes.

In his defence, Keel claims that he went to war due to the fact that his polite requests through the ambassador nation of Read or Die to instate the religion of Anime through free speech were rudely turned down by the region of OTHAFA. He also asks for proof that these acts of genocide were accutualy committed and how they could be linked to him, citing various news broadcasts that the occupation was peaceful and there was no resistance to his troops, nor were there any executions of occupied innocents.

I vouch for Chairman Keel. If his conduct was anything like my friend Adam Weishaupt of The Pioneer Government, I'm sure his forces displayed utmost courtesy and honour to the civilians.

The 2nd defendant: Principal Weishaupt

The leader of the Illuminated Council that runs The Pioneer Government. Weishaupt leant his nations strength to SEELE-NERV (The two nations are roughly equal strength).

Adam Weishaupt, a popular Pioneer Principal and leading businessman,
is a partial fan of the Chairman Keel's 'Anime Religion' and joined the 'Coalition of the Willing' to defend the rights of OTHAFA citizens to enjoy Anime. Principal Weishaupt, himself a dedicated atheist, has voiced strong views for freedom and made several speechs on anti-terrorism. To counter the strong threat of terrorism in his nation (once ravaged by religious extremists) he setup the elite PATCO organisation to conduct anti-terror raids.

In the Jihad itself, he ordered and authorised the attack of but a single town - the port town of Other Half.
Despite Mr Weishaupt's support for Chairman Keel's innocently sounding plan to "stand up to those bigots" The Pioneer Government launched only one notable attack - the six hour bombardment, using the super-battleship Illuminus, of Other Half Town, and the subsequent occupation of that town. All forces have, of course, withdrawn in accord with the peace treaty (Weishaupt is a businessman with great respect for the legal process).

He has been accussed of war crimes, though the nature of these crimes has not yet been known to him. Mr Weishaupt allowed himself to be escorted to the United Nations Court of Justice by two International Police...

Principal Weishaupt denies any war crimes, saying that the bombardment and occupation of the coast town was a legitimate military tactic and in accordance with UN regulations.

"It's silly really. They're investigating whether I did any war crimes, but why? There are real war criminals out there, running free, yet the UN must pick on me and Chairman Keel? I make sure all my forces, including the Pioneer First Army, which participated in the operation, conduct themselves with utmost compassion for the natives. This was not a random act of aggression, this was merely a group of nations trying to restore the right for free speech. After all, isn't the Right of Conscience one of the United Nations most deeply held beliefs?"

Frankly, I find this to be a gross over-step on the part of the UN. And while I'm on it, if Chairman Keel and his SEELE troopers behaved anything near as nicely as my Primus Inter Pares, then they really were as pleasant as Chairman Keel makes them out to be"

And Derrick-ness, that 'massacre of entire towns' was a gross exaggeration! Most likely borne from inaccurrate intel or even spite!
As for living in palaces, Principal Weishaupt does not use state-money for a home or palace. He still lives in his penthouse (paid for because of his business and banking success). If you are trying to hint at corruption then you have the wrong nation! The Pioneer Government is a progressive nations that believes in Humanity.

Frankly Derrick-ness, I don't see why YOU aren't standing trial for your scandalous accusations!

This is a gross miscarriage of justice! A region bans an entire religion and persecutes it's followers and the UN does nothing. A coalition forms to stand up to them, and suddenly THEY are the bad-guys? I know many have died, but that is war. Scape-goating is not going to bring them back

As previously discussed, we don't have any helicopter gunships in the region. Therefore this atrocity must have been committed by you or your allies. Plinjville and it's allies T.G.A.T. demand an apology for this flagrant breach of international law and will seek compensation for the families if necesary. It should be added that whatever the excuses made by the pioneer government, shelling cities and civilians is NEVER permitted under international law. 'Reasonable force' may be used to neutralize resisters, but levelling an entire city is not reasonable in any way, shape or form.

The city wasn't levelled! It was hit by shelling. I think you'll find we're been doing that since WW2. Would it have been illegal then for the Royal Navy and American battleships to fire at the machine gun nests at D-Day?

Oh, and there was a misreport. The reporter said 'miltia' implying armed civilians defending their homes. They were uniformed fighters, armed with AK's.

And, my I say, the shelling was done not because of resisters, but in anticipation for the landing of a ground force. I think you'll find that that is something that HAS been practised...

you have been arrested for breaking hte principals set out by the UN following WW2
the war was for religious meens and this is seen as illegal because fo the way that you went about it

you have to understand the ways of the worldthere are many relgious practices thorughout the world that are not prohibited but this does not give a rouge region the right or the legal protection to attack and sluaghter the nonbelivers in this relgion you can not contiinue to attempt to spread the word of anime in such a way for this will not be tolerated
