GOSSELIN CITY - Startling events rocked the northern Gosselanian town of New Listowel. A Tungii nationalist group as well as an all-Tungii Regiment of the Gosselanian Army marched on New Listowel without warning early this morning. Despite a militia unit being based in New Listowel, they scarecely had time to phone their troops before the Tungii insurgents had overwhelmed the entire town without firing a shot.
All communications are cut off and the TUngii force has yet to release any statements or demands.
The Regiment involved is the Tucang Light Infantry. All three of its battalions entered the city early this morning, followed by approximately 1000 Tungii nationalists.
Little is known about the nationalists or their aims, but we will post more as the story develops.
In a statement issued today, the Gosselin Army has denounced the move and has declared the Tucang Regiment as a renegade force. The military has been put on high alert and a brigade is being mobilized at Camp Dallaire, 120 km away.
Gosselanian leader John Gosselin found the news "upsetting" and "regrettable". Top-level officials have attempted to establish a dialog with the insurgents, but have yet to succeed. The military is preparing for the worst. While no civilians have yet been harmed, it is assumed that they are hostages of the invaders.
