ORANGE PEOKE, Canterberry- It has been announced that the Grand Duchy of Canterberry is requesting open trade with all nations exporting tea. It has also just announced the merger of it's two state sponsored commodity trading institutions, the Slightly East India Trading Company and the Western Pacific Tea Exchange. It is said that this merger was the fallout from the unsupported allegations of many nations that Canterberry had engaged of acts of piracy against ships believed to have been transporting tea or livestock (most notably sheep). "It is most absurd that the Grand Duchy of Canterberry would have any part in these attacks against merchant vessels esspecially in the case of such trivial commodities.", says the exasperated Earl of Grey. Later in the week his popularity polls went down 20%. In a revised statement, the government later pointed to possible involvement of that 'damned island of Jersey'. The Minister of Tea and Commodities was not available for comment.
However in typical Canterberrian apathy his secretary responded with the phrase, "Hogwash!"
