Sikes Falls, Branam Returns
After the treacherous and turbulent months of Sikes' reign, the the supposed 'dictator' is no more. The nation has learned of his crimes and is well aware of the implications that makes. Sikes will spend the rest of his life in prison, or may face the death penalty. However, Jarrod Branam has announced his return to finish out this term. President Branam has lead us through many harsh times, and we believe that he will do it again now. His first order of business was to repeal everything Sikes had done. All trade and travel are opened up again, Jarridia's borders are no longer closed. Also, If ViZion and Xeraph allow, we would like to reopen our bases there. It will be a difficult time in the future, in an effort to rebuild our image.
*President Branam standing out front of the palace in the main garden. He stands behind the podium, looking at the reports and Jarridians around.*
"We have witnessed a truly harsh time in our history. Hundreds of thousands of people are dead, and millions are left homeless or injured. Sikes has significantly damaged our reputation. He alienated our allies, and even caused one to withdraw their contact with us. In the final years of this term, I promise that I will do what I can to rebuild our shattered image, and show the world once again what true Jarridia is like. Our borders are now fully open, trade is now open to everyone and our days of this simple 'isolationism' are over. May god bless Jarridia, and the entire world."

We understand the problems your country has faced in recent time, but recalling embassies and troops from countries in need, and of no threat, is well... Dumb.
We hope you will not go completly insane stopping trade and isolating your country.
We wish not to see a turn for the worst in Jarridia

President Sikes,
We of Xeraph respect your concerns. If there is anything we can do to smooth your transition to power, please let us know.

Thank you Xeraph. As I stated earlier, Mr. Branam and I did not see eye to eye on many issues. Therefore more changes will occur as I see fit for the best of this great nation.
-President Sikes
Magdha understands your concerns. We will be sending government aircraft to pick up our citizens.
We wish for free trade between our contires to continue however.
Maharaja Chandragupta of Magdha.
It pains the nation of Daylam to hear such drastic measures being taken by Jarridia. While all nations make mistakes, Daylam more than you, such drastic measures are not needed. The nation of Jarridia was, like countless thousands of others, straying off the path of righteousness it claimed to walk. All you needed was a short correction, not a massive policy change. If this is the reaction to Daylam, we are deelpy sorry, not only to Jarridia but to the foreigners in Jarridia and the nations that will be losing a close friend.
Magdha is also sad at these extreme measures but Jarridian citizens may still travel freely in magdha.
Maharaja Chandragupta of Magdha.
President Branam and I were close friends and associates and you will never be half the man he was. I ask the people of Jarridia to speak out against this isolationism. Watch your step Sikes or you will have trouble.

My citizens are of no threat to you, but if you must remove them for safety reasons, I completely understand.

No I will not. He is ruining Jarridia.
You ruined Jarridia, not Joel Sikes, President Branam, Xeraph, or the nation of Jarridia. I could tell they were simply following your lead in the farce that was the nuclear assault. I suggest you re-evaluate your insults to Joel Sikes. You may disagree with his policies but insulting the man is uncalled for.

A Message on Behalf of the Schultarian National Assembly
It is a sad day indeed when a nation of such progressive and active foreign policy envisions isolationism as a permanent solution to their extra-territorial crises. We hope that this is not a permanent solution to a temporary problem; many lives will be destroyed that have no direct impact on the problems you have stated: foreign born professors, scientists, scholars to name some of the few critical positions that will be lost in your nation.
With this loss, we are afraid that your country will stagnate in its creativity and industrial inventiveness. The interaction that comes naturally with two unique cultures can not be substituted with any amount of embassies or raw cargo; there is no substitute for the results that complete and total isolation will produce. If you take any heed from ancient world history, than take heed of the mistakes of isolationist Japanese culture; pay heed that your nation does not fall backwards in either its technology or its social policies. With isolationism comes the foundations of inherent racism, and we shudder to think of how state sponsored racism could transform your nation.
Please, reconsider your options with the international community. Every nation's foreign policy has flaws; the only way to improve in global affairs is to admit responsibility and press on. Like Benjamin Franklin said: "Those who give up a little freedom for more security deserve neither freedom nor security."
Take heed of your actions,
-The Schultarian National Assembly

OOC: *Sigh* I'm not going to fight with you. I do not want to ruin this thread arguing with you when I have already posted a thread showing why I should still be a nation. Feel free to go there if you think I am a smoking crater.

There were currently three families on vacation in Jarridia, two have been contacted and are returning. But the third could not be contacted.

In Jarridia's Capitol
A family of four walked out of their motel, apparently unaware that tourists have been recalled from across the globe. "Hey mom, it seems different here now... not alotta excitement or nothin..." remarks Josh, a 17 year old son of the Manacan family. "Well, you're right, it does seem pretty strange... maybe there is something special going on in Jarridia we were unaware of... some kind of national holiday or something?" says Martha, the mother, as they walked down a nearly deserted street. Papers blowing and swirling around, only a couple other people looking out their business doors, and an eerie silence blanketed the city. You could even hear the slight breeze, and the papers flexing with the wind. It was overcast, and a slight chill came with the breeze and wind.
Then, they saw something they has never seen before - military police patrolling the streets. Seeing that, Eric, the 13 year old exclaimed, "Hey mom! Look... their military!" The parents and his older brother looked uneasy. "This doesn't seem right... I think we should head back to the motel..." the father said, as they turned.
(OOC: Jarridia, tryin to get a little RP going here, if ya don't mind... if ya do mind, just make an OOC comment that my little start of a RP is ignored...)
