New Masarean Internal Policy

05-05-2004, 19:47
New policies in education are being implemented in the dictatorship of Masarea, going completely into effect in three years. Schools are being overhauled, and facilities for weapons training are being constructed. Instructors, mainly retirees of the Masarean military, will begin to teach students as young as six the importance of cooperation with military personnel, the duties of a citizen to defend his or her country to the death, and the rights that Masarean leadership has. This will complement the current curriculum.

In addition to school reconstruction, thousands of jobs are becoming available as arms factories, coal mines, power plants, steel mills, oil platforms, and lumber mills open across the great nation. Rubber, steel and fossil fuel production are at an all-time high.

Approximately three-quarters of taxes collected are currently going toward military spending. While war has not been declared, President-for-life Aeril Yttra has been vehement about the necessity of a strong standing military, officially due to concerns about the myriad of weapons of mass destruction in the possession of other, possibly hostile, nations.
