What are the amount of RL days in a NS year? I have yet to figure that out yet. Thanks in advance.

Also how do I figure out my budget?

Varies. Usually is posted in parentheses. EX: You have 4 days (3 RL hours). OR You have four days (20 RL minutes).

I like to think 1 NS year is equal to 1 RL day.

It all depends on RPing. Several weeks could be a few minutes in NationStates, and visa versa. It all depends. Weeks, months or years can flash by in an instant.

[OOC: I also think it depends on the roleplay, especially for the storefronts or the war timelines. There certainly doesn't seem to be one set standard that holds true for every roleplay. That's why sometimes I'll just put something in like "you have [six RL hours] to withdraw from the city or I'll drop a bomb."]

I don't honestly like the concept of time going by quite so fast as a year a day. Although it makes sense to have legislation pass a bill every six months. In my mind, NS year = 2-3 days, just to finalize time zone issues and the like.

When you're not in an RP, in "normal mode" I think 1RL day=1NS year

I prefer to use the 'fluid' time. A RL hour could be ten minutes, five seconds, but a RL day could be a year, although I find this a but distasteful. It all depends on how you 'use' it.

I can't stand people who use 1 RL day = 1 NS year. Most just use it as a lame excuse to build up their military faster than they should by giving themselves a new budget every day.
