Rachel looked over her speech. Being a woman of just 15, she thought it to be pretty adequate. This must be the greatest day in the history of the Burnsian Desert, since the overturn of the Dictatorship and the bombing of TROUSRS. Space colonization. Wow. She smiled to herself. And we have this capability... no. Not yet.

REPORT TO THE PEOPLE -- 2004
Ladies and Gentlemen of The Burnsian Desert, we are a fast-growing nation. Each day, our borders swell with overpopulated shantytowns and bursting mud huts. Our citizens deserve better. Our country deserves better.
If we are to overcome such problems, we must create solutions. The solution given by your government is to move onto a greater frontier. What is that frontier, you ask? It is Mars. The planet so close, yet so far from us. Many countries have colonized Mars, making the air safe for human lungs. We are ready to give funding.
We now must create a legion of experts into this new and exciting field of areonautics, space, and travel. We shall form the NACOP, or National Association for Colonizing Other Planets. Someday, we hope to achive exploration of other planets, even beyond our own solar system. People of The Burnsian Desert, I give you life and liberty!
OOC: We DO NOT have a starship yet. We will build one ourselves. We need blueprints for a warp gate generator. We need something to start colonizing with, IE a command center.
