3% peace
5-7% war
Or if you using a custom system it can be any amount as long as you can back it up.

Depends. Most people say 2-5% peacetime, though this is pretty large. It depends whether or not you value quality over quantity or vice versa.
10% is acceptable with wartime conscription, but is unsustainable for more than a few years. So, anywhere from 1-5% is good.

Are you serious...I thought...
Could I raise the bar some how, could I force everyone in my country over the age of 12 to join?
I do have a sort of different way of doing it but, I wanna save it until I actually start to RP which may take anywheres between a week and maybe even 2 months.Let me know if you'd like to RP too.

Not unless you want your economy to implode - you'd have to feed, shelter, train, maintain and provide weapons for every troop.

Mine is roughly half a percent. My military has an active peacetime force of 6 million. This grows to 10 million in times of war. We do not see the need for a larger military.

Yeah, now that I think about it, I don't really need that many people for the way I plan to RP.Thanks anyway. There should be a regulation for this.
Maybe it should say this on the same page descibing your nation along with its population, economy, ect.

Well It really depends on your timepirod of war... If you play in Feudal times then about 10% of your pop is army. In war about 25%. This is due to the fact that out of war soilders ran there own little towns but in war pesants were called in a draft to fight. And also back then you supplied your own wepon and armor. and all you need to suppy is there pay which can be very little (you can almost pay the pesants nothing because they do not work for much anyway) and food. as for shealter just find a coulpe on dry spots and rollout your skin (animal skins) to sleep on.

Uh, I'd think it's safe to say he probably doesn't play feudal tech Utopiaism.
Realistically, you should never really have more than 2-3% tops of your population in the military during peace time. During war, 5-7% is better. Once you get to 5% and higher your nation would start to feel economic repercussions in real life, because a high amount of your work force is now being diverted to the military.

Old stardard: 1-2% peace (USA has less then 1% in peace), no more then 5% during war... anymore (again, old stardard, when the stardards for RPing in NS was actually quite good) then 5% were (with a couple exceptions, even those being rare) considered godmod and was likely to be ignored...
Also, you need to think of logistics (food, weapons, etc) that are realistic... larger nations would struggle to have 5% even with a extremely good economy because of having so many mouths to feel, so many weapons and ammo to make and give out, etc...
I use roughly .08%, which gives me approx. 9,500,000. Except in EXTREME circumstances, you should stick to levels below 2%.

I think you mean .8%. .08% gives you a military of 900,000. .8% gives 9,000,000.
Ah yes, I did mean .8% - thanks for the correction.
