Star Empire Starships [future self-future tech]

With the need to make its name known in the starship design world, the Star Empire of Fluffywuffy's Tri-astro board has been given authority to declassify many of its designs and tell the world somewhat what the Star Empire demands in its own designs.

What the Star Empire's tactics are

Star Empire designers emphasize cloaking technology on all starships; not one starship designed by the Star Empire does not have a cloaking capability. The cloaked ships then move into position in the rear of an enemy fleet, which we have identified as the weak point of many starships, our ships then decloak, fire, and repeat. Our ships are designed to have small crews, and only the larger ships, such as fighter carriers, have huge crews.

In addition to small crews and cloaking, Star Empire ships have comparatively few weapons. This is due to the small size of Star Empire ships; we hardly have any capital ships. That is due to the lack of resources within the Star Empire, though measures to gain resources are being made. Also, our weapons are advanced when comared to ordinary phasers, laser cannons, and missles of other space nations.

So, without further ado, here comes the list of the few starship designs produced in the Star Empire.

Both designs cost 500 million dollars ($500,000,000)

FCS-48A Hunter-class Long-Range-Attack Frigate (LRAF)

The FCS-48A is a small, fast, manueverable warship equiped with the standard computing systems that allow a small crew, and thus more space in a smaller ship. This extra space has allowed the ship to carry two fighters.

As far as armament goes, it follows the standard Star Empire proceedure: the ship uncloaks positioned behind or below the enemy fleet, lets loose a long range Shield Imploder, which uses a magnetic field to disrupt shielding, and then fires its single, long range, Plasma Pulse Device to destroy the enemy vessel. If ships get too close the group of frigates deploy thier fighters to keep enemy vessels at bay while they retreat to a safer position, uncloak, and begin the barage again.

Armament:

Fighter bay for two fighters
1 PPD
2 Shield Imploder cannons
4 Gatling Phaser Cannons for point defense
Cloaking Device

Crew: 20

FCS-48B Lancer-class Short-Range-Defense Frigate (SRDF)

The sight of a Lancer frigate to LRAF ships is most apreciated. The Lancer is designed to provide short range defense, in conjunction with fighters, to LRAF ships if the enemy can succesfully close before LRAF ships can cloak and move away and are designed with defense in mind. The fighter bay of the 48A has been replaced with an extra shield generator and powerplants so that the forward arc of the shield can match that of heavier ships. Of course, they would still be defeated in battle against a larger ship if done unwisely, but the extra shields help them last longer so that they can stay until the LRAF ships, behind them, move away.

Armament

4 Gatling Phaser Cannons for point defense
1 Fusion Cannon (shaped so that the blast of energy contained in a fusion reaction will burst forward, away from the ship, and towards the other)
Cloaking Device

$2,000,000,000 for both designs

FCS-60A Hunter Cruiser Forward Line Attack Ship (FLAS)

While the LRAFs and SRDFs are artilery and rear defense assets of the Star Empire, the FLAS is a fast, manueverable ship with light shielding designed not so much to dodge fire, but to quickly get in and blast away with dual fusion cannons, cloak, recharge, fire and repeat. To compliment the cloaking, speed, and manueverability, the ship sports a powerful ECM warfare suite and ECCM warfare suite to confuse enemy tracking computers and thus cause the enemy to score less hits on the lightly armored Hunter.

Armament

Dual Fusion Cannons on two hardpoints on the left and right side.
12 Gatling Phasers for point defense
4 Fore and Aft (4 on each side) Phaser-1s for targeting ships
1 Laser Anti Missle Defense system
1 ECM and ECCM suite
Cloaking Device
Fighter bay for 4 fighters

Crew: 200

FCS-60B Barbarian Cruiser Forward Fighter Carrier (FFC)

Sitting just behind the forward line of FLAS ships is the FFC classes, ships who have had almost all weapons removed to make room for fighters, to apply extra support to the forward attackers. These ships are not very large for carriers, as it was ruled that would make them larger targets, but still serve the role very nicely. The only defensive weapons, ECM and ECCM suites, and the manueverability and speed of this design makes this craft very survivable.

Armament

ECM and ECCM Suite
Fighter bay for 20 fighters
Crew: 200
Cloaking Device

FCS-80A Mauler Heavy Cruiser Forward Line Attack Ship (FLAS)
http://www.feralyards.co.uk/races/hydran/4view/hca4view.jpg
Cost: $10,000,000,000

The Heavy Cruiser FLAS is a departure from the standard proceedure of Star Empire ships; slow, heavily armored, and heavily armed. The ship is meant to distract enemy attention.

Armament

6 Fusion Cannons
2 Shield Imploders
1 PPD
16 Point Defense Phaser-G
ECM/ECCM Suite
Cloaking Device

Crew: 500

FCF-4 Scot Fighter
http://www.feralyards.co.uk/races/ldr/4view/dpft2_4view.jpg
Cost: $20,000,000

Armed with a plasma vent to vent plasma exhaust forward as a weapon and a small shield generator, the FCF-04 is a formidable weapon when used in sufficient numbers, which is the case with the Star Empire.

Armament
Plasma Vent
Light Shield
-No Cloaking Device-
