Slowly the transports moored on the shore. Far ahead, the lights of the city of Turkmenbashi were almost all out. A low-level EMP strike had ensured that. In the ensuing chaos, Daylami insurgents in the country rose up all over the country as tactical EMPs put the entire Turkmen nation into a state of blackout. Everywhere heavily armed militias began to form and take over major buildings and defensive sights. Armed with low-level weapons like AK-47s, RPGs, and mortars, the rebels quickly engaged in large-scale conflicts with the Turkmen Army. Unfortunately, the grasping tendrils of Daylam had infected even that organization, and the Turkmen found the Army paralyzed as several high-up personnel defected. In one fell stroke, the government of Turkmenistan had been rendered paralyzed.
Back in the stealth transports, the Tujue regiments grasped their weapons tightly. Finally, when the aforementioned chaos set in, at midnight, the Tujue regiments, numbering units of 50,000 a piece, unleashed a huge artillery bombardment and then systematically took control of Turkmenbashi.
Strategic howitzers neutralized what remained of the loyal Turkmen. More and more Tujue flooded onto the shore. EMP strikes made sure no communications could be made to the outside world. It was perfect. Landings by the elite Tujue regiments occured all over the Caspian shore of Turkmenistan. The EMP played an awesome role, ensuring the international community had no idea of the massive army arriving in the middle of the night.
The Tujue, mounted on kevlar-armored horses, themselves kevlar-armored (a new innovation by Daylam designed to revive cavalry units), began fanning out across Turkmenistan as the heavy armor began to unload. Turkmenbashi and most of rural Turkmenistan was under Daylam's control within an hour.

Some information on the Tujue regiments of Daylam

The Tujue are descendants of the massive Turuk Empire of Central Asia, which ruled the Central Asian steppes from the 5th to the 7th centuries. Since then, most of their descendants have been moved and conscripted in Daylam, where they make up the vast majority of the population. From birth, every male is made into a killing machine (no unnatural methods however). A certain percentage of males are drafted. They undergo rigorous arms, endurance, and strength training from the age of 13 onwards. They train in every sort of arms and weapons.
The Tujue are also part of a new sort of cavalry unit. The muscular Daylami horses are fitted with armor plating able to stop machine gun fire, as are the riders, who hold submachine guns and sabres.
The Tujue are organized into regiments (groups of one thousand), and they are the elite force in the Caliphate. They are currently serving in the ViZion war, along with this new operation.

OOC: This is going to be a day-by-day affair, so anyone coming to stop me (Looking mainly at the Jarridia/Xeraph/Matich alliance that seems to have it in for me) does not have a clue about this and wont, if all goes well, have a clue for as much as a week as massive EMP strikes over the entire nation jettison it back to the Stone Age.

Daylami regulars, with the utmost of secrecy, began to arrive approximately 5 hours later. They took over the city of Turkmenbashi, which had been turned into HQ for the expedition. Turkmenistan was still doused in EMP fire every so often. The Tujue linked up with insurgent forces and guerrilla warriors as the Turkmen government dispared at its helplessness. The Turkmen didnt have a chance. Tujue regiments defeated and disbanded one division after another, organizing the Daylami sympathizers into new ones. The first members of the combined
rebel Turkmen-insurgent-Tujue forces came into sight of the city of Ashgabat, capital and last refuge of the Turkmen leaders.

The ISD central asian office had been long-forgotten after that hoopla with chagtai, but they were still there. In fact, they even and the arms caches left over from that abortive rebellion.

Donkeys with boxed RPG's being led over the mountains. It was cheesy- almost like something out of Rambo III, but it's what was happening. Small groups of Turkmen loyalists did exist. They didn't have a hope in hell, frankly, but they'd be well-armed and have enough explosives to wage a pretty nasty terrorist campaign.

OOC: Damn Turkmen. The Tujue themselves are originally from Central Asia, so Daylam and the conquered Turkmen should get along pretty well.

Somehow, news had leaked. The Daylami military had not been tight enough when it guarded the borders and EMP'd the nation. Turkmen loyalists were scant, but it only takes a few men to make a big fuss.

The Tujue regiments were in their finest hour. With news leaked out of the invasion, F/A-18Z Zupins destroyed whatever semblance of an SAM defence Ashgabat had possessed. Tujue regiments flooded into the beleaguered city, where a medium-size crowd cheered them on. Down with the dictatorship!

The Tujue were assisted by regulars. But in the countryside, the Tujue horsemen formed up into 'terror-hunting' squads, and scoured every house, every farm, every inch of the large nation for terrorists or guerrillas. The Tujue would flood into a county, destroy any anti-Daylam resistance, declare it "Daylamified" and then move on to the next. Called the "Great Sweep", all arms not in the hands of the Daylami Army were confiscated and their owners arrested.
