Operation "TeaClipper" announced ABM system. Help

we are building a new ABM system called "Teaclipper" The plan is to use free-electron lasers to send 5 megajoules of power into ICBMs. This seems like alot of power, but that is actually small since some is lost in the atmosphere. It is enough that a hit on any part of the missile will kill it when it hits. We need help in funding and development. If you help, you can deploy the finished system in your own nation.

We need orbiting mirrors for targeting. The current research calls for 5 lasers to converge on a ground mirror to send it (the energy) into space. These systems will abolish the need for destabalizing ICBMs.

Note: a single system can fire 8 times a second and automatically adjust for misses. Hit rate is 25%.

Interesting, we'll be passing this to our Advanced Weapons Research Bureau (AWRB) to consider financial and developmental help...

Sir,

For a cheaper alternative to your system, why not purchase tried and tested anti-ICBM munitions from our storefront. Click here (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=3073204) for more details.

Actually this is better since only 5 could cover the whole USA from Russia's entire nuclear arsenal

OOC: if you want to know my inspiration, it is "Cardinal of the Kremlin" by Tom Clancy.

It would be interesting to see how effective your "advanced" system is against Credonia's newly designed and deployed LGM-56B Demonic Fury Thermonuclear ICBM

Secret IC:
Perhaps we can run a test and see if the missiles systems can withstand your ABM defenses, and if not, perhaps we can tweak your system so that it can, making it perfect against ANY type of ICBM (mine included), as the LGM-56B is the most heavily self defended ICBM with its anti-abm defenses.

we have a system to test targeting. We use space shuttles to drop balloons the size of an RV moving at the same speed and fire at them. We can't yet produce the power to kill a real missile, but the targetting is improving

We would be interested in helping fund this program. Our anti-nuclear systems are all land based and even though we have four weaponsats orbiting, they are only for destruction of ground targets.

we welcome your help COmmunst Louisiana. All nations are welcome here.

The offer still stands even after your done testing

We would be willing to help. Our research and development departments have already begun looking into something like this and they reported back saying that we could not achieve it realistically with our own funds, so this helps both of us.

the system's computer glitch and blooming problems are fixed, it has now been deployed across IDF

Still up for a test run against a dummy Credonian LGM-56B Demonic Fury ICBM (the latest in credonian tech)?
