Today, after centuries of being occupied by foreigners, we the people of the city state of Sidon hereby declare our intention to reclaim our independence.
Sidon was created as an independent state in Lebanon until we were illegally invaded and occupied by first Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome, the arabs, then europeans and so on.
We wish that all foriegners leave Sidon immediately and that the occupying power (whoever claims Lebanon) to pull out his/her forces asap and respect our desire for independence.
