LNS, Coventry, Ilek-Vaad

Reports have come vin that Naval Guard Forces have been meeting at staging points on the east and west coasts of the Free Republic. Herre in Coventry 4 Battlegroups and 3 Carriergroups have assembled and the LNS news bureau in South Haven have reported that 5 Battlegroups and 3 Carriergroups have massed there.

It has been further reported that 6 Retliatory Guard armies have been activated and are prepared to move. There has been no comment from the Supreme Republican Commander or the Republican Council.

In Lassic, the Minister of Defence told reporters today that :

"Haven is Ilek-Vaad's home. Nations from outside of Haven have been bent on pouring military resources into our region to artifically prop up the Kazansky regime in Allanea and prolong the war . We will take action if necessary."

No action has yet been called for and no mandate has been given to the Supreme Republican Commander. It can only be assumed that the forces that are activated have been activated at the request of the First Republican.

"Edolia's Yasmarean province is under assault by Fluffywuffian forces. Ilek-Vaad is in a prime position to help us defend our people. Edolia does not have the time or the resources to rally a large defense of the province, though Ilek-Vaad would. If Ilek-Vaad wishes to come to the aid of their once -and perhaps still- allies, Yasmarea would be a place to do it. Peace and liberty."

In Lassic the Republican Council was still meeting even though it was well past 5 p.m.

"It is agreed then, we will give mandate to the Supreme Republican Commander to secure Haven against nations from other regions........" stated the Minister of Defence.

The R.O.P. Minister of Economics sighed heavily "We don't have much choice, the preponderance of fighting and military activity has slowed our economy by nearly 5%. Without outside aid Allanea would have succumbed by now and the war would be over."

The Vote was then unanimous, The First Republican conttacted the Supreme Republican Commander........

In Coventry the city was active as night fell. In the main port Retaliatory Guard Atlas Transports were lined up prepared to receive the Jaguar Army, the Storm Cloud Army and the Twisted Serpent Army. 240,000 men in all with 6,000 Thunderer II battletanks, 10,000 Scorpion LAV's and 6,000 HIND close support helicopters. They were being led by the 6th Red Jaguar Command.

Aboard the Battleship Revenge Command General Ibn Baibars and his 2,000 Red Jaguar Commandos were already loaded with their 200 Chok-Mool Heavy Battletanks. Command General Baibars paced the deck impatiently as he watched the Atlases.

"This humble dogs wishes only to be off of his leash!" he yelled to no one in particular.

His Staff Seargent approached and raised his clenched fist in salute "Command General, I have word from Tollan!"

Baibars grinned like a jackal "At last, point me to my enemies and I shall crush there very bodies and souls and scatter them to the ground, like so many stones among stones!"

"We are headed to Yasmara, FluffyWuffy has staged a sneak attack on Edolian land in Haven."

Baibars grinned again "They will wish they had not come to our home, this dog has a viscious bite ands guards his house well."

In South Haven, in the west Command General Adan Ring received orders as he dined

"Sir Tollan instructs you to mave against Yallack off the south west coast of Allanea, we have mandate to strike at all forces from outside Haven." stated the runner that barged in.

Command General Ring reservedly studied his steak " Very well, make my men ready in a day or two, there is no rush as of yet."

I have been given mandate to strike at non-Haven forces and to make my best attempt to end ALL of the conflicts within the region of Haven. We will fight any who array against us, and we will fight with whoever stands with us. I make no guarantees or promises. Command General Ibn Baibars is on his way to Yasmara. He will have no mercy on any who stand against him.

The First Republican, Unrath Assad approached the steps of the House of the Republic and approached the podium set with microphones, lights from dozens of camera's were set on his tall form, nearly 6'5" his dark bronze skin made him look like a brazen statue. His sharp aquiline arabic features accented his black piercing eyes. His long hair (down to his ankles) was set in a pony tail and 4 braids, 2 down the front , 2down the bakc.

He stood at the podium and spoke immediately.

"People of the Free Republic. Our region has been beset by foreign powers who seek to pour military forces and supplies into Haven and destabilize our region, and by that our nation.

Everyday new forces arrive to try and stake a claim to lands in Haven, and attack our neighbors. Their warships block the path of our mercahnts, the skies are filled with their planes and make commercial air travel near impossible. These irresponsible nations rally around the fascist dictator of Allanea.

It's time they went home! The Republican Council has given mandate to the Supreme Republican Commander to send them home, in body bags if necessary.

I say to all foreign powers that have sent forces into our region and destabilized it, leave now, or we are coming for you."

"This measure by Ilek Vaad has been a movement provoked by UnAPS to lengthen and escalate the war that is in progress. Fluffywuffy is an ally of Phyrric and has been called upon to assist in the defeat of the beligerents of UnAPS.

May I remind the Nation of Ilek Vaad why they have left UnAPS?

Edolia is in a state of war with Phyrric and has wished for the thunder to be called. Now that it has arrived, they wish to cower down behind a wall of lies and deceipt in an attempt to escalate the current situation.

The fleets that have been massing in the Haven straights are not of foreign Nations alone as other UnAPS nations, both inside and outside the region of Haven, have been massing: such as Agrigento and Hattia.

The outside Nations that you speak of and concerned about have no intentions of war with Ilek-Vaad and have been asked not to make war with Ilek-Vaad. As we both know, the straights that lead to SW Allanea has been closed by the Nation of Phyrric. An attempt to muster Ilek-Vaad aid in this issue by UnAPS is a clear example of the polics and diplomacy the wish to engage in. If it is war that Ilek-Vaad has been waiting for, and the call from UnAPS is the side they desire to pursue, then the cause for war that was fed to Ilek-Vaad was nothing less than total deception."

All nations will cease hostiliities in the region of Haven. The only suffering is that of the people that call the region home. Phyrrus has chose to ally itself with Allanea, the aggressor in the conflict and Enemy of the Republic. All forces fighting in Haven will cease, or will be met with the might of the Retaliatory Guard.

We will not allow the safety and integrity of our region be threatened by the ignorant and petty political squabbles of ignorant rulers.

The Democratic Underground government has no official position on this war, and in fact most member nations of the region are not even aware of its occurrence. We have no objection to Ilek-Vaad's request for regional peace to be requested, and will not take any position with regards to Haven intra-regional affairs.
