With the release of newer IST-03 tanks, IST-02 tanks (M60A3) are being refitted for a new life under a new designation and design: the IST-02E1
The IST-02E1 replaces the tank's turret with an armored module containing Microwave/Radio Jamming Equipment. The emitter dish on the tank will broadcast Microwave/Radio inteference across a broad-spectrum of frequencies over a 5-km range (and in an arc of 90 degrees in front of the tank). The vehicle retains all other characteristics of the IST-02, but it only has a 50 caliber machine gun for defense (accessable by the commander).
The vehicle will cost $1,500,000 and will be available for sale after the UnAPS-Allanea conflict.
