((OOC: World Wargame?))

I was thinking, wouldn't it be great to have an all-out, battle-to-the-death war that everyone agreed wouldn't count before it started? That way no one would be so touchy about joining and losing, people would just pick a side and fight, reguardless of the reason. I realize that some of the RP may be lost in the lack-of-reason thing, but just think of the strategy and the opporunity to have a killer war with everyone! Melkor and Siri could duke it out and not give a crap about who gets caught in the crossfire, I could bomb the living hell out of Roania, the list goes on.

Thoughts, anyone?

WA is, most definitely, in (but gimmie 2 weeks or so, so that I will not have school bs to worry about too much).

Since I control Meggido (also written sometimes as Megiddo), the actual reported location for the battle of "Armageddon," would you like to run something there?

Three guesses as to my opinion of the idea....

I don't see how it could. I mean, how would modern-tech nations even stand a chance against mile-long star cruisers?

sure, sounds good.

I was thinking that future tech nations could side with modern tech and defend them besides they are seven mile long star cruisers not one.

As long as both sides had relativly equal forces it could work.
Anyway, nuclear missiles deal with mile-long starcruisers pretty well, even in the future.
Just letting you know, most FutureTech nations maintain what is basicaly a futuristic looking army. DGNT's one 'future' army section is its Battlesuits, other than that were sort of like the guys from HALO :P

i'm in, although:
1) is it an all-out melee or do we split up into two camps beforehand?
2) do we need figure out where everyone is in the world (for tactical and strategic planning purposes)?
3) how long would this wargame take in RP terms? if we allow armies to rearm and reinforce too much, this would drag on and on and on...
4) when will it be (RL)?

Interesting...although, give me a few weeks, I've got a lot of schoolwork to do in the coming weeks and such; and standarized test...phooh. Perhaps we can even wait 'til summer? Gives us all a time to prepare a lot of military supplies and build up our arsenals, and organize the whole shebang. And gives me time to develop my secret weapon :P
