Senate at odds

Rotovia

Reporter: "I'm here outside the Central Government Building where the President has retreated to after a firery exchange of venom amoung his own party in the Senate House just minutes ago. Early in the day the President pushed an Bill of Supply authorising the payment of $10 Billion USD to the Aztec National Laegue, a move not that uncommon for the Senate to take in reaction to a conflict in an allies nation. However the stark anti-communist factions of Rotovia's Liberal Party would not be silenced seeing for the first time in 16 years the President Dionysus Baccheus and Vice President Julia Aptiva at odds. President Baccheus a staunch Liberal-Socialist had been pushing the Senate to move towards mroe effective healthcare and social welfare for the past week, this only served to highten the situation when in questiontime Senator Aptiva posed the question "What is more important some socialist ally or ending the conflict with the communist tyrants in Crete?". The Senate irupted into such an uproar the Speaker ordered the room be forcabley cleared, seeing the first time armed forces have ever been allowed in the Senate Chambers. More on this story as it comes"

This situation is of major concern of us. While the ANL does respect the opinions of those certain anti-communist senators and leaders, we also would like to emphasize the close relationship between our two nations. If there could be any trade or diplomatic agreements to appease both sides, we are willing to compromise and negotiate. However, we will be reasonable and if a negotiation can not be reached, then let's move on from there.

"The Governemnt of Rotovia will stand by our choice to support our ally. The issue of Communisim has always been of great concern to great number of Rotovians, however I am sure the people of Rotovia are smart enough to know the diffrence between a caring Socialist Government and the kind of tyranical Communism that goes on in Crete."

Although your words are encouraging, we will still keep tabs on this issue. Communism for many nations is a major split issue that's problems are hard to identify and even harder to resolve fairly. Alas, we will continue to watch the situation, however, I still feel the ANL's oldest ally is still among the closest.
