In response to unspecified threats and conflicts around the world, 80,000 troops from the Northern Region Military Complex have been called up for mobilization and possible deployment.

Among those units called up include elements the 3rd Republic Legion, and the 5th Army Corp.

Military air traffic at Eredron military bases both at home and abroad has increased significantly in the past two hours, although government officials refuse to comment further on the readying of Eredronian military forces.

Eredron News has learned the Military Command Staff has ordered an additional 80,000 soldiers for possible deployment, bringing the total to 160,000 men. In addition, sources within the military report that an unknown number of Tu-180 Implacable Bombers took off from the NRMC this evening, although the military will not comment on the matter.

Sources have also disclosed that "top officials of the Republic" have been in contact with the Kenyan government, seeking permission to land Eredronian forces there as part of a ground campaign into Somalia, as well as to provide a "long-term stabilizing presence in Kenya".
