With the civil war still raging in the south of our nation there was only a minor chance of the present President, Jack Shallahan to get reelected.
There were 3 parties, the HPPO (HP for Panoolians Only), FPP (Free Panooly Party) and Shallahans party CL (Conservative Lunatics).

When the radical nationalistic party HPPO was elected after making promises to stop the violence in south, the newly elected president has sworn to punish the guilty traitors in our nations, i.e. all foreigners. Most HP citizens who are tired of all violence hoped the president was meaning the drug mob. Alas, they were wrong.

3 weeks later...

All HP borders have been closed and air traffic canceled. Everyone who doesn't posses a HP passport is now a potential victim of the new oppressive regime.

Another 3 weeks later...

It all started in the city of Charcheon where hundreds of police agents started marching out of the policestations. In a neighbouthood were lots of foreigners lived the police officers forced them out of their houses and appartments. Many were driven through the streets to special trucks waiting to pick them up. Their destination is unknown but rumors have spread they won't come back alive.

-SECRET- This is the part about the camps in the Panooly Jungle, no one knows this, except the prisoners and some high government officials.

When the first colonne of trucks, about 30 of them, reached the camp many prisoners could be heard. Death was everywhere in the jungle. Those who were very unlucky were locked in a small cage which hung in a tree. When the commanding officer, Leighmar saw the trucks coming he ordered to organize a small demonstration.

The removal of the parasites are right on schedule. We are making preperations for bigger actions within our nation. Holy Panooly will never be the same again.

But first we have a few problems to deal with in the south. With the army being reorganized as we speak we are sure to achieve a sudden victory without mercy. Although lots of nations have helped us is the south there was little or no progress, escpecially in and around Volta.

The newly elected president asks the nations who are currently in the HP south to leave, except Cam III, we need him most.

WOODSTOCK (ASP) -- When Holy Panooly announced a policy of ethnic cleansing, President Mike Sarzo ordered all Sarzonian citizens to leave Holy Panooly immediately. He also ordered the immediate evacuation of the Sarzonian embassy.

Thanks for the offer but water is much more effective in this case. We have 50 deathcamps right now and we're already at maximum capacity. We've increased the number of "removals" from 120,000 per day to 200,000.

The peoples republic of Momanguise condens HP's actions, describing them as 'evil' and 'barbaric'.

The nation also offers Holy Panooly a way out, Momanguise has long held a history of kindness and understanding to foriegners in need, and she will arange to have the citiezens in question transported to Momanguise.

Our government is now also removing the annoying religious elements from our nation. Thanks for reminding me. They have been interfering with our politics too long. The president wishes not to be assiociated with a "God" or a supreme human being. Religion is poison and it has to be removed from our honoust nation.

There is a difference between organized religion and forcing a population to conform to a new way of life and a new title for their leader. President Anderson is said to be considering sending troops in from the MAU (Marine Amphibous unit, a reinforced regiment) that is currently in the area along with the carrier IHS Christopher D Anderson to secure the USIH embassy in the country.
The growing discontent towards foreigners is said to "worry" the President, but he has not commented on it further. He has also commented on the new governments hypocrytical attitude to foreigners, allowing 500 troops from Inner Heaven into the country whilst asking all others to leave in particular.

Sarzonian President Mike Sarzo paced his bedroom suite in the Gray House, unable to sleep. The ethnic cleansing in Holy Panooly had resulted in all Sarzonians escaping the country and the embassy closing, but Sarzo lay awake at night with a helpless and angry feeling.

At 2:30 in the morning, the phone rang in his room. He picked up.

"Sarzo?"

"Holy Panooly has just announced a round of religious persecution," said the voice on the other end of the line. It was a senior Delegate who was one of Sarzo's closest friends.

The Republic of Eredron wishes to publicly reaffirm the action of the Secretary-General.

WOODSTOCK (ASP) -- President Mike Sarzo today took the strongest steps of late since the announcement of Holy Panooly's ethnic cleansing campaign.

"I have directed the navy to dispatch a sizable force to Holy Panooly," Sarzo said. "We can no longer stand idly by while such barbarism is taking place, coalition or no coalition."

Two aircraft carrier battle groups and three Iowa class battleships sailed toward the shores of Holy Panooly. Several attack submarines also diverted course from international waters toward Holy Panooly. Sarzo said that Sarzonia's military reserves were being called up.

"We will continue to endeavor to establish a coalition in an effort to end this barbaric practice peacefully," Sarzo said. "But we need to be prepared in the event that we will not be able to resolve this at the negotiating table."

Because this is an extreme situation the president has signed a new act which forces all citizens between 20 and 50 to serve for our nation. We have the weapons and equipment to defend ourselves, plus we're self sufficient.

OOC: It's nice to make coalitions and such but I'm not in the mood for hundreds of nations eager to invade me. I've talked to AU about this and we both agreed this turns into a vietnam style war. It's much more fun and there will be much more resistance from my side. I also made clear that nuke attacks will be ignored. I don't like them and they ruin wars not to mention everyone forgets what happens after you dropped the bomb.

The president ordered to build huge gaschambers and crematoriums next to them in the old camps as well as new ones. The total number of deathcamps is now 33. This was to eradicate the foreigners even faster than before. The original drowning method was still suited for other unwanted persons but the foreigners were driven into massive gaschambers. Official Declaration of Intentions: Austarian Government

As the chief nation of the Austarian Empire, the Republican Government has today announced that they will stage an invasion of Holy Panooly territory, to rid the nation of the nazi-like government. In the Austarian Empire, it seems as if preparations have already begun, and the opening of the invasion will begin within the week (OOC Week).

This is set to be a massive operation, and already with plans being made, the Austarian Troops are already high in morality.

When HP soldiers picked up word AU is preparing a massive invasion 6 deathcamps in the south were ordered to boost the killing rate with another 2000 extra prisoners per day. From the original 14 million foreigners in HP only 7 million are still alive. 6,9 million are in the camps and awaiting death. The 100,000 who managed to flee HP are considered extremely lucky.

James Frwyhn, Head of the SF ordered to set boobytraps in the jungle. Prisoners from nearby camps had to set them up in the most inhuman circumstances. Death and disease were onmipresent. These years are the darkest of the whole HP history.

WOODSTOCK (ASP) -- President Mike Sarzo "laid down the gauntlet" as the ethnic cleansing in Holy Panooly escalated, giving their government "one last chance" to avert war.

"Today, I issue a final warning to the illicit government of Holy Panooly to cease their practice of ethnic cleansing and religious genocide," Sarzo said in a speech before a joint session of Parliament. "You have [six hours RL time] to cease these barbaric practices and allow the legitimate government of Holy Panooly to resume office."

Sarzo also announced that another aircraft carrier battle group led by the super carrier Vengeance and two Parliament-class battleships [OOC: information about the class is on Isselmere's storefront link] to Holy Panooly. In addition, approximately 250,000 troops also are on their way to Holy Panooly.

"We still want peace," the Senate's majority leader said after Sarzo's speech. "But as you saw today, we're definitely willing to put partisanship aside when freedom is at risk, as it most clearly is in Holy Panooly."

Additional attack submarines also set course for Holy Panooly and three ballistic missile submarines set up shop, training their missiles on military targets.

WOODSTOCK (ASP) -- As the waning minutes before the deadline imposed by President Mike Sarzo ticked on the clock, the nervous members of Parliament looked at each other. They knew they were about to do something that would put the entire country at risk.

The House majority leader looked at Sarzo, whose calm demeanor belied the fact his heart was racing and he was dreading every approaching second.

Finally, the deadline came and went, and Holy Panooly's resounding rejection seared through the air of the chamber. A first-year Delegate rose up in her chair, shaking as she uttered the words no one in the room wanted to say.

"Mr. Chairman, I move that the Incorporated States of Sarzonia declare war on Holy Panooly."

An audible sigh followed, then an aging Senator weakly uttered, "Second."

"It's been moved and seconded that we declare war. Any discussion?"

The 30 seconds the chairman waited after his last word crossed his lips seemed like an eternity to everyone in the room, from lawmaker to clerk to television cameraman to reporter scribbling the events into a notebook. Finally, he spoke again.

"Hearing none, all those in favor, please signify by pressing the 'Aye' button on the left hand side of your table. All those opposed, please signify by pressing the 'Nay' button on the right side of your table. Any abstentions, please signify by pressing the 'Abstain' button in the middle of your table."

The vote progressed slowly, as each member hesitated over his or her button of choice, fully aware of the consequences either way. Finally, the computerized voting system registered the official tally onto an electronic pad at the desk of the chairman. He took the electronic pad, showed the results to Sarzo, then stammered into the mic.

"By a count of 21 votes to 15 in the Senate and by a vote of 88 votes to 81 in the House of Delegates, Parliament votes in favor of a declaration of war. Does the President concur?"

"I concur," Sarzo said, his voice unshaken though his body sure felt every bit of tension it could take. "By official proclomation, the Incorporated States of Sarzonia are in a state of war with Holy Panooly."

The news travelled quickly to the Vengeance, as the super carrier readied into position and Admiral Charles Taylor, the commanding officer of the Sarzonian fleet walked toward the communications console as the message came from Woodstock.

"It all begins," Taylor said, his voice registering a bemused tone that included a slight trace of fear.

"All units, initiate bombardment sequence Alpha 1." Every ship with a missile or gun ready to bombard a target trained weapons on selected targets in Holy Panooly.

"Need I remind you that our objective is to knock out their military capabilities only. Do not target civilians. You may target their jungles, however. Initiate aircraft attack sequence Alpha."

A first wave of fighter jets zoomed off the Vengeance's deck, while the Soverign and the Ranger also launched their jets.

"Notify the Axis Nova commander that we have begun the attack sequence," Taylor said. "Use the coded channel."

"Aye sir."

"All units, open fire."

"All units, initiate bombardment sequence Alpha 1." Every ship with a missile or gun ready to bombard a target trained weapons on selected targets in Holy Panooly.

[OOC note: Alpha 1 sequence means that every ship with a missile or every ship with a gun in range launches three rounds of missiles or three broadsides at the selected targets.]

OOC: I know I wasn't included in HP's original list of ppl who could get involved, but since this thread will be popping up on my "your posts list" for a long time and such, I think it would be a good idea if I kept in...not to mention, were missing a very integral part in this war....a nuetral!

Admiral Karl Martins read over the recent status report of the combined FPS Carrier and Amphibious Task Force...which he was fully incharge of. As he finished the report, he looked over recent public releases by the governments involved, and couldn't help but frown. This was going to turn into one hell of a mess.

Standing up, the admiral looked around the Admiral's Bridge of the FPS Carrier U.S.S. Independence. Walking across the room, he adressed Commander Wilson, his cheif aide. "Jeff, what are the status of other fleets in the area?"

Wilson turned from the computer screen he'd been studying. "Well, sir, the Sarzonian task force just came on radar screen, consisting of a supercarrier, two large battleships, and a number of support ships. The AU Fleet is still sitting off the coast of HP, growing larger by the hour, and from what we can tell Axis Nova has some ships in the area supporting it's efforts."

"Total number of ships?" The admiral asked.

"I'm not sure of the exact number, but its in the seventies." the commander replied, watching as the admiral grimaced. "ALthough, as of yet, we haven't detected any non-conventional launch systems, or balistic missile subs."

"Well, that's good. Continue trying to get in touch with HP, see if they'll give us some of those foreigners without killing them, and then try to get in touch with the AU fleet leader. I doubt we'll be moving troops in, but somehow I think a command will be giving us orders to the jist of 'Send non-combat aid to aid the coalition.' very soon. In either case, getting on his good side will be a good idea. Now get on those telegrams!"

"Yes sir." the commander replied, rushing across the room to start typing them up.

In the meantime, in the Austarian Colony of Austarvia, reports have been coming out of hundreds upon hundreds of Transtar F-2's have been leaving Austarian airspace. The government has not yet commentated, however analysts speculate that the Transtars are loaded with troops and are heading towards Holy Panooly. If speculations are true, there should be a strong Austarian presence inside Holy Panooly within 12 hours.

In the oceans around Holy Panooly, the Austarian Fleets have spread and have issued a full blockaid of the area. All neighbours of Holy Panooly will not be affected, but all ships coming in and out will be searched for weapons. If weapons are found, the ship will be turned back immediatly. If a ship attempts to run the blockaid, it will be sunk after 3 hails. All ships will be tracked by Akila Class Submarines which are patrolling the area as we speak.

No official declaration of war has been given yet by the Austarians.

In the secret missile silos everything was made ready for the coming invasion. At the HP military bases planes and Seaking helicopters took off to find the Sarzonia navy and to blow them back to the stone age.

Admiral Martins looked over the telegram, and nodded. He wasn't surprised in the slightest by Austar Union's actions and intentions, and personally thought FPS should be fighting alongside them. But that wasn't his choice...yet.

Walking across the Admiral's Bridge, the admiral handed the telegram to an ensign, ordering him to forward it back to main naval command. As the ensign replied, the admiral stepped back, and looked out the wide window in front of him. In the distance, the nearest AU blockade ship could be seen, along with a Sarzonian ship. Of course, AU and Sarzonian ships seemed to be everywhere, with more arriving by the minute, but a group of five warships within mile was still a sight to see.

Admiral Martins only wished his fleet ships could be counted among the number of warships...but as of yet, they just seemed to be...fleet ships.

President Matthew Terrus sat down at his desk in the Trapezoidal Office of the Blue House, and looked over the AU telegram. Somehow, he doubted congress would allow him to enter troops into support of such an operation. But then, who would? The terrain resembled that of the Vietnam and Korean wars.... both of which were extremely deadly, and extremely horrific.

Yet, the president couldn't simply stand by and let the genocide continue. Standing up, he walked from his office towards the capital building to ask congress for a declaration of war. With any hope, they would agree to declare war.

Little is known about Mr. Rixx but rumours go he's trying to find artifacts to boost the HP soldiers morale and to finance the party with old and valuable objects. In all of his excavations slave workers are being used and abused by the guards. To quote him, "I simply don't care, what harm could a little work possibly do to them?"

James Meissner Leader of the Storm Force, Police and Secret Police
This person is responsible for the gathering and deportation of all foreigners to the deathcamps. He ordered the soldiers of the Storm Force (about 50,000) to kill all who tried to flee. This resulted in a mass killing which cost 9035 people their lives. His way of controlling the masses with an oppressive (secret) police force makes sure no one steps out of the line.
These people should be the prime targets of taskforces and other pesons hellbent on finding them. The total number of foreigners is way loo low, the government said in previous statements it was about 14 million but true numbers are 24 million people for foreign origine. The real number of people being killed lies between 11 and 14 million ATM.

WOODSTOCK (ASP) -- When Parliament declared war against Holy Panooly, the decision automatically enacted a law that Parliament quietly passed on Founder's Day: The Wartime Powers Act. The Wartime Powers Act specifies that the Incorporated Constitution of Sarzonia is suspended and that all decisions by President Mike Sarzo are binding for the duration of the war. The Act is automatically revoked once the war ends.

Among the rights that are suspended during wartime are freedom of speech and the right to dissent. Arrests may be made without a warrant or without normally due process if there is "a preponderance of evidence" leaning toward a need to arrest someone.

"We never take the rights of Sarzonian citizens lightly," Sarzo said, explaining the law to a foreign journalist. "We felt we had to make it emphatically clear that once a state of war no longer exists, the Sarzonian Constitution is fully restored to its prewar status. However, we need our citizens to be fully behind what we're doing."

The first war in Sarzonian history began when Holy Panooly ignored Sarzo's "ultimatum" to end its practice of ethnic cleansing.

"We gave them three chances to stop the practice, but they either completely ignored us or they flat-out rejected our overtures," Sarzo said. "Sarzonians abhor needless wars, but the illicit government of Holy Panooly leaves us little choice."

Sarzo angrily brushed aside a suggestion that ethnic cleansing that does not affect Sarzonians directly was not the country's concern.

President Mike Sarzo was jarred out of a cabinet meeting when Senior Vice President for External Affairs Mark Lorber handed him a bulletin from the war front. One close read of the bulletin turned Sarzo's face ashen white, then beet red.

"Meeting adjourned," Sarzo said abruptly. He stood up and raced toward the command center in the basement of the Gray House. He grabbed the communication device.

"Get me Admiral Taylor. NOW!" Sarzo bellowed into the device.

After a 15 second delay, the excessively chipper voice came back at the other end. "Taylor."

"You owe me an explanation," Sarzo said. "You just bombed a city that's not part of Holy Panooly and just took untold thousands of innocent lives."

"Mr. President, I don't think Theotihuacan is all that innocent."

"On what grounds?"

"They're on the way to Panooly City. That's all the grounds I need," Taylor said with an arrogance that served him well in the military ranks, though it rankled his subordinates. All of a sudden, it wouldn't serve him well.

"You forget who you're dealing with Chuck," Sarzo said. Over on the Vengeance, Taylor's demeanor suddenly changed to a grim one. He hated the name Chuck and Sarzo knew it.

"I'm not some ensign fresh out of the academy," Sarzo said, stating the obvious. "I'm the President, YOUR commander in chief. You will not talk to ME in that manner, understood?"

"Yes, Mr. President."

"Now, listen to me. If you don't send me a DETAILED explanation of what your intelligence was telling you about Theotihuacan within the hour, I will have your rank and you will fly straight back to Woodstock on a prison plane for a court martial. Is THAT clear?"

"Crystal," Taylor said.

Sarzo heard the comment and realized that Taylor tried one final jab. Sarzo wasn't having it.

"For that matter, Chuck, you're now demoted to Commander. The plane will be there in five minutes and you are under arrest."

"You can't arrest me! I'm --"

Taylor never got to finish his protest. He was being dragged over to the prison plane as Sarzo turned off the frequency.

Commodore Marcus Patinkin surveyed the damage reports from the bombardment with a grimace. The war was certainly not off to a very good start.

"We have to do a better job with our intelligence," Patinkin said. "Otherwise, we'll be in a whole heap of trouble."

Our troops have been given a drug like LSD, but with less of the consequential side-effects. It gives them a form of hyperreflexia enabling them to move at higher rates and have faster reflexes. We have produced some intersting stealth technology as well as trained our soldiers in the way of the ninja to aid us in our efforts, whatever they may be.

Ask and we may ablige to you, for we are loyal to our allies, and like a deadly plauge to our enemies. Our groups have been trained in many tactics and stratedgies and we have many capabilities and a myriad of troop types. Like movement specialtists, infantry, raiders, gunmen, and many others which we like to keep *snicker* under wraps.

We our honored to join this battle.

Muktar is likewise POed at this ethnic cleansing, and will provide military support Vaenv, Austar Union, and *grinds teeth* Sarzonia. We will mobilize our force of Visiran Stalker Stealth Tanks, Dauthi Urban Combat Cavalry, and Zhalfirin Guerillas. We will also be using Krosan Attack helicopters to sneak Cateran Assassins and Soldevi Infiltrators into the nation, assuming we can find a safe entry area.

Only Axis Nova, Sarzonia and AU are in this conflict. More nations will only result in misunderstandings and godmodding.

Karl Martins woke up, wondering what the hell anyone would be calling him so soon after he had fallen aslee...wait a minute...that wasn't the phone..that was the...

The admiral was out of his bed immediatly, and within a few seconds had his uniform back on. In the backround, he could her the words "All hands to battlestations, this is not a drill." could still be heard. Rushing from his cabin, Martins had to jump to avoid another crewmember. Not even waiting for the mans salute, he rushed on, making for the Admiral's bridge.

When he arrived, he was confronted by his aide. "What the hell is going on Jeff?" he asked, not even letting Commander Wilson start to explain.

"Sir, Sarzonian bombers just blew the living hell out of parts of Theotihuacan. Since them, there has been 3 times as much activity in the Sarzonian main fleet. As per maritime fleet operation orders..."

The admiral cut Wilson off. "All FPS ships are supposed to do any and all possible to protect the lives of citizens. Contact command, and tell them what the hell is going on, and simultaneously contact Theotihuacan, offering humanitarian aid."

"Yes sir." Wilson said, and, turning, he walked across the room. As he did so, Martins grabbed the intercom phone, asking for bridge.

When the captain came on Martins cut him off (as usual). "Captain, I want you to get several wings of fighters in the air, and prepare them to make for Theotihuacan on a protection run. Do not send them untill I tell you to, we don't yet have permission."

"Yes sir." the captain sounded worried over the phone. "Sir, what happens if they try to bomb the city again?"

"In that case, captain, under my orders you are to make an attack run on the carrier or airbase that launched the bombers, and your also to do your best to take out the aircraft that bombed the city."

"Aye aye sir. Bridge out." Martins put the phone down, hearing on the shipwide as the captain began launching fighters. If anyone attacked that city again, then the nuetrality of his fleet would go to hell. Not that Martins wouldn't like that, but he'd like it to be against HP, not against thet coalition.

In Faramount, the capital of FPS, the vote came to an end. FPS would NOT declare war on Holy Panooly as of yet. As President Terrus returned to his office, he swore. The evil party in this conflict was obviously Holy Panooly. They were currently exterminating entire portions of their population. And the coalition were there trying to help! They were, without a doubt, the good guys.

And yes, the last fleet report had shown bombers being launched at HP, but surely to attack military targets in an HP city. It wasn't like anyone would bomb the hell out of the civilian districts of a non-involved city!

Sarzo looked at the telegram from the HP president, shook his head first, then crumpled the paper and threw it into the recycling bin.

"Contact Commodore Patinkin," Sarzo said.

"This is Commodore Patinkin," came the reply from the radio.

"The President of Holy Panooly has just threatened Sarzonia," Sarzo said. Sarzo wired the text of the threat to Patinkin.

"I suggest you find out where that transmission came from and reply in kind. "

An additional fleet of Sarzonian ships headed toward Holy Panooly, led by newly-promoted Commodore Brian Taylor. Taylor, no relation to the deposed admiral, looked at the map and realized that Sarzonian intelligence was unreliable.

"Contact Commodore Patinkin on the coded channel and notify him that we are en route," Taylor said.

"Acknowledged, Taylor," Patinkin said. "There's no telling what kind of enemy this government of Holy Panooly is. I suggest be prepared for anything.

General Mark Wilson was also dispatched aboard the Fleetwood with Taylor's fleet carrying an additional 300,000 troops and 500 Chamberlain tanks, plus 275 smerches.

Aboard the Vengeance, Patinkin asked the returning fighters to assess the damage to the bombarded city.

"Our intelligence really failed us," Patinkin said with a rueful shake of his head. [OOC: HP, you map was pretty damn confusing if the city I bombarded was not part of your country. I definitely wouldn't have ordered it to be bombed if I didn't think it was part of Holy Panooly.] "We need to do a better job of finding our targets."

"Aye sir," came the reply from the lieutenant Patinkin was talking to. "Sir, we've got to expect that Holy Panooly's going to retaliate. Should I ready the anti-missile defense systems?"

"Yes, definitely," Patinkin said. "We can't know what Holy Panooly will do. Their government can't be trusted."

"I am not questioning you, but we are not on good terms with Sarzonia..."

"Look, this can not be allowed to happen any longer. This nation is one of values and we will no allow some grudge that we have get in the way of that. Now call General Primaris and tell him to mobilize 150,000 ground troops. I also want you to contact our air force and send 10 carriers to Holy Paloony right away."

"Yes, father"

Nellis walks to his window and sighs. He then looks in the mirror and knows what he is doing is right.

General Allenberg paced backwards and forwards in his office. Pausing, he raced over to his desk, and read over a document sitting over his desk. Quickly, he raced over to his computer to send off an order to a Missile Center for an ICBM strike to be launched, EMP warhead. He had taken a few EMP lessons when it had been released, and he knew that with the right trajectory and height of detonation, the EMP effectivity could wipe out the entire of Holy Panooly electric services. Such a disturbance would reek havoc in Panooly efforts, both war and civillian.

In the main missile tracking center, dozens of men were tracking the five missiles launched only minutes previous. The missiles were launched into such an arc, that it would be impossible, or very unlikely for any anti-ballistic systems to register that the missiles were on their way. The ICBM's, which were launched, were known as the Freedom ICBM. The missiles had some 20 warheads each, all of them being EMP. Minutes passed, and the ICBMs were continuing to be tracked. Now, over the geographical center of Holy Panooly, the missiles begun the end of the arc. Entering the upper layers of atmosphere, so far, the HP Anti-Ballistic Systems showed no activity, for they had not yet registered the incoming missiles.

As the ICBMs reached the correct height over Holy Panooly, the men inside the Missile Command Center ordered the detonation of the missiles....

OOC: HP, these missiles have detonated high enough to spread the blast over your entire nation, so im expecting all those electric circuts not EMP protected to be fried thoughout the WHOLE of HP. And dont try to claim that your entire nation has been protected, because that would be so expensive it would be a GODMOD to claim such a thing. And I was able to avoid any anti-missile systems because the arc of the missile meant that the missile was too high to be detected when over HP, until the very last moments when the ICBMs were detonated. And any kind of system that CAN detect the missiles would have to be future-tech, which I dont recognise anyway in Nationstates (being a modern-tech nation).

Im not trying to say that your godmodding, actually, this RP was written earlier for another RP I was doing, but I never got to make the post so I adjusted the names, so sorry if I come across that way ;)

Subspace Above Holy Panooly

As the Transtars raced through subspace, the troops couldnt help but get curious as to where they were exactly. Looking out the side port, they could see he earth below them, glowing a nice blueish haze. Looking out the port couldnt tell them that the fleet of Transtars were only several minutes into entry into Holy Panooly.

Up in the cabins of all the Transtars, a detonation was detected over Holy Panooly.

OOC: Hmm, well thats fine about the ICBM's being detected then, but you made a bit of a mistake in your RP. My ICBM's were EMP detonated high up in the atmosphere. Now, if you detonate an EMP missile high enough in the atmosphere, the EMP effects should spread over a sizable portion of your nation ;)

Aboard the ISS Vengeance, Commodore Marcus Patinkin listened to the announcement from Holy Panooly's illegitimate leader with his hands clenched in rage. He turned and threw a punch in the direction of a padded wall behind his position on the bridge.

The coded transmission came in unexpectedly.

"This is Captain Mark Johnson of the ISS Valiant. We have arrived with more reinforcements. We await your orders, sir."

Even in his still-angered state, Patinkin managed a smile. Sarzonia now had six aircraft carriers, including two super carriers and four medium sized carriers in the region. The Sarzonian fleet now numbered in excess of 100 ships, many of them with enough firepower to batter almost any small country into submission if they fell into the wrong hands.

Temptation hit Patinkin. He ached desperately to launch another strike against Holy Panooly, but he knew his orders from Navy Chief John Newman were clear. He was not going to make the same mistakes that Admiral Taylor did. Playing a waiting game was killing him.

"See if you can run a trace on the location of that transmission," Patinkin said.

"Aye sir," the lieutenant set to work.

Colonel Bryan Buckingham also contacted Patinkin with news that the troops trained heavily in Sarzonian forests to mimic Holy Panooly's terrain. They also came with a supply of camoflauge and flash bangs, plus a set of sunglasses.

"What's all this, Colonel?"

"We've been training specifically for jungle and guerilla-type warfare," Buckingham said.

"Splendid," Patinkin said.

Patinkin walked over to the communications panel.

"Contact the coalition forces of Austaria and Axis Nova on the coded channel. Let them know we're itching to do something constructive to our war efforts."

"Aye sir." The lieutenant sent the coded message. Now, all Patinkin could do was wait.

In Panooly City, citizens were going about their daily lives. Everything was normal inside the busy and highly populated city. There was a tense feeling in the air, as they had been awaiting anything from the coalition. But feelings were getting calmer. Nothing had happened in a while....

Suddenly, overhead a large booming noise came from overhead. It sounded similar to an explosion, yet, not quiet. As people looked up at the sky, they could see a white streak racing across it, behind it, were several hundred streaks, in a V like formation. As citizens watched in awe, small dots appeared to be jumping from the streaks.

Watching for a few minutes, Panooly citizens began to wonder exactly what was going on. To their horror, as the dots began to drift back down to earth, they realised the dots were in fact Austarian Troops. The sky was littered with them, in rediculous proportions. Children began to try to count them, but soon lost count as they got to anything over 500.

As the troops drifted to the ground, citizens began to scatter as the troops began to target anything government, militia, or military within the city.

Never before had the Austarians taken such a powerful approach. As the offense began, the Austarians organised themselves into Platoons, rushing to attack any government or military targets within the city. Their orders were to not fire on civillians, however they knew that in the battles, there would be some civillian casualties...

As fighting continued within Panooly City, the Austarians were continuesly being dropped via the Transtar F-2. The total number of Austarians dropped into the city now numbered 1 million. As fighting continued, the Austarian generals were watching via SatFeed, confident that the city would fall within 24 hours....

OOC: Thats not to say that you cant defend it. And if your wondering how I got the troops in, research a bit about the Transtar.... Through its method, its an incredibly fast and reliable way of transporting troops and equipment. And it also bypasses most modern-tech defenses... ;)

OOC: where the hell did those troops come from? What is transtar? Who says your troops walk into my nation unopposed? Where did you land? Was it by plane, bus, bicycle, wheelchair? Please elaborate.

The Transtar is similar to the hercules transport aircraft, except it has some major differences. Using an Aerospike engine, this aircraft is able to actually enter space. Using its additional engines in space, it is able to fly at INCREDIBLE speeds, getting to a destination within hours. If I have a few thousand of them, I am able to transport a few million troops in a matter of hours. Once the Transtar is over the drop area, it drifts back into the atmosphere. Once inside the atmosphere, the troops or equipment are dropped. Once its payload is dropped, it activates the Aerospike engine, and goes back to base in Space.

Note that this uses technology developed in the 60s and 70s so its not future tech. Actually, a fighter was created that could do this, but the project was cancelled due to a lack of funding ;)

Daren Cronel stared out the window of his small apartment in Panooly City, and swore. Outside, a group of AU and HP troops were stuck in heavy fighter. And he, director of FPS Intelligence operations in the area, was stuck in the middle. If anyone entered this building, the files they would find here could jepordize everything he and his fellow agents had been setting up over the past ten years.

Walking back across the room, he pulled a 9mm pistol, and put it on top of the table next to the hole in the wall where he was loading files. With any hope, he would be able to get anything that could harm his intelligence network hidden before anyone entered the building.

The 14 B2 bombers took off, heading to the Sarzonian fleet. They should be there in 5 hours. Furthermore, our new Lich class submarines are going to take them all out after the EMP bombs have done their job. All Lich class subs have EMP protection. Expensive but it's worth it.

AU: time to repost your strategy. We have high range 2000 KM/1242 miles, medium range 1500 KM/930 miles and low range 1000 KM/620 miles AA missiles. We also have Over the horizon radar and Celldar to track intruders. Not to mention all our spy satellites and All-purpose Weapon Platforms (APWP) in space.

Our capital is surrounded by swamps, AP and AT minefields and is enclosed by a 12 meter high concrete wall guarded 24/7.

Bad for you if you don't like it. You expected there wasn't any defence around the capital. You should have thought about this earlier.

FPS: our intelligence networks are stand-alone server computers. They're not connected to the internet. Only carnivore (our system which filters out all important traffic to and from nations on our special list) is connected to the internet but not with our intelligence servers.

Commodore Patinkin was continuing to search the source of the HP President's transmission when he heard a shrill "Sir!"

"What is it, ensign?" Patinkin growled with annoyance, "Don't you see I'm--"

"Holy Panooly has launched a fleet of bombers toward the fleet!"

"That doesn't surprise me, ensign. Launch a fleet to intercept. Ready anti-aircraft batteries and lock on when you can."

"Sir! A fleet of submarines is also on an intercept course with the fleet."

"Notify our attack submarines to intercept. The Alfa IIs should be fast enough to get there and cause a little havoc with them."

"Aye sir."

"Lieutenant, any word on the location of that transmission?"

"Negative sir. They've shielded themselves pretty well."

"Damn." The commodore's thoughts were interrupted by the whoosh of several fighter jets streaking toward the skies to intercept the bombers.

Meanwhile, the anti-aircraft destroyers readied themselves for missile launches from Holy Panooly's bombers.

"As soon as you have them in range," Captain Will Davis told his gunnery officers aboard the Rampage, "open fire."

Ahem... B2 bombers are invisible to known naval radars.

OOC: Holy, spies don't necesarily just hack computers for pure intelligence stuff. Those spies I didn't evacuate with my embassy staff really just report on the general nature of things in the capital city, and in other cities. They really just talk to normal people and such, and then report no what's going on. They were the first ones to report to me the fact that you were arresting foreigners randomly, and also can let me in on your capital cities defenses. That's about it.

Ah I see, well then do what you want to do then. Carnivore will track it down for me if it goes via internet.

IH Troops moved into position to protect the city, sniper teams armed with Steyr Scout Tactical and l Mechem NTW-20 sniper rifles, and taking themselves to roof tops, while IH ground forces setup booby traps for appoarching tanks. IH armour teams armed with the Eryx SRAAW also set themselves up in choke points for passing tanks.

'Sir, I think we should help get the HP leader out of the country, it's too dangerous for him to stay in the city, a neighbouring country will be more suitable for him' The Lieutenant advised.

'Very well, I want you to take a team and help escort the HP leaders to another country, GaalSien may do, seeing as they are the closet bordering country to the city, if you do make it, don't make the GaalSien authorities aware of the situation - they could be pressured into handing the leaders over' The General replied.

OOC: Not to mention, HP, my nation is, overall, pretty sure you at least know about the intelligence network, if you haven't already got a list of it's members. But, seeing as it's never taken any action against you (excepting sending home news breifs the FPSIA hears on CNN anyway), I doubt your spending much resources working to get them...

When the AU transtars were tracked by one of the many radar systems all missile batteries were called to shoot high range missiles at them.
When General Yarsson looked at the Celldar radarscreen lots of green dots began to dissapear.

Outstanding work Sargeant. Keep it up. When those bastards land, shoot them with the 50mm AA and low range AA missiles. That'll make them think twice of their invasion.

In the northweat the Lich class subs and the B2 bombers began to see the Sarzonian navy in front of them. When the B2 bombers were above the targets EMP bombs were released.

After 2 hours of bombings the Lich subs came in and started shooting torpedoes at the doomed vessels.

In a top secret meeting, several high ranked HP officials were talking about what to do in the next months. The total number of foreigners removed now reached the 12 million mark and questions were being asked, has our society improved? Most of these answers were yes but it wasn't asked to the people in the cities only the ones working for the government. It was time to start another cleansing. After most religious parties were destroyed the government started yet another campaign. This time jehovah's witnesses and other groups related to christianity, islam, buddhism and taoism. were the prime targets. This is from the Presidents speech about this issue:

The combined FPS amphibious/carrier task force immediatly made way for the Sarzonian fleet. Although they will not militarily help the fleet, they will help pick up surivors of any sunk or damaged ships.

Now we just have to wait until Sarzonia posts his losses and where's Axis Nova? I haven't seen him around in quite some time...

My standard practice is to have a fleet of planes escorting my navy at all times, so you would be spotted at some point. Besides that, we've also got subs on the prowl, so you're hardly going to shock us and you're not going to destroy a fleet that's in excess of 100 ships.]

Once the bombers neared range, Sarzonian jets hurriedly launched into the air on an intercept course and anti-aircraft destroyers fired their barrage. The Alfa II class submarines launched rounds of torpedoes at the subs.

However, Sarzonian efforts were too late to prevent three destroyers, including the fabled Rampage from getting hit by the bombs. Two more destroyers sank to the depths from the submarines' attacks, while other Sarzonian subs quickly launched their payloads at the attacking submarines.

"What's going on?" Patinkin yelled.

"We're under attack!" a lieutenant said.

"Report!"

"We just lost five of our destroyers and two of our frigates suffered damage... sir, some of the crew aboard the two frigates got infected with smallpox!"

"Biological weapons!" Patinkin said. "I knew they were going to do something!"

Just then, an explosion sounded just off the starboard bow.

"That was the Truxtun! Report!"

"Damage reports coming in from all over their ship. They're taking water."

"Is it salvagable?"

"Unknown."

"Contact their captain."

"Sir, their communications grid is offline."

Patinkin thought for a moment if he should order the Truxtun's crew to abandon ship from Vengeance. It was against standard protocol for him to meddle in another captain's affairs and he didn't want to appear to be stepping on the toes of a dear friend and his soon to be wife, which Captain Kathy Barnett of the Truxtun was. Still, he had to think of the welfare of his entire fleet, and he was about to order a fleet wide intercom system to send a message to the stricken vessel. Just then, his thoughts became mute as a gigantic explosion completely overwhelmed the ship.

"Sir, the Truxtun just went down with all hands."

Patinkin felt a lump in his throat. He was supposed to marry Barnett in a week, but their plans were put on hold when the war started. Finally, a shaken Patinkin started feeling an overwhelming rage.

"Send a message to the Holy Panooly high command," Patinkin said.

"Sir?"

"DO IT!"

"Aye, sir."

The channel opened.

"This is Commodore Marcus Patinkin of the Incorporated Sarzonian Navy. Nice try, but you're going to have to do a lot more than that to destroy our fleet. There's plenty more where that came from.

The attack on that city was an unfortunate accident. When we hit our next target, it won't be an accident. We've got ships all over the place in the waters around your country. Surrender at once or we will be forced to retaliate. End transmission."

The channel closed.

"Report on the attackers?"

"We've been able to force them to retreat. We shot down about eight of their bombers. There were 14."

"The subs?"

"A report just came in from the Agosto. We lost six of our attack submarines, including all the Alfa IIs, but we were able to fight them off."

"Six down, 10 to go," Patinkin said. "Contact our ballistic missile submarines and order them to target Panooly City. Prepare a round of attack fighters and a bombardment. But make sure you hit an enemy city this time," Patinkin said.

"Got it," the lieutenant said, trying to sound calm though his heart was caught in his throat.

"We have reports of three new battleships that have just arrived in positions in the south. Shall I order them to fire?"

Patinkin sighed. He didn't want to act purely out of rage, but it was time for Sarzonia to respond to their enemy's latest attacks.

"You may," Patinkin said. "Helmsman, order the fleet to move from its position to the following coordinates [OOC: The coordinates were on a piece of paper, but it will be toward the south.] Prepare an amphibious assault team to begin an invasion. Launch a series of bombers and see if we can cut down some of those jungles."

"Aye sir."

The FPS fleet banked off it's approach upon realizing that not enough Sarzonian ships had gone down for there to be a need for assistance. More ships would probably just cause more confusion. FPS is remaining nuetral at this time.

However, FPS is furious at the usage of chemical and biological weapons against the Sarzonian fleet, and requests that no further weapons of mass destruction are used. Especially against civilians.

Sorry Sarzonia I only used EMP bombs not chemical weapons. Why am I godmodding? I clearly said the B2's started to bomb your ships. I never posted any of your damage.
EMP's have a vast range so it's quite possible we can disable your whole fleet add to that, my Lich class attacks submarines and ships from beneath not horizontal. How could you launch yetfighters when EMP's were dropped on carriers?

Post your damage Sarzonia, I've lost 3 B2 Bombers and of my 20 Lich Class subs 5 were lost.

General Yarsson's report to the President:

As expected, the Sarzonian navy isn't destroyed. If you allow me, I can send in another bomb squad to eliminate the rest of the navy. I have 20 B2's, 20 F117's and 5 B52's ready and loaded with BLU-114B bombs. Furthermore, another 10 AC-130U airplanes for defence.

High above the ground, in the earth's upper atmosphere, the Transtar runs continued. On board one of them, the pilot watched his sensors as troops were being dropped out the back.

Seems like the Panoolies are trying to counter us he thought to himself Bah, missiles? They should know better than that!

Reaching over his console, he pressed a button, broadcasting the EMP shield around the Transtar. Now the missiles would render useless, unless the missile was able to make direct contact with the Transtar helm. That was unlikely as the Transtar was moving at some 8000km/hr at the time, having just re-entered the atmosphere.

As extra precaution, the Pilot was ready to deploy the flares as countermeasure, but only if a missile had locked onto him.

OOC: And yes this is all true information Holy Panooly, so effectively your missiles are near useless against it. Losses of Transtar: 12

Gary was ready to make the jump. The Transtar had been known as especially dangerous to jump from, however he had recieved his special training, which was now a part of the regular training package

His jump master opened the back, instantly, he could see how fast they were travelling. Timing was critical.
"1, 2, 3, JUMP!", yelled his jump master through the radio.

Quickly, as simulated before, he ran along the rails and jumped from the Transtar, his comerades jumping with him. Assimilating the freefall position, he made himself ridged, and pointed himself directly towards Panooly City. Below, he could barely see the flashes of anti-aircraft fire, not yet reaching his height. As he freefell for several minutes, Gary checked his watch. The next phase of the jump was nearing.

Right on the mark, Gary assumed his next position. Checking his altitude height, he could see that it was rendering successful. Gary was slowing down, but he had a while to go yet. Below, he could now clearly see the buildings below. It seemed as if the Pannolyians were shooting anti-aircraft missiles. Those foolish Panoolyians...why dont they ever learn? he wondered to himself. Still, he was not low enough for them to affect him, not yet anyway.

Looking around him, Gary could see the magnitude of the operation. Austarian littered the air below, above, and around him. Seeing that only made Gary more confident about the anti-aircraft fire. They had been running jumps for a few hours now, and surely that Panoolians would be running clean out of ammo very soon. There was no way they could destroy such a massive amount of targets.

Checking his altimeter once more, he smiled as he comfortably assumed his final position. He didnt have far to go now. Funny, he wondered to himself, that the commanders in Panooly City would order such a rediculous defense. There was NO way they could possibly do this for more than a few hours without exhausting their supply.

As he continued to near his destination, he checked his altimeter. Pulling the cord, his chute opened successfully. He was now calm, and clear in mind. With such confidence, he was sure he could win the war singlehandedly. Especially with such pathetic tactics on behalf of the other side...

Lost in thought, he was rudely disturbed by a mini-missile roaring past. Smiling, he wondered how they had expected it to be able to target on any specific man. No man gave the heat signature of an aircraft, which was what the missile was designed for. Occasionally, as he looked around, he could see that the occasional missile actually hit someone, exploding. It was sad, but nevertheless, the invasion was being successful so far. As he got lower and lower, he could hear the firing of the occasional 50mm.

Once again, he smiled, knowing that the Panoolyans must be desperate to be wasting them like they were. Yes, there were some results as to the firing of them. Around him, he watched as the buildings drew closer, and he surpassed the rooftops. Some, were landing on the roofs of the buildings, and had already begun their campaign. Greg could see the street below him, and watched as civillians began to scatter. A Panooly Platoon could be seen below, watching the invasion unfold. Taking out his gun as he grew closer to the ground, he began to fire on the Platoon from above.

Reacting, the Platoon attempted to fire back, but having the advantage of being above them at the time, he was met with little resistance. By the time he touched the ground, the Platoon had either been killed or had dispersed. Standing, his parachute fell back behind him, and he unclipped it. Around him, other Austarians were already doing the same. Joining a with his Platoon, there was one member missing. Nevertheless, the invasion had begun, and Greg's Platoon were already firing upon any authoritys such as the government offices, or any military positions.

OOC: HP, im surprised that you didnt use the weapons for what they had been designed for! Meaning, after considerations, they we'rnt very effective against what you wanted them to be. Nevertheless I will try to be extra fair, and I will up my losses of troops to 20 000. Even then, you should have run out of missiles and shells considering how you were using them.

Well then, let the slaughter begin.

Near the Presidential palace a large group of AU soldiers (300, 12 groups) was trying to find their way in to find the HP president and his henchmen.
They wanted to enter in hopes of finding evidence of the genocide, location of deathcamps and such. They didn't and awaited instructions from their superiours...

(OOC: I was outta town... and gack, I thought I asked Credonia to RP my forces for me while I was gone >_<... I'll get back on track in a few hours, I just need some sleep. Assume that this whole time, my troops have been holed up replacing lots and lots of circuit boards fried by that EMP =P)

Commodore Patinkin had a new idea. He realized that the fleet's maintaining position after its initial bombing was a mistake, so he ordered the fleet to set sail toward the south of Holy Panooly. He sent the message on a secret coded channel in verbiage designed to prevent the enemy from figuring out exactly where it was coming from.

He also ordered a set of spy planes and helicopters to launch to begin the reconnaisance missions into Holy Panooly territory.

"If you find a military installation or a major city, report to us what the coordinates are and get the fighter-bombers on bombing them right away, Patinkin told the commanding officer of air squadron. He ordered two separate squadrons into the air to monitor in the event Holy Panooly tried to send more bombers or submarines.

Patinkin turned around and headed for his command chair, beginning to process his grief over losing his fiance' on the Trxtun when his solemn reverie was interrupted.

"Sir, we just got word that two of the Leningrad-class heavy missile cruisers have arrived in position in the south, along with a series of support vessels."

"Splendid, lieutenant," Patinkin said with satisfaction. "Order them to target Panooly City with their missiles and fire when they have targets in sight."

"Aye sir. Commodore, the Potemkin is reporting it's already in range."

"What are you waiting for, tell him to fire!"

"Aye, sir."

The Potemkin shook ever so slightly from the force of the missiles as they launched with heavy conventional weapons toward their targets.

Two squadrons of fighters escorting bombers also launched in the direction of Holy Panooly, with the bombers ready to dump their own heavy conventional weapons upon Holy Panooly targets.

"Let's give 'em something to cry about," Patinkin said.

Commodore Patinkin was sitting down with several ship captains in the Vengeance situation room when the topic of Holy Panooly's new submarines came up.

"Let me get this straight, they fired their torpedoes vertically?" Patinkin asked.

"That's right. The way they were designed, it makes depth charging them next to impossible."

"What do you think we ought to do to try to minimize the damage they can do the next time they attack?"

"We can modify the torpedo bays in some of our Galaxy class subs and in the Jules Verne so that they can do the same thing. I'd suggest sending the Verne on a scouting mission and report back when they find more of that class."

"That sounds like a good idea," Patinkin said. "But I think we ought to send out more than just one sub. Reconfigure our underwater scans to detect that particular class and modify our subs and our general purpose destroyers so that they can detect and destroy those subs."

"We'll get right on it, sir."

Patinkin also got another idea.

He called the captain of the frigate Wembley George Manley, and told him to lead a team of corvettes and gunships into the major river leading to Panooly City. Their mission would be to bombard the area and allow an amphibious assault team of heavily-camoflagued solders to land to begin the land phase of the mission.

The ships that would be part of the river invasion were disguised to look like Holy Panooly's own ships and were set to fly Holy Panooly colors. Only a set of laser markings that registered a frequency on the Sarzonian fleet would distinguish them from actual Holy Panooly vessels and prevent friendly fire from ending the operation before it began.

"Shall we begin Operation Anaconda now?

"Make it so," Patinkin said. Manley chuckled slightly, he knew how much of a Star Trek fan Patinkin was.

The ships and boats began to set sail, armed to the teeth for the eventual gunfights they would be facing. The soldiers were already prepared with the camoflague, flash bangs, and sunglasses. They were also briefed on Holy Panooly's ability to dress up as civilians. Their orders were to capture any Holy Panoolian.

At military clock chimed the start of the next hour, the amphibious assault began and 250,000 troops, 500 tanks and 275 smerches started to land to begin their invasion of Holy Panooly.

Commodore Marcus Patinkin was about to contact his forces to find out status reports following the invasion plans he launched when he received a notice from the government in Woodstock.

"Holy Panooly's government has collapsed and they have closed down their death camps," the notice said. "As a result, the war is over for all intents and purposes. The government of Holy Panooly is currently in retreat. We believe that our allies in Axis Nova and the Austaur Union will bring them to justice."

Patinkin ordered his communications officer to notify all the Sarzonian forces and privately pumped his fist. Sarzonia's first war ended with a minimum of Sarzonian losses, although one of the losses was by far the most painful for him, so his reaction was somewhat muted. However, another communicade came in from Woodstock that further eroded any sense of elation.

"We have received a report that Wooley is selling slaves," the communication said. "You are being asked to dispatch with two aircraft carrier battle groups and three Pegasis-class battleships [OOC: They're equivalent to the Yamato-class battleships the Japanese had in WW2 with some modernization.] to Wooley to ensure that no human rights abuses occur there."

So much for shore leave, huh Patinkin thought to himself. The Federal and two other light aircraft carriers came in with their respective support ships to monitor the situation in Holy Panooly and ensure that any threats to Holy Panooly's unstable situation could be held off until the cavalry arrived. Also, Colonel Buckingham would lead a peacekeeping force of 75,000 troops that would remain in Holy Panooly.

The Vengeance and the ships that had been part of the Sarzonian war force and the ovewhelming majority of the planes and troops that were planned to invade Holy Panooly returned to the fleet and prepared to return to Sarzonia, while Patinkin went over to the Soverign to have that serve as his flagship for the new operation in Wooley.

Forces from the GaalSien light assault Platoons stormed the HP governmental buildings around the nation (all accept the South) . Arresting over 300 HP officials the HP authority had completely surrendured its government to GaalSien. With the northern cities brought under control, GaalSien had only the rebels to deal with.

'Sir, shall we contact the GaalSien Senate of our capture of the officials - they will know how to deal with them?' A private asked.

'No - the Senate has already informed me, a slap on the wrist will suffice. With our 'special alliance', the officials will still hold the power of state, Although they will stationed at The Rim - We will concentrate our efforts on bringing the South back to order The commanding officer replied.


The following, were 'captured' and will be transported to IH secondary bases before final travel to The Rim.
