Pauldustllah Begins talks with Phyrric

Onboard the IPDLS Sans, Diplomatic Courier Ship. (Basically a cruise liner.)
A young junior lieutenant knocked on the ambassador’s cabin door
"Enter the ambassador said."
"Sir the captian has instructed me to inform you that we have docked in Phyrric and your vehicle awaits you."
"Very well show me the way" the Ambassador said. They proceeded to get off the ship and walk to the car, as the Lieutenant opened the door for the ambassador he said
"Good luck sir we know you will make us proud." the ambassador looked up
"Thank you." he said "i will need it. He shut the door; the car then pulled out and headed into the city.
OOC: where should my ambassador go to meet with you? Is there a main government building of some sort?

"Excuse me sir, the ambassador from Pauldustllah has landed and currently enroute to the embassy."

"Great, give the embassy a call and prepare the conference room for their arrival. I will be ther shortly after their arrival after I get off the phone here. Tell the mess cooks to prepare a fine dinner and drinks."

"yes sir, we will give them full diplomatic courtesies."

On the phone.."Do what you can, main objective is a non-aggression, if we get more, great, if we get less, leave." Pyrrhus then hangs the phone up. "Prepare the limo please, we got to get over there."

OOC: Proceed to the embassy circle, main hall of the empire building. The embassy circle has been fully refurbished after the civil war. New buildings have been erected, repaved streets, looks as if nothing had ever happened other than the new construction.

"Driver take me to embassy square." the ambassador said looking at his watch "and step on it."
"yes sir!.' the driver said steping to the gas.
the ambassador looked out the window as they proceeded into embassy circle, he opened his briefcase and pulled out some notes he had made while onboard the ship. "base exchanges." he mumbled to himself, "non agression pact, trade agreements."
he was deep in thought when the car stoped by the main hall the door opened
"sir...sir!."
the ambassador looked up
"yes?"
"were here sir."
"Oh, right well show me the way." the ambassador put his note in his brief case and walked up the setps tword the great hall.

"The ambassador is undoubtedly awaiting us sir."

"Is our negotiator present?"

"He should be arriving shortly"

"Move all vehicles and perform a screen of the personnels attending. This is the first previous ally to step foot in Phyrric since these series of conflicts have risen. May they continue to be such."

"I will inform security of the orders"

"Inform my driver I will be out shortly"

In the Empire Building:

Ambassador Scott enters the room

"Follow me please."

They head into a room, the lights flicker as they are turned on, a yellow beam of light crosses the room from left to right, then from bottom to top. (security scan, Xray in nature, any chemicals or weapons would trigger an alert)

(presumption nothing was found)

"Have a seat. Is there anything you would like to drink?" Scott walks over to the bar next to the bookcase, pulls out a bottle of crown in its blue bag, enravels it, grabs a glass with a motion for a second.."well?"

In the room, there are 8 large red chairs, placed in a circlular formation as all can see eachother when one speaks, a glass table in the middle with a rose colored crystal chandeleir overhead that illuminates the room without electricity, the rays of the sun is reflected into the room and directed into the crystals.

OOC; no they don't have anything. The contents of the brief case are as follows: .lots of notes and paperwork a few of the ambassador’s pictures, a few cigars and a ceremonial knife.

"Brandy Please." the ambassador said heading over to the nearest chair he set his briefcase down next to it.
"Ambassador Scott, I am Ambassador Freeman representitive from Pauldustllah. I have been sent here by my government to discuss a wide variety of things that could strengthen the ties between our tow nations." he picked up his brief case and set it on the table, he then opened it and pulled out a ceremonial knife bearing the imperial Seal of Pauldustllah, "please accept this as a token of good will from my Emperor to your head of state.

Ambassador pours a stiff Brandy, then turns to Ambassador Freeman and hands it to him. "The blade is an extremely generous offer, Pyrrhus will be here shortly to receive it if you care to offer it then."

"Our Nations have been on terms of friendship for a very long time and there is no need to end it now. Yes Phyrric is at war with many of her former allies, and it is regretful that it must end this way, in a way of mistrust, treachery, deceipt, and war. But all things come to an end."

Motioning to the seats in the center of the room and proceeds slowly in that direction.

"War was planned with Phyrric since her departure from the Alliance, this much we know very well and why our forces are willing and able to give all they can. Phyrric has done nothing but assist and aid all her allies in a time of need, and what did we get in return? Other Nations desiring our land, planning on taking it behind our backs, and then a total denial of this."

Next to one of the red chairs, places his drink down on the table in the center.

"I think we can speak frankly here to eachother, there is nothing to hide and we are indeed old friends, are we not?"

Ambassador Scott offers his hand to Freeman.

OOC: If Pauldustllah desires and welcomes, other members of UnAPS, past or present may be present except: Mintar, Scandavian States, Edolia, and Agrigento. All likelihood, their ambassadors would be taken into custody upon arrival pending explanation of presence and trial.

OOC; I have no problem with other nations attending the negations.
Ambassador Freeman shakes Scott's hand
"Yes, yes we are." Freeman said taking a drink from the glass that Scott handed to him. "We in Pauldustllah see no reason to end the friendship between our two nations that is why i am here. Shall we sit?"
Setting his glass down on the table, Shall we talk business now or shall we wait until everyone arrives?"

"We should start the business now, if others arrive, issues and grievances can be addressed at thiat time. For now, we can focus on issues that are relevent between Phyrric and Pauldustllah."

Scott takes a seat at the table, sips from his drink one more time. "What issues do you bring forth today that we can address?" Opens a laptop, hooks up a microphone to it and types in a few headline notes.

The doors open, Pyrrhus steps in, motions toward the Ambassador from Pauldustllah. "Ambassador Scott, how good it is to see you again. Is everything in order and ready to proceed?"

Ambassador Scott stands back up, "yes, we are ready to go. Other members have been invited to attend, but no one has acknowledged the invitaion or arrived at this time."

"That is perfectly ok, if they do not desire the peace talks here as Pauldustllah has generously accepted" turns to the Ambassador from Pauldustllah, "then that demonstrates intentions and rationale. May I have the pleasure of your name?" Offers a hand to the Ambassador from Pauldustllah.

I'm just tagging this now. I'd send a representative, except I'll be busy with APs next week and I won't have much time to RP (or anything much else).

This has been an OOC post.

Lietuveska will strongly consider sending a representative. However, the cease-fire must be reinstated before any Lietuv citizen is to be sent into Phyrrican territory.

Also be warned that if we do decide to send a representative, any harm done to him or her will have massive consequences.

OOC: If you are going to send one in the interest in peace, then post as such. There are some on the list that would be taken into custody, you are not one of them, so do not worry about that.

Ambassador Freeman shakes the hand of Phyrrus.
"Sir, I am Ambassador Freeman. I have been charged with representing Pauldustllah in its talks with Phyrric.It's an honor sir. Now with your permission i will continue."
Freeman opens his briefcase and pulls out some notes
"My government would like to negotiate a few agreements between our nations they are as follows. A Non Aggression pact, A trade agreement, Base exchanges, and maybe to possibility of cross training with our nations militaries. If there is anything the nations of Phyrric would like to add to that my government would be more than happy to negotiate."
Freeman looks at Phyrrus
"I also have a gift from my Emperor for you sir. A token of goodwill if you will." he picked up the knife and offered it to Phyrrus.

Pyrrhus accepts the knife, examines it, "excellent craftsmanship, it is an honor to accept such a gift."

"Lets have a seat and discuss these issue more in detail. Mr Scott, can you please have the building staff provide us with a bartender, this is going to be a long day I do believe, and besides, lets forget about the world right now and focus on what is happening in this room right now."

Ambassador Scott leaves the room briefly, out comes a man and attends the liquor cabinet.

"I will take a 7 and 7 please" Pyrrhus speaks to the bar, "anyone need a refill?" he pauses briefly and the bar tends to their requests.

"Lets address the non-agression pact a tad later shall we? When the Nation of Phyrric trades with Nations, we do not partake in tariffs or unnecessary taxes, even with our enemies. It hampers business" as he waves his hand in a gesture to demonstrate that he disinterested in talking on the subject of financial barriers, "the best trade to take is open trade, we both win in this situation, we purchase from eachother, sell or improve our products abroad to other, less fortunate nations, but nevertheless, they still have to pay. There is enough profit in this world to go around, there is no need for trade barriers is there?"

Pyrrhus places his drink on the table after receiving it from the tray with the other drinks. "Phyrric offers trade routes, unconditional without tariffs, fees, or costs to Pauldustllah in exchange for unbiased and equal treatment. Is this acceptable to Pauldustllah?"

He picks up his drink and takes a sip, looking at Mr Freeman, awaiting an instant reply.

"Before you answer, we are aware of you allegiance to fellow past allies we used to share. Business is business, this is not war we are concerned with at this very offer. If materials make their way back to your allies, there will be no grudges or complaints, and be advised, some materials that are traded to Phyrric will be used to kill some of those allies. I want you to be clear on this. Business is not war."

Pyrrhus leans back in his chair, places his hands together in thought, clearly awaiting a reply now.

OOC: Pyrrhus is a formal title in itself. There is no need for sub titles or honorable names. It is not a name, it is a title of leadership stemming back to Antiquity. It is the name for the national leader. Addressing Pyrrhus as such is same as addressing President, nothing more.

"As you have said Phyrrus, Business is not war." Freeman sat down "Trade routes that are free from tariffs and other things that hamper a free market are very hard to come by. It is more than acceptable to us, we shall open trade routes Pauldustllah, as well as our colony. no tarrifs or fees shall be levied on all products from the nation of Phyrric." Ambassador freeman made note of this in his notepad.
"To put your mind at ease on the matter, once money exchanges hands, the matierals you speak of our no longer Pauldustllah's concern, use them as you see fit." freeman said looking up at Phyrrus
"So do we have an agreement?"
OOC: Oh, ok. I just wanted to make sure.

"Then we are in agreement for the trade terms." Pyrrhus looks at Scott as he is writing up the terms for treaty ratification within the Senate.

"Now, onto the subject of Base exchanges. We, the Nation of Phyrric do find this to be a generous offer as Pauldustllah has been and continues to support the Nation of Phyrric in their war efforts to date. We do understand that your Nation has been receiving alot of heat over this, would I be wrong in this statement? If this is indeed the case, we will cease the operations in the Pauldustllah Outpost, as much as it is needed. Phyrric has no intentions of carrying this conflict into a spillover status and understands the treaty obligations of Pauldustllah within UnAPS." Pyrrhus laughs, "F**k, I wrote some of those laws that they now follow. I, as former Secretary of War for the entire Alliance, know some of those laws better than many of the lapdogs that still reside within its charter."

He takes another drink, grabs an ice cube and chomps on it.

"Anyways, here are the terms for the bases, this is negogiable if Pauldustllah wishes different. We offer the trade of five (5) bases within eachothers Nations. Military personnel are not to exceed a gross amount of 5000 souls for either side. Military equipment is not to exceed 1.2 million gross tons, this does not include munitions or fuels. No weapons of mass destruction are to eneter or be stored at any such bases. The very reason we set this quota for both of us is to set a beginning standard until many of the issues between Phyrric and UnAPS is settled."

Pyrrhus takes another drink, motions that his glass is empty and requires a refill.

Ambassador Scott opens a map of Phyrric on the table and points out to Freeman, "The land that Phyrric offers is here on the island of Crete, here on the island of Thelas, here on the island of Lesbos, here on the island of Sicily, and here in the northern province of Dacia. All these locations are suitable for transportation, communication, major metro areas, exercises, defense, and public relations. The nation of Pauldustllah will have sovereignty within the marked off areas, but it is expected that relations, if there are any civic issues, will be handled accordingly and without prejustice. Phyrric expects the same in return." Ambassador Scott sits back down.

The Feline government offers to serve as a mediator in these negotiations.

OOC: Hotmail message? Wonder whay went wrong? Anyways, a mediator is not what is needed here. Pauldustllah appears to be one of the few civilized nations that remain in UnAPS and they are seeking a seperate peace with Phyrric...on their own accord as it clearly shows, and from the feel of things, against UnAPS desires. If you care to join in, you are welcome to do so.
