To help nations with small budgets or those that have been established within the last few years, the USSNSR's weapons manufacturer, Lightning Stryke Industries has modified and basically reinvented the Soviet-era Mikoyan-Guervich MiG-21 into a cheap yet useful ground attack aircraft.

LSAM-21 Fishbed MkII

Using the airframe of the aging MiG-21, LSI has upgraded the Soviet-era aircraft into a cheap yet versatile ground attack tool. Meant to be sold to the nation looking for the best bang for the buck, the Fishbed MkII has had a number of external and internal modifications. Externally the body has been extended, giving this aircraft the nickname of Long Neck by those who have worked on it, and increased wing surface to give an increase in range and weapons held. Internally, among simple updates in avionics, the engine has been replaced with a more fuel-efficient, powerful engine. The cockpit's been redone, giving a backseat for a weapons officer. The pilot's section is now lined with a number of pannels connected to cameras and sensors to help with observability around him. Retaining a number of gauges, a trio of LCD screens have also been added. The back seater, unlike the foward counterpart, has a number of LCDs, touch-screen input capable. Systems and software in general have also been updated, allowing the aircraft to make use of modern day weaponry. Overall, this aircraft is meant for the nation with a small budget, or one looking for a cheap, yet efficient ground attack aircraft.

I would like to purchase 500 of these. By the way, it may be able to out gun a Wild Weasel but not out fly.

Communist Louisiana, that will be 6,000,000,000.

(And outgun a wild weasel but not outfly? It depends on 2 things, the enemy aircraft, and the enemy aircraft's pilot. The pilot is what makes the major difference, for instance take Vietnam and the Phantom/Fishbed battles)

(Also, for anyone else wishing to purchase, please do your own math)

The Empire of Roycelandia would be most interested in purchasing 250 MiG-21 Fishbeds from you- our current Ground Attack aircraft (The IAe Spitfire and the IAe Harrier Jump Jet) are a little too conspicuous for some of the missions we engage in, whereas a MiG-21 could belong to almost anyone... We'll take all the extras on 100 of them, too...

As soon as acceptance is confirmed, we shall wire you the appropriate funds...

Roycelandia, the total comes to 3,105,000,000. The order is confirmed.

Comrade NSR, several months ago, the ANL also launched it's own MiG varient. Then called the MiG21-EW, it is now called the AZ-21 EW (Eagle Warrior) and is the mainstay of our air power.

If you are interested in looking at the specs,

Not a bad little aircraft, seems more upgraded all around, compared to the LSI version, which is devoting more to attack.

(Are you trying to advertise in my topic now? >_> I also plan on doing an upgrade of the ol' Binder. It's in the works as we speak actually.)

OOC: Actually, I don't take any more orders, so I am not trying to advertize. I just wanted to show you it.

(I kind of figured that, more was joking. Like I said, not a bad little spin on the Fishbed. Though, whatcha think of my little tweak?)

The money has been wired from the Reserve Bank of Roycelandia to the Soviet-nominated account. We look forward to doing business with you again... :D

The planes will be on their way within a matter of hours. We too look foward to future business.

Your varient would be quite formidible in battle and tactical situations. While it may not be the most powerful plane, it certainly demands and earns respect. The major difference in our two crafts is the EW is more well rounded in terms of engines, weapons, armor and computers, while yours is more focused on weaponry. We applaud our comrades for their self sufficent nature and this advancement of a Soviet areonautical icon.

We feel an aircraft for such a role as this should be as simple yet versatile as possible. This aircraft though will most likely continue to be updated as seen fit.

We would also like to know that, within some point of our relationship, ANL would be willing to join with USSNSR and Lightning Styrke Industries in updating and modifying other aircraft typical of Soviet airforces and/or possibly engineers of the two countries uniting to design a totally new aircraft.

Such a agreement seems benefical to both of our people. We are interested by this proposal and are serriously considering it. If you wish, represenatives from Lightning Styrke Industries will meet with both ANL government officals and our company, Devonshire Avionics.

Due to a current project, we suggest ANL send representatives instead, allowing these personnel not only the ability to meet with government officials and officials of LSI, but also witness testing of aircraft, including an update to the Tu22 Binder which may be of interest to ANL.

Understood. We will assymble a team and dispatch them right away.
