***Guerrillistani news flash***

Reports are coming in of the hijacking of a Guerrillistani Missile Cruiser the Grundag.
Early reports state GLA involvement.
The Grundag was on live fire exercises in the pacific ocean when contact was lost almost a week ago. Three sailors escaped overboard and reports of their escape and news of the hijacking have only just surfaced.

Guerrillistan would like to announce this hijacking as we belive evil forces may use the weapons on board, which include 32 test cruise missiles. The Guerrillistani fleet are currently engaging on a search and destroy mission and we warn all that the ship could be anywhere.

The Republic of Ozymandias IV is willing to assist in your search for the hijacked ship.

The last location sent was 18 miles SSE of Fiji, South Pacific.
However due to the fact it was hijacked a week ago and we only found out yesterday it could be anywhere.
We are worried the prototype weapons will be fired.

We have the **146th Naval Squadron in the area and will be transfering a Blue Sheep Naval SF sabre to the squadron. If Guerrillistan wishes, an attempt to retake the ship can be ordered.

If you locate the ship we request you tell us before any action is taken. However the Grundag will most have likely long gone from the area.

The 146th is highly capable to tracking ships without being detected. We would like the know the specifications of the Grundag and especially its radar and sonar systems.

In light of these revelations, Raginsheep's governement demands that Guerrillistan's governement reveal what exactally the ship was doing and all other information.

Once we confirm where the missiles are launched from, dont doubt for a second that we will return missile fire (and yes even if you dont target us). Its time we get revenge.

In light of the new threat, All Credonian ABM systems (we have multiple systems both land and space based) will be brought on full alert and will be used should those missile start heading towards Credonia

Thing is Cred, cruise missiles are much harder to target than a large ballistic missile.

The Jeruselem navy is on fully alert for this ship and ABM systems (SkyWatch) are activated on highest level. We reserve the right to destroy the ship if missiles are fired at us.

Kelonia seconds Raginsheep's demand that Guerrilistan tell the world precisely what they were doing with the vessel, so that we might be better equipped to deal with the threats it poses.

We also suggest they keep their secret test research vessels slightly more secure in future, to avoid this happening again.

at 30knots we are look at a search rnage roughly 10,000nm in diameter...

But then again soem people do make a point of watching all of certain peoples fleet movements and will almost certainly have kept watch on a waward criuser...

IC: we could provide satalite coverage if you really want it but for once we'll just be obnoxius and say "we know where it is nah ne nah ne nahnah".

yep...my ABM system also uses AA's and Patriots to hit the smaller missiles such as cruise missiles. Credonia is covered ffrom the ground into space from missile attacks (or any other kind of attack for that matter)

We need to find that ship and Guerrilistan, what type of chemicals is it carrying?

Any attempted attack on our vessel and we will kill all 145 crew as well as fire all our prototype missiles at civilian targets. Again you have 24 hours to release Miko Thrak and then we will begin proper negotiations."

The ships of Task Force Retribution sailed due east through the night, the moonlight in their wakes looking like aircraft contrails as the fleet sailed toward the south Pacific in hopes of screening the Republic's eastern shore and intercepting the rogue vessel at the same time.

A combat air patrol of three groups of two AV-8B Harriers each flew ahead and to the flanks of the task force looking for the Guerrillistan ship.

In the bridge of the Republic Captain Ther VII ordered all ships to stand to general quarters in preparation for action.

"I don't know where or when we'll find them," he told his executive officer. "But by the gods I want to be ready when we do. I don't want to give them any chance..."

The ambassador met with representatives of the Guerrillistan government to make clear the Republic's intent to stop the rogue ship.

"Our task force commander has been authorized to use any and all force necessary," the career diplomat said nervously. "If the hijackers do not respond, he is authorized to sink the ship before the threatened missile launch can occur."

"The deadline is up, Miko Thrak has not been released, we will launch two missiles at the UN mission in Garaxacal, South Mexico."

Onboard the Grundag the crew jumped to action stations, Guerrillistani crew were being forced at gunpoint however the command office was under full GLA control.
The Grundag had been totally repainted to resemble a Brazilian Coast Guard Vessel.

Firing codes were ready and the targets set. The cruise missiles tore into the night sky, crew watched as the tiny specks of flame disappeared in the distance.

The Grundag then turned and headed north, two armed GLA trawlers flanking her.

In breaking news, the Raginsheepian government has just confirmed the launch of two cruise missiles at the UN facility located in Garaxacal, South Mexico. Early reports have indicated that the missiles were carrying experimental chemical agents believed to be an advanced form of VX Nerve Gas. Over 500 people in and around the facility were killed instantly with over 1500 injured including two school buses full of children. The chemical agent has prevented any emergency units from reaching the bomb site. Both the Raginsheepian and Mexican has condemned the attacks and have vowed revenge on those involved.

Over Mexico, one of Raginsheep's satalites picks up the launch of two cruise missiles. It is diverted from its original path and ordered to continuelessly track the ship. It also notes the presence of two other undentified vessels.

IC:The Grundag supported by armed trawlers makes its way towards South Pacific to its secret island base to unload the Guerrillistani crew and take on provisions. 5 prototype cruise missiles are unloaded each onto the trawlers. The Grundag now has 20 cruise missiles on board.

The Grundag continues to Isle Nuievatu, a small GLA base, hidden in the South Pacific. At Isle Nuievatu are stationed 8 other GLA trawlers, with the arrival of the Grundag the missiles are unloaded onto the trawlers who all head of in seperate directions to the main GLA base at ************.

The Grundag unloads the hostage crew on the island and the ship drops its anchor. GLA engineers set to work on the ship.

Task Force Retribution continues to steam forward in hopes to intercepting the rogue ship.

News reports that the attack took place along the coast of Mexico did little to change the course of the Navy of the Republic ships. The ships spread out their line more to make the net a little wider, supported by the aircraft from the Republic.

"Signal to all ships that an attack has been made halfway around the world," Capt Ther VII ordered. "We'll continue round the clock watches in the hopes that they run toward our line..."

Meanwhile the Grundag is left deserted in the lagoon of Isle Nuievatu and the GLA base is deserted and burnt to the ground. The Guerrillistani crew are taken to another secure secret location.

A criuse missile does actually have quiet a large IR flare on launch which would be very noticeable against the sea at night, now if only i could be bothered checking to see who actually claims mexico... i suppose that is soemthing you might have checked.

GLA sailors return to the Grundag situated in the lagoon surprised that it hasn't been discovered. The Grundag is re-crewed and sails of to another island base.
A trawler chugs alongside the containing an engineer crew. During the night the Grundags upper structure is completly changed, new masts, control decks and structures are put in place to resemble a research vessel, the ship is then repainted in merchant colours.

The Grundag with its new disguise reaches a hidden GLA island base where it is armed with 5 of the stolen Guerrillistani VX cruise missiles.
The Grundag, flanked on one side by an engineer trawler then heads off in the direction of Credonia.

However, unknown to the GLA, Raginsheep's Spec Ops had placed the ship under constant survalence(sp?) and began to follow the ship back to the GLA base.

The Grundag and trawler were surrounded by ocean, all around was nothing but sea. They had been passed several times by military and merchant vessels but had not been challenged.

In the control room of the Grundag coordinates for the missiles had been set, the disguised Grundag was heading towards International waters around Credonia.

"Captain Ther VII to RN Command, we have seen no sign of the missing Guerrillistani ship. We suspect location somewhere in the Pacific, but we lack the assets to conduct a total search. We have seen no sign of suspicious vessels within the Indian Ocean and are returning to port."
