Tank-
GT-1 Main Battle Tank (G stands for Gromilla, which is russian for brutal desctructive beast T stands for tank)
The GT-1 is a further development of the T-80UM5, featuring improvements in mobility, protection, armament, fire control, and a new navigation system (in the GT-1K command version).
The GT-1 armament includes an electro-thermal 135mm gun, stabilized in two axes and fitted with a thermal sleeve. It hits with the force of a 155mm gun, and can destroy an M1A2 at 4km with Free Rumanian quad-charged HEAT shells. The gun tube can be replaced without dismantling inside the turret. The gun can fire a variety of ammunition including APDS (Armour Piercing Discarding Sabot), HEAT (High Explosive Anti-Tank), HE-FRAG (High Explosive Fragmentation) as well as shrapnel projectiles with time fuses.
The 135mm gun can also fire the AT-17 Slicer anti-tank guided missile system. The range of the missile is 100 - 6,000 m and takes 14.7 sec to reach maximum range. The system is intended to engage tanks fitted with ERA (Explosive Reactive Armour) as well as low-flying air targets such as helicopters, at a range of up to 7 km. The missile system fires either the 9M119 or 9M119M missiles which have semi-automatic laser beamriding guidance and a hollow charge warhead. Missile weight is 28.4 kg. The guns 15 rpm automatic loader will feed both ordnance and missiles.
A 45mm 2A77 autocannon has been installed to allow quick engagement of other armored fighting vehicles. Ammunition load is 470 AP (Armour-Piercing) or HE rounds. Rate of fire is more than 300 rounds/min and range is 1,500 to 2,200m.
There are 12 Yastreb ATGM's towards the rear of the turret. Yastreb is a radar guided ATGM with a range of over 5km that easily penetrates the amror of the M1A2 or similar tanks with its 1300mm penetration.
Also fitted is a coaxial 7.62 mm PKT machine gun and a 12.7 mm air defense machine gun. A 5.45 mm A-91M assault rifle is carried on a storage rack.
Armor:
Protection of the GT-1 includes an outer layer of Montgomery titanium armor. The GT-1 tank is protected by the new Igolka Nonexplosive Reactive Armor (NERA) technology, with 2 layers frontally. NERA technology is an improvement over the previous Kaktus ERA technology, with the ability to be buried several layers deep in the armor. Also, when they "go off", they only use the reactive material in the immediate vicinity of the actual penetration rather than a whole "box". Finally, there is a layer of Tungsten.
The GT-1 is fitted with the Cerberus missile engagement system. This system includes infrared jammer, laser blinder, laser warning system with four laser warning receivers, grenade discharging system which produces an aerosol screen and a computerized control system.
It is also fitted with NBC (nuclear, biological and chemical) protection equipment.
The Bisonic Cerberus system also features the ARENA system, the first available DAS-system, was analysed by TNO-PML in collaboration with TNO-FEL. This systems detects an incoming anti-tank missile and reacts by throwing a cassette containing explosives and fragments towards the missile. Upon detonation of the cassette, the fragments interact with the missile, such that its effectiveness decreases substantially.
Both testings of the effectiveness of the fragments and computer simulation of the suite of events- detection, intercept and residual penetration capability- were performed. This resulted in an assessment of the increased survivability of the vehicle equipped with ARENA. The same analyses also gave an idea of the decrease of performance of the anti-tank missile.
The Arena system is switched on/off from the commander's control console. Once Arena is switched on, all subsequent operations are performed automatically. Apart from the basic automatic mode of operation, exceptionally, the commander can control the system manually, for example, when it is necessary to destroy obstacles or for close-in protection against infantry.
Arena provides protection for a moving or stationary tank in any weather and in any combat environment, irrespective of the angle of impact of the enemy's weapons. The data-processing radars and sights feature a high level of noise immunity. They do not respond to false and random signals, and come into action only in situations where there is a serious threat to the tank or when a weapon fired by the enemy is heading directly towards the tank.
It is also fitted with NBC (nuclear, biological and chemical) protection equipment.
Propulsion:
The G-1 has a 1440 hp turbocharged engine. This engine can be fuelled by T-2 or TS-1 kerosene and A-72 benzine, in addition to diesel. The tank can carry up to 1,600 litres of fuel in the main fuel tanks and fuel drums. The fuel tanks are reinforced with armor plating.
The tank is provided with a snorkel for deep fording and can ford 5 metres of water with equipment which can be deployed in 20 minutes.
The mechanical transmission includes primary reduction gear, two planetary final gearboxes and two planetary final drives. The running gear features torsion bar suspension with hydraulic shock absorbers at 1, 2 and 6 road wheel stations and tracks with rubber-metallic pin hinges.
Fire Control:
The GT-1 is fitted with the 1A5GT fire control system.
The 1A5GT fire control system includes:
- The gunner's 1A43 day fire control system
- A laser range finder
- The driver's TVN-5 infrared night viewer
- A second-generation television sight and automatic thermal target tracker
- An integrated operating system which includes advanced data communications and battle management
- Millimeter wave radar
- Infrared tracking system
The computer controlled fire control system includes line of sight stabilisation in two axes, a second-generation television sight and automatic thermal target tracker, a laser range finder, an improved thermal night vision system and a dynamic cant angle indicator. The commander's station is fitted with a stabilised panoramic day and night sight. The integrated operating system includes advanced data communications and battle management. Tadiran developed the G-1's communications system, the inter communication system and the VRC 120 vehicular transceiver radio with embedded auxiliary receivers.
Signature Reduction:
Protective systems for reduction of tank signatures are designed for reducing the range and probability of the tank detection by reconnaissance equipment and homing devices of high precision ammunitions.
Measures of making the tank less prone to be detected allow the following:
to reduce the tank thermal signature by 5-7 times;
to reduce the tank radar signature by 3-5 times;
to reduce the tank visual signature by 1.5 times
Navigation:
The GT-1 is fitted with the LIO-N navigation system.
The navigation system is included into the tank control system and serves to automate the fulfilment of interaction between tanks within a tank unit in order to command its manoeuvres. Installation of the LIO-N system in the tank ensures the following:
determining the tank's own coordinates with the help of two satellite systems: GPS NAVSTAR and GLONASS;
collecting (with the help of the standard radio set) information about the location of the subordinate tanks and displaying this information on the screen;
generating, transmitting, receiving and displaying the text information (the information is input with the help of a keyboard and is transmitted through a digital radio channel by using the standard radio set);
storing and processing the pre-determined routes;
providing the driver with information about the movement direction required in order to reach the next route check-point.
Technical characteristics:
accuracy (standard deviation) of determining the tank location coordinates when using the systems:
NAVSTAR - 40 m;
GLONASS - 30 m;
NAVSTAR/GLONASS - 20 m;
number of routes that can be pre-determined - up to 10;
number of check-points in each routes - up to 50;
collection of information about the location of subordinate tanks, transmission of the coordinates of destination points and text information are ensured in military units up to tank battalion level inclusively;
time of transmission and reception of information in the digital radio channel and the communications coverage distance are determined by the characteristics of the standard communications means (for R-173M radio set - within 1 sec at distances of up to 20 km);
accuracy of presenting the current time (with allowance for the time zone) - 1 sec;
readiness time:
at 'cold' start - within 180 sec;
at 'hot' start - within 15 sec;
built-in test systems are available

A GT-1 costs $7 mil, $6.5 mil for TGP, NCA, or TGB members.
Its hard to believe you can afford so many tanks, but we will offer it. We will sell you 15,000 LeClerc MBT's(With 5 full sets of ammunition for each tank as well as production plans for the ammunition) for $90,000,000,000($90 billion), and we can bring that down as far as $9b over ten years payment, or other plans can be made for prolongned payment.
Same deal, with AMX 10RC Light tanks, 5000 for $18.5 billion dollars.
Iron Blood

The GT-1 is vastly superior to the Leclerc, and the AMX-10RC isnt a light tank but a recce vehicle.
Here is a light tank for you
The Bisonic Defense Initiatives Agency (BDIA) has announced the development of the Sprut-SDM "self-proppeled fire support system" (read: tank). It is protected from 40mm rounds and is equipped with the Shtora-2 and ARENA coiuntermeasure systems. It can easily destroy an abrams at range, albeit the same is true vice versa. $3 mil each.
http://www.jedsite.info/fulltrack/bravo/bmd3_series/2s25/2s25_001.jpg
Nowadays, a trend has appeared in the development of world s armor materiel: to install powerful armament with highly effective sighting equipment on lightweight combat vehicles.
The Sprut-SDM complies with this trend. It is intended for use by subunits of ground forces, airborne troops and amphibious landing parties to fight hard-skinned materiel and manpower of the enemy.
The new gun can independently march over a distance of 500 km and be carried by military transport aircraft and amphibious ships, paradropped with the crew seated in the vehicle, negotiate water obstacles at sea state up to 3 with the delivery of gun fire when afloat within a sector of 35o and climb on amphibious ships from water under its own power during the accomplishment of a combat mission. Possessing a high power-to-weight ratio, it can operate in high mountains and various climates, while the installed rubber-clad shoes or snow-riding tracks expand the vehicle capabilities.
The main armament comprises the 135mm two-axis stabilized tank gun with automatic loader and the coaxial 7.62mm machine gun, it can kill leclerc from several km away with scramjet round or gun fired missile.
Sprut-SDM is armed with 8 Yastreb anti-armor missiles, carried towards the back of the turret.
The Yastreb is a new supersonic 6.5 km range missile which is guided to the target by millimeter wave radar. As it nears its target, it receives an update from the tank to ensure accuracy. It is capable of engaging tanks with the latest Kaktus ERA, as well as low flying targets such as helicopters, at ranges of up to 6,500 m. Penetration behind RHA is 1400mm.
The work stations of the gunner and commander are practically similar in terms of battlefield surveillance, aiming and fire delivery. The gunner s sighting equipment includes a night and a day sight with an electronic digital ballistic computer and a laser range finder whose field of view is stabilized in elevation. The commander s day/night sight with a two-axis stabilized laser range finder also serves as a tracker to guide a missile launched through the gun barrel.
Sprut-SDM is fitted with the Shtora-2 defensive aids suite. This system includes infrared jammer, laser jammer, laser warning system with four laser warning receivers, grenade discharging system which produces an aerosol screen and a computerised control system.
It is also fitted with NBC (nuclear, biological and chemical) protection equipment.
Sprut-SDM is fitted with ARENA.
The Bisonic ARENA system, the first available DAS-system, was analysed by TNO-PML in collaboration with TNO-FEL. This systems detects an incoming anti-tank missile and reacts by throwing a cassette containing explosives and fragments towards the missile. Upon detonation of the cassette, the fragments interact with the missile, such that its effectiveness decreases substantially.
Both laboratory testing of the effectiveness of the fragments and computer simulation of the suite of events- detection, intercept and residual penetration capability- were performed. This resulted in an assessment of the increased survivability of the vehicle equipped with ARENA. The same analyses also gave an idea of the decrease of performance of the anti-tank missile.
The self-propelled gun has an individual hydropneumatic suspension that ensures a high accuracy of fire and makes it possible to change the ground clearance by 400 mm within six to seven seconds from the driver s station, which decreases the possibility of vehicle detection, especially on broken country or in shelter. The design features embodied in the vehicle as well as its weight margin make it possible to modernize the gun by installing a thermal sight or introducing a thermal channel in the gunner s sight and to increase the swimming capability and armoring by mounting apron armor or other systems of protection from guided weapons.
Sprut-SDM is fitted with the 1A5GT fire control system.

The problem is it is rather slow (65 km/h), and the rifled gun is far less effective than a smoothbore 125mm gun. Also, the GT-1 has a 135mm gun.

yes I'll admit that but the Chobham armour is far superior and the C 3A
has a way smaller thermal signature, along with better night sights and a multi-fule engine.
it depends on what you like, powerful, fast tanks easily spotted at night,with rubish armour and having to run on a certain type of fule
OR... powerful,slow,heavily armoured tanks,hard to spot at night
able to run on almost any fule with more ammo onboard.
as for reverse gear, u wouldnt see what u

Chobham armor superior? Chobham is equal to Kontakt-5 ERA... which admittedly came into existance 5 years after chobham.
The GT-1 doesnt use russian armor, it uses german armor (the NxRA), british armor (the titanium), and well, tungsten, which is used by practically everyone.
The GT-1 has extensive insulation to reduce thermal signature, why dont you read my description first?
The GT-1 hardly has rubbish armor, in fact the challenger 3 couldnt penetrate it except at suicidal range. But the GT-1, could kill the Challenger 3 from 5 kilometers away.
The GT-1's armor is not by any means rubbish, get that into your head. Frontal armor would be soemwhere in the range of [equal to] 1600mm RHA. But chobham would only give yourself something like 900mm.

No, the heat signatures are even, if the GT-1's isnt smaller. Better sights? Nope, read the part about fire control. Armor superior? Hell no it isnt. Multi Fuel engine? Only good thing to come from this.

It's just the rest of his post has a lot of valid points, then he goes and puts that at the end - personally, if I scroll down and see CAPS, emoticon overload and exclamation marks, I'll just assume it's a flame and ignore it.

Crookfur

Well it can be difficult to argue with Bisons GT series but Crookfur can put forward a coupel of options.
First there is the heavy(insane) MBT option that takes the form of the T-7 Gilgamesh (http://www.meatballs.terminator.org.uk/crookfur/vehicles.html#gilga)
Then there is the lighter medium weight T-8 Grey Mamba (http://www.meatballs.terminator.org.uk/crookfur/vehicles.html#mamba)
which is notable for it's unusual 123mm ETC gun which operates at a higher tempreature and thus effective velocities and power than the majority of competeing ETC gun systems.
For a light tank we can offer the LBT Koshi (http://www.meatballs.terminator.org.uk/crookfur/vehicles.html#koshi) either in it's present form or upgraded to use a 103mm ETC gun.

Hardly anyone ignores my equipment (i.e., most people who ignore me, ignore me, but accept my equipment in others hands), and hardly anyone in II ignores me at all. Its the fantasy rpers and such who ignore me (i.e. the type of people who post 'OMFGZ MY UBERSHIP N00KZ J00 BUT I IGNORE N00KS J00 DED' just stretched out to 5 pages. Oh yeah and with the thought of every crewman added.).
Leclerc is far from the best, however for obvious reasons, it is one of the only tanks with reverse gears :lol:
OOC: You're a racist. I have always ignored you.
too right probably ex Nazi

Did u say RUSSIAN !!!!!!!!! :lol: :roll:
So your basicly selling rubish T-42's with a fancy name and fake stats !
:!: :!: :!: good luck :lol: :!: :!: :!: ha :!: :!: :!:
Ummm - those aren't pics of T-42s, they're T-84s - what'd you do, divide by two?
And there's nothing wrong with Russian hardware, I still use plenty of it in most departments of my army - the tradeoff of positives to negatives works well for me.
Also, not many people are going to take you seriously when you use *that* many emoticons in three lines - it does kinda undermine your credibility.
will cut down on emoticons but still he/she/it running iron blood is a right
smeg head ! if there tank had all the improvements they say, it wouldnt look like a t-84 would it, therefore it must be fake so dont buy from them

At least Im not a fedayeen-wannabe :roll: . Go get yourself blown up by the evil american zionists. Also, cheers to israel assasinating a couple more heroic liberation fighters! We all know Israeli buses are a major threat!
IC:
We recommend Crookfurs T-7, it has proved excellent in our service, and we operate over 10,000 of them. Though it is a bit more expensive.
If there is a contract for IFV's we will enter the Volk IFV, which makes the Iraqi tank-copy attempts look weak, much less their own BMP copy. The iraqi type 63 copy isnt really good at.anything. 85mm gun compared to 135mm gun, and generally much older, as the Sprut-SDM is based on... you got it, the Sprut, the PT-76's replacement (type 63 is a chinese pt-76 copy with 85mm gun)!

I see challenger is judging my tank by its pic, not by its specs. Oh well, T-84 is still better than challenger.
