I see the weapons, but see not the people...
>_>
<_<
And i'd think the Ak would cost more, the MiG17 less.
How much for the AKs?. Anyway, these are made out of cheap materials, the lowest quality for we cannot afford the high quality.
Could you please tell us how much a MiG-17 would cost? Also a MiG-21?.

A $1 million jet fighter? Get thee to Clan Smoke Jaguar 's aircraft thread, where he gives a rundown of the capacities such an aircraft might have.
A Mig-17 might run you closer to $10 million. (US F-4 costs $18 mil.)
And the AK should be at least $100.

Here*s CSJ*s aircraft thread: http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=138998&highlight=
Note I did not say the Mig 17 cost 10 million. I said it would be closer. Consider that the US equivilant is 18 million. About half that would be reasonable for soviet designs.

The agile MiG-17 is definitely not the counterpart to the huge F-4...okay; your AK-47s may be a bit much, but I don't think you're overdoing it that badly, except for production costs.
The MiG-17 was an improvement of the MiG-15, which was countered by the F-86 Sabre...which cost $180,000 in USD ... eh...'53.
In other words, you can do a lot better ;) Even if it means less than 300 aircraft.

I must say I cannot come up with prices for old MiGs. However , I won*t believe that a MiG 17 could be produced for $1 million at current prices (which the budget calcs are set for) . If you can find a price for a MiG 17 less than 10 million 2004 USD, please tell me. I really would like to be disproven here. :D
Thank you!
