And, trust me, there are countries more than twice my size.

You sure? If your country borders any sea, or you have problems with your entire population being laid waste by a variety of horrible nasty weapons including but not limited to various kinds of toxic gas/chemicals, incendiary shells, and bombs and shells that hurl small shards of metal that blind and tear apart respiratory passages, and then having ground forces come and pillage and slaughter what's left of your population, then you really don't want to. If that's not the case, then go right ahead.

I agree with Chellis, my nation has been around much longer than yours and has a population over 1 billion. My military isn't even that size.
