The Production of a secret project begins in the AU

In the Austar Union, industrial zones seemed to become much more active than usual. It was apparent that some sort of mass production had begun on something that the government refused to tell what it was.

Information had leeked out that some kind of a military vehicle had been designed and put into production, yet the government had refused to give any further information.

People speculate that it may be some kind of a new aircraft, but no details are certain. The government has however stated that such full scale production will continue on in Automated Production Lines for a total of seven years (1 RL week)...

As production continues throughout the nation, the government has announced further information on the project. It seems, as if a new military aircraft is being mass manufactured, apparently, to be used in the war against Allanea.

Dressed quite ordinarily, Mark Tribute flew into the Austar Union with the presumed name of James *Common Austar Union lastname*. He brought no high-tech gear, no special weapons. Nothing. he simply boarded a plane to Astar Union as a tourist, flying in indirectly from Fluffywuffy.

*assuming he is allowed in with a FW passport, attempting immigration*

Kindly showing his passport to the security personel, showing his luggage, allowing himself to be searched, and showing ID, James quickly set out to work. As part of the spy plan, he was to acquire Austar Union citizenship and simply try to get employed in an Austar factory, presumably one producing aircraft, snap some pictures, and then infiltrate Austar headquearters. No easy task, but 'James' felt up to it.

He set about the first task. Having pre-arranged an attempt to immigrate, James had some papers with him. Wasting no time, he got a hotel room, adgusted to the new time zone, and then brought his papers to Austar immigration services to begin the process.

*Renting a vhicle or driving a busm whichever is more economical in your nation*, James arives in the immigration services building. He hands the papers to the official. "Hello, sir/ma'am, I am seeking to immigrate to your fair nation, and heere are the papers I have acquired in the process, so far."

OOC: I'll assume he was able to get a travel visa and that he has no intentions AGAINST my government or populous. If he does, then there would be little chance he could be let through my security ;)

The official behind the counter took the papers, "Hmm, Mr Tribute, You will have to fill out the following forms. I hope you know that the application will take a few months to clear, and then we will get back to you."

The lady pushed some papers and a pen across the counter towards Mark.

OOC: Of course, he's going to not tell you he wants to spy on you; such tactics are not wise. EDIT- To be more clear, he isn't blowing stuff up. He's just a spy. He probably wont even kill anyone, except himself at great need.

IC:

Taking a look at the official, Tribute smiles, takes up the papers and pen, and says "I understand."

He quickly set out on the quest to finish the forms. The numerous forms, however, fought back. With such nonsensical, from our eyes, questions such as 'mother's maiden name' and 'fathers's middle name,' Mark was slowed down in his initial advance, but in the end he still finished the forms in his neat, flowing handwriting. He handed the official back the papers and pen.

"I have one question for you, sir/ma'am," he said casualy, "since I'm going to be staying here for awhile before I might achieve the status of citizen, am I allowed to find work, even at some resteraunt or factory?"

He had studied immigration laws in other nations, so he had thought that the answer would be a yes, if he stayed within the nation and was attempting citizenship, but he doubted the factories he would be able to work for would be the ones he needed.

OOC: Just for RP accuracy, what kind of visa does he have?

There are two main catagories in my country:

Tourist Visa
-1 Month
-3 Months
-6 Months
-12 Months
-24 Months
-48 Months

Working Visa
-1 Month
-3 Months
-6 Months
-12 Months
-24 Months
-48 Months

If he wants to work, he has to have the working visa. People on tourist visa arn't allowed to work. Hence working visas are more difficult to get a hold of.

he simply boarded a plane to Austar Union as a tourist

From this, can I expect that he has applied for a tourist visa? If he has, we can probably roleplay his application for a working visa if you want.

You'll find that all of the above is true in most nations around the globe.

Yes, let's Rp him getting a worker's visa. As for tourist's visa, I suppose a year (as for worker's visa) should be enough.

So, are we removing all that has been done (as far as immigration goes), or are we jumping backwards in time to get the visa?

OOC: No, just continue on as if he didnt know.

The lady behind the counter stamped Mark's application, "Hmmm, working isnt actually allowed according to your type of Visa. How long are you planning to stay inside the country?"

The lady sat down behind the counter again, her name tag with 'Barbra' inscripted on it glistening in the sunlight through the window.

"Well, Miss Barbara, one year," he said as calmly as he could muster, still, a hint of nervousness broke through. He hoped he didn't have this same luck the whole time.

"Well, Miss Barbara, one year," he said as calmly as he could muster, still, a hint of nervousness broke through. He hoped he didn't have this same luck the whole time.

Barbara eyed him somewhat suspisiously before pulling out a flyer from her desk, and opened it in front of him. With her pen, she circled the relevant details,

"Well sir, what you have right, is a visa which is specialized especially for Tourists. Now, some tourists, such as yourself may be planning to work in the Austar Union. The problem is, your tourist visa doesnt allow you to actually work and earn money inside the country. What I suggest you apply for, is a Working Visa of one year. This will allow you to work inside our country."

"Well it certainly makes sense to me ma'am. I would like to apply for a worker's visa," intending to sound more plain.

Mark always had hated such endless forms, but he hid his boredom with a look of no emotion, seeming almost non-human, staring out into space. He held his hand out for forms and a pen.

Barbera opens her drawer, and pulls out the relevant forms. Handing them over, she paused, "Now, considering that you already have a Tourist Visa, I estimate that you will find a response within the week. Im sure it will be positive. I trust that you have some way of being contacted?"

"Yes ma'am," he paused, filling out a form question, "my cell phone number is 633-3275, and my hotel number is 361-8430."

He handed the official the completed forms and the pen, and briskly walked out of the door and went back to his hotel, taking a bus.

Upon ariving in his hotel room, Mark picked up his laptop, plugged it in, and checked his email. Glancing down the list, Mark muttered "spam, spam, spam, really should ban that stuff." An email had caught his attention, being titled, "How's the trip?" with the adress of his Uncle. He knew, of course, that this wasn't from his Uncle; his uncle hadn't been heard from for years. He read the message:

Dear Nephew,

I was wondering how your trip has been going, if there have been any problems, etc. etc. Have you found work yet?

With love,
Uncle Mather

Understanding that this was the Fluffywuffy government, sending it from another location to mask the IP address, aswell as email address, he understood what they were asking.

Dear Uncle,

The trip has been fine so far, I goofed up a bit not getting a worker's visa, but I applied for it and citizenship. Within a week or so I should get a response. Until then, I'm just going to take a look around this city.

With love,
Mark

Eight Days Later...

At the Austarian Visa & Immigration Department, Barbera was reading through her memos. Flicking through, one caught her attention. It was the results from Mark's visa upgrade application. Reading it over, she reached for the phone handset, picked it up, and dialed Mark's cell number.

As she waited, the afternoon sunlight caught her eye. There was going to be a fantastic sunset later this evening...

Mark picks up the cell phone and answers, dully, "Hello?" He had adjusted to the Austarian timezone by now, and was more capable of conversing. He was bored, however.

OOC: Sorry, I got distracted by RL life stuff ;)

Barbera listened as Mark answered, "Oh, hello, this is Barbra from the Austian Immigration and Visa Department. Is Mark there please?"

As she waited for the reply, she fingered the cord of her telephone...
