A Civil war has broken out between Cubs fans (the evil North Siders) and Sox fans (the good South Siders which I am) We are the Sox fans.

The war began when Steve Bartman was killed by a mob of Cubbies. The Sox fans wanted a trial. It occured. Riots broke out to rival the 1968 DNC riots when the murderer was found guilty. The Cubbies broke away and are now at war with us.

We made an early gain capturing some Cub players who will be executed. They are,

We are mobilizing our ground forces and have a small air force operating out of many airports like Midway, gary-chicago, Valpo, Merriveille, and Aurora, the enemy has O'hare.

We have mobilized a starting force of 250,000 men with M16A2s, browning pistols, and mortars or grenades to march across the Chicago River which represents our border. The goal is to capture and secure the loop. We are now having our navy of:

25 AEGIS destroyers to pummel enemy positions,

Artoonia would now like to contribute to your effort. His Majesty's Defence Ministry is willing to contribute up to 10 fighter planes; 5 helicopters; 100,000 enlisted men; and 500 spec. ops. We're also willing to park a missile boat or two on the shores of Lake Michigan.

Artoonia has no nuclear weaponry, but The Defence Ministry would add to its contribution up to 75 Air-Surface penetrating missiles. We've tested these suckers, and lemme tell ya, they pack a punch.

LMSx Entrepreno, the flagship carrier of His Majesty's Navy, has recently arrived in Lake Michigan, and shall shall be parked safely 10 nautical miles due east of Lincoln Park by five p.m. CDT.

Entrepreno is accompanied by LMSx Neptuno, a missile cruiser; LMSxj Nesanjo and Krakeno, escort frigates; and LMSxj Lumo, Ajmo, and Okzilegxo, destroyers. Entrepreno is loaded with 85 aircraft, and the fleet's missile load alone is capable of laying waste to the entire North Side in hours.

In order to avoid missing The Simpsons on WFLD (FOX Chicago) at 5:00 and 6:00 p.m., Artoonia is offering the Northsiders the opportunity to surrender before that time. If not, missiles shall rain down upon the North Side like a plague from the Almighty.

Luckily, the Cubs-Bucs game is in Pittsburgh tonight, or else we'd have had to postpone the bombardment until the Buccos were safely out of town.

May death come swiftly to the enemies of the South Side!

(Oh, and for those wondering, "LMSx" is the abbreviation for "Lia Majesteca Sxipo", which, like all of the ships' names, is in Artoonia's native Esperanto.)

In order to avoid missing The Simpsons on WFLD (FOX Chicago) at 5:00 and 6:00 p.m., Artoonia is offering the Northsiders the opportunity to surrender before that time. If not, missiles shall rain down upon the North Side like a plague from the Almighty.

Since Artoonia's ultimatum was not met, the shelling has commenced.

Five Tomahawk missiles have been fired at Navy Pier.

The Tomahawks fired at Navy Pier destroyed their targets, leading to another round in order to secure a landing area.

Unfortunately, three of the second round failed to destroy their targets. Five TAF-39 fighters were launched to finish the job with their Sidewinders. Upon their successful return, naval personnel were sent out to inspect the three undetonated Tomahawks. Amidst the wreckage, it was discovered that the warheads had been removed and filled with--you guessed it, cork. :x The two remaining Tomahawks onboard the Entrepreno were inspected, and similar sabotage was found. While LMSxj Auxdaca and Vitalado are en route stocked with more missiles, an arial assault has been continuing along Lakeshore Dr. Lincoln Park was easily secured by 150 special ops who had parachuted into the former Wrigley Field, and is now being used as a landing port.

Meanwhile, 20 F-35Cs, in waves of 5, have been striking O'Hare. Unfortunately, the enemy's defencive fire has been semi-successful in taking down the EAW-40Cs launched. Seven confirmed hits on O'Hare have been recorded; of these, however, only two were of substantial impact.

500 troops also came aground in Evanston. Casualties were quick, however, and a retreat was quickly ordered for the 300 or so still standing. His Majesty's heart goes out to those wounded or killed in the confrontation, but assures their families that they shall not have died in vain.

I love it. We were in the news, over the past year and a half for:
Gambling ring at our feeder school
Waving Confederate Flags at Homecoming Parades
Having Girls hit each other with dog doo and baseball bats
Having Boys hit each other for hitting each other with paddles
NOW in the news for attacks on Jewish people!

For all intents and purposes, we are interchangable. I went to a middle school that sends students to both.

To all Cubs fans, and thats most of you, gather at the grounds of your local high school. Quandan special forces operatives shall guide you safely to awaiting aircraft at a nearby airport. We will fly you to safety in Quanda.

IC: We are now having our troops mobalize, they marched north chanting "O-E-O Magglio"

Coalition forces have advanced northward to secure all of the territory from the former Navy Pier to Addison Avenue and East of the River. North of Addison, we've secured everything East of Ashland Avenue.

Anti-radar fire has successfully destroyed O'Hare's detection system, allowing greater targetting success of the facilities. The enemy retains a command centre in Terminals 3 and 5, while Terminals 1 and 2 are currently smoldering piles of rubbish. The enemy is expending great effort in fighting to keep the remainder of the facility not on fire. A few more passes and we should be able to secure a landing area. We are working on suppressing exodi from O'Hare; three planes managed to depart during the delay between two attack waves, but this only happened once. A fourth plane was taken down shortly after takeoff, its wreckage splashing down into the Busse Wood Resevoir. Two F-35s have been lost in the firefight--and we condemn the war crime committed by the Northsiders of shooting down planes over their own residential areas. Several civilians died as a result of fuselages crashing into their houses; this is completely unacceptable.

Artoonia has advanced north to Foster Avenue. While about 500 casualties have been sustained, about 300 of these were non-combat-related muggings, our infantry finding Chicago teenagers to be more heavily-armed.

On the O'Hare front, the enemy has spread out around the ground with smaller ground-based anti-aircraft fire. Since the ultimate strategic goal is to seized the premises for Coalition use, the aircraft bombardment has been abated in order to prevent needless collateral damage. Since LMSx Stelaro recently arived carrying HMMWVs and Bradleys, a series of blitzen is being conducted. We're working on infiltrating the grounds in order to set up a seige around the occupied terminals. In the meantime, infantry and cavalry are working on cutting off power to the occupied premises. Still, this strategy may take quite some time, as Terminals 3 and 5 have between them six McDonalds and seven Starbucks. Additionally, Terminal 3 has at least fifteen restaurants containing edible food.

White Sox Fans are celebrating as heavy fighting, resulting in slightly less casualties to our side, has secured all of the from the Chicago River east to Lake Michigan, and south of Touhy Avenue, as of 11:00 a.m. this morning. Preliminary counts indicate that 18,419 Artoonian soldiers gave the ultimate sacrifice to the Glory of the Greater Good (this number represents those who have not reported to their Commanding Officer or ship since last heading into battle, so it likely includes the few who were taken prisoner (all Artoonian spec ops go into battle with a cyanide capsule, other soldiers are happy to use their ceremonial daggers on themselves if the need arises), or who are not dead but have suffered disabling injuries and have been unable to return to the safety of their base or ship (battle-scarring is a badge of honour in Artoonian society, and an injured soldier will not take his own life if he is able to return from battle, although many will egotistically refuse to be carried from the field of battle, and so are currently limping or crawling back to their base or ship, whereupon they shall seek medical attention).

Coalition forces have also pushed through Skokie to an eastern boundary at Crawford Avenue. Artoonian troops have managed to come aground in Evanston, but have not yet advanced west of Sheridan.

Special ops also finally infiltrated O'Hare, and the resulting melee decimated both sides involved therein. While the 950 or so Artoonian spec ops who were lost will be missed, they will be treated as heros and receive state funerals with the Highest Honours, to be interred in Artoonia's Muzino National Cemetery. Most Cubs supporters who had been holding down the fort were killed on sight; however, about 300 prisoners were taken, and removed to LMSx Entrepreno, where they will be interrogated and eventually either reeducated or sent to the same prison where His Majesty holds Yankees and Braves fans. Although O'Hare has sustained extensive structural damage (Terminal 5 alone remains in an essentially usable condition), His Majesty's Government shall defer its reconstruction to Mayor Daley, who certainly can profit from rebuilding contracts (it is Chicago, after all).

LMSx Auxdaca arrived, stocked with tanks (LMSx Stelaro is on her way home, to attend to a potential regional crisis). Racing north on Sheridan Rd, they quickly reached enemy territory in Evanston. His Majesty's Government apologises for the pollution to Lake Michigan; the Ministry of Defence failed to consider that the efficiency of the tank operators in conjuncion with the Tomahawk missiles aboard the Auxdaca would result in Evanston and Skokie being reduced to dust, which got caught up in an easterly-blowing windstorm.

To avoid permanent lung damage, the Artoonian troops immediately and shortsightedly began pushing westward through Skokie, only to realise that continuing the same course of action as was followed in Evanston would produce the same result. Oops, our bad. Again, we apologise to Sox fans, who will be the only ones left to bear the environmental consequences.
