Order of Jerusalem seizes Tyre.

Lebanese waters off Tyre...

The stealth transport ships cautiously edged closer to the sleeping city of Tyre, carrying with them three thousand knights, commanded by Grand Mastership candidate Henry von Kniprode. The German looked solemnly at the old lighthouse, before he gave the order in his native German, the language of the Order's military. The knights, dressed in black with a dark red cross and body armor underneath, slowly pulled aboard as the few Leapord tanks they possessed came with them. They moved as far into the Tyrian infrastructure as possible before an Arab spotted them and began shouting. Immediately the Order's artillery sprung to life and the military installations were pounded. Knights swarmed through the largely abadoned city, quickly securing the Christian Quarter. They moved through until they spotted the Hippodrome, where the garrison had mobilized. Artillery and limited air support neutralized them as the knights surged forward. As they neared the city limits, a thousand began construction of barriers, checkpoints, and fortifications around an extended area outside the city, which was to be extended, while the rest set about securing the city, assuring the populace, and arranging various things such as the arrival of ten thousand reinforcements the next day. Muslims were encouraged to leave the city. The Knights released a statement the following morning.

To the world:

The Lebanese city of Tyre has been occupied by the Order of Jerusalem. Recently Muslim terrorist attacks on the Christians in Lebanon have grown endemic and unacceptable. The city of Tyre is to be administered by the Order as a safe haven for internal refugees of Muslim hostility. Growing hostility and deaths of Christians in Lebanon have forced our hand. We hope this step towards peace in Lebanon is appreciated by all involved.

The newly proclaimed Grand Master von Kniprode continued the construction project outside Lebanon as the first contingent of the promised ten thousand men began to arrive in Tyre. The knights in the city began the same process of fortifications that had characterized the earlier incorparation of Rhodes into the Order. Anti-air, ship, and especially artillery emplacements were erected to guard against possible reprisals, while knights continued to peacefully escort Muslims out of the city.

Knights of Ni... I mean Jerusalem, sooner or later someone truly large and powerful will tire of your Crusade and Stomp on you.

And on that day, Roycelandia will be standing by to supply your nation with Arms, Equipment, and anything else you may require.

We have well trained Desert Combat Troops who can help "Advise" your Knights, and we offer generous Lend-Lease Schemes.

We have nothing to do with his violation of Al Anbar territory and the Order of Jerusalem in the Knights of Jerusalem. The Knights of Jerusalem in Rhodes have not been under our control since the 9th Crusade.

From: Alaric, King of Xeraph, Protector of the Xeraphian Federation, Master of the Knights Templar

Let it be known that we will immediately come to the aid and defense of the Knights of Jerusalem if attacked or threatened. We join with Roycelandia in providing all arms necessary to the KOJ in their crusade against Islam.

Master von Kniprode, the Knights Templar wish to provide the KOJ with a complete armored division, consisting of MBT's, VLS missile systems, and various and sundry armaments. Please let us know where/when you would like them delivered.

OOC: Al-Anbar, what ya gonna do about it? :P

Roycelandia....???
IC

We humbly thank both Roycelandia and Xeraph in their support for our struggle.
Xeraph, we kindly accept your offer. Perhaps you could split the support for our two bases on Rhodes and Tyre?

Tyre has been declared a haven for Lebanese Christians fleeing Muslim attacks or Al-Anbari oppression. Checkpoints, guarded by the few Leopard 2E tanks the Order maintains, will be guarding the entrance into Tyre, along with 15,000 knights, who are well entrenched.
19-04-2004, 01:29
OOC: Well, we're going to rewind a bit and fix a few things up. Tyre is not deserted. Tyre is well guarded, especially since it is near Israel and has anti-ship batteries. You should also pay attention to the fact that I have navy submarines and aircraft patrolling over the coasts.

You have one chance to pretend like you didn't invade me or your ships will die before they even reach the coast. :)

OOC: Notice the words 'stealth' and 'sleeping city of Tyre'.
I was also unaware of your presence in Tyre at the time, so the RP stands.

Grand Master Molay requests a meeting with you. He would liek to talk about an alliance. He has sent 5 Knights and 1000 infantry to assist you.

OOC: Too bad. And you're going to be crushed anyway. You are a young nation.

IC:

Iraqi submarine 'Nebuchadnezzar', a Romeo-class sub, had been patrolling the waters south of Tyre, when several blimps were spotted on the radar screen.

"Captain! I'm reading several vessels on a course toward Tyre." reported the radar officer.

"Any idea what class?" asked the Capitan. "No"

"Set course to intercept those vessels." commanded the Captain and soon he saw what it was - a small invasion fleet. Quickly, he radioed his commanders of this, and an alert was issued to all units in and around Tyre.

The Iraqi airforce was scrambled. Some 100 MiG-23s, -25s, and -29s, were launched, fully loaded with weaponry. As they approached the invasion fleet, they launched their missiles and dropped their bombs. At the same time, the anti-ship batteries along the coast were being prepared.

Two batteries of Styx missiles (24 total) and a battery of FL-7 missiles (12 total) were prepared and aimed. They waitied for any remnants of the fleet that may survive the air bombardment and get into range of the missiles.

OOC: I find it amusing that Al Anbar is commenting on crushing other nations.

*A telegram message is sent to the Knights of Jersulam's Grand Master*

Greetings Honourable Sir,

Hail and well met from the illustrious nation of Crownguard! We have watched your progress with some measure of interest. While our own nation is secular in purpose, but humanitarian in nature, we feel that the blow you strike upon Al Anbar is one that is well deserved.

The religious factors aside, we applaud your daring in such a conceived strike. Hence, we are willing to offer support of a military and tactical nature for the occupation of Tyre, and any planned expansion into the territory of Al Anbar. We hope that by establishing diplomatic relations with you and your nation, we can come to perhaps develop a form of understanding or friendship. We look forward to your anticipated reply.

Sincerely,

Tercero Xavier Delryn

To: Lord Delryn of Crownguard

Greetings from Xeraph!

We are pleased that you have offered support to the KOJ in the matter of Tyre. May I propose a temporary alliance with the Xeraphian Federation in ousting Al-Anbar from Tyre.

We already have a substantial presence in the Mediterranean, and are prepared to deploy significantly more naval, air, and ground forces to the situation.

Please advise.

respectfully,

Alaric pf Xeraph

Dear Alaric.

Good day. Indeed, such an alliance would certainly be in order, barring a denial of our assistance by the Knights. Much of our aid unfortunately will be of a meterial nature as opposed to the "blood and iron" and we are so used to. Circumstances dictate this course of action, despite my firmest requests. However, we can offer a small number of forces: veterans of the Al Anbari conflict we had fought before led by General Bashkiir. Their aid, along with the supplies mustered will surely crush this rogue nation. However, all this hinges upon the acceptance by the Knights of an admitted secular humanist nation. We do not wish embroil ourselves in a religious struggle with the Knights if this action were to go through.

We hope that this alliance will lead to furthur profitable dealings int he future between our two nations.

Sincerely,

Xavier Delryn

OOC: If you are going to be a prick about it I will RP the full invasion of Tyre, but wouldnt it be easier to just assume I have it (since I did RP it before I knew about you) and just put it under siege?
IC

Crownguard, alliances of secular powers are perfectly acceptable to the Order in furthering their goals. We gratefully accept yours and Xeraph's help in the struggle to save Lebanon's assaulted Christian population.

It would seem Al Anbar would have to defend it self again, against these imperialists. Since Al Anbar's last war against Whittier and his allies, tens of thousands of extremist Muslims had decided to stay in Al Anbar rather than return to their nations. President Saddam Hussein knew that he had to effectively control these men or they could stir up certain extremist sentiments within Al Anbar to overthrow his secular government.

As soon as the war ended, an organization named "Ansar Saddam al-Jihadi", which could be translated into Supporters of Saddam in the Jihad. Since then, they have received numerous types of military training and some "re-education".

Now, it was their chance to prove themselves: they were called to jihad to fight the invaders who are attempting to steal Arab land in Lebanon. Of the 55,000-strong man force, some 25,000 were quickly moved into Lebanon, around Tyre and Beirut. It was their time.
19-04-2004, 04:44
We would like prove that we treat the minorities of Lebanon any differently than we treat the Muslim majority. We have never prosecuted anyone because of their religious beliefs and challenge the enemies of Al Anbar to prove such things.

What do u say of our offer? I am awaiting your answer.

OOC: So I guess I don't have Tyre? :( Oh well. I did invade it in stealth ships in a night attack.

OOC: So I guess I don't have Tyre? :( Oh well. I did invade it in stealth ships in a night attack.

OOC: In actuality, I'm just going to ignore this whole thing. 'Knights'?! If you want to have Lebanon in your own "reality" so be it, but I won't have any part in it since this is so stupid. What abuses of the non-Muslim population can you claim when I have never posted such things?

Anyway, have fun.
19-04-2004, 05:12
OOC: You really are sad. You need to put your ignore cannon to rest as you use it WAY too much. Jeez man give RP a chance. Are you just too lazy, too scared, or what?!

OOC: Excuse me? Who are you?

And secondly, I've already explained my reasons. I don't have time to RP another war, etc. Since you supposedly didn't know I was even here, go on with your RP like you planned to. I don't care.
19-04-2004, 05:17

Well if that is the case Al Anbar, I never joined the negotiations for peace. I can just as easily start the war between you, myself, and Ternsactus back up again. That you cant ignore, once you've acknowledged. Then again, you acknowledged this rp BY posting an ic action, and hence, it affects you. If you didnt post an rp response, then it would be fine, and you are in your rights to ignore. Once you POST A RESPONSE TO THE ATTACK, which you did, you make it a fact.

If you want to post all thsoe silly updates about your army, why dont you use it?

If an occupation of Tyre is to take place, we would like to commit troops there to bolster defenses. What do you say to our involvement?
Xeraph
19-04-2004, 07:05
The assault and occupation of Tyre at this time is not possible, as Al-Anbar has pointed out that he is currently preoccupied elsewhere and doesn't wish to fight a second war.

Maybe in the near future.
