Could someone please sell us some Soviet aircraft that would generally be what the Soviets used, when I say this I mean MiG-17s and MiG-21s.

Please?.

OOC: Sorry for slight threadjack, Tonsta

IC: Koulgujev, how many of the MiG-27s do you have? If it's unlikely to interfere with Tonsta's order, we'd like to purchase 200 of these aircraft, for a total of 300,000,000 - If you want we will wait for Tonsta's order to go through, it's only fair.

Oh, and Tonsta, by way of apologies for possibly ever-so-slightly affecting your order, we would like to extend to you the offer of some of our Tu-26 'Backfire' bombers:

http://www.fas.org/nuke/guide/russia/bomber/tu22m_03.jpg
Function: Heavy bomber
Required Crew: 4
Engines: 2x NK-22 turbojets
Length: 136ft (41.46m)
Speed: Cruising 720Mph (Cruising), Mach 1.88 (Max)
Range: 2,040 Miles
Armament:
16,000kg of standard ordnance OR 6 Kh-15P Air-to-Surface missiles on rotary launcher
2 KH-22 Air-to-Surface missiles on underwing pylons
1 GSh-23 twin-barrel radar-controlled 23mm gun
Surplus 6,500,000 per unit (SOLD OUT!*)
New 18,000,000 per unit

(Tonsta - We'd feel guilty offering you these planes then trebling the price, so we'd be willing to offer you a sensible amount of new bombers at the surplus price - This does not apply to anyone else!)

We know you specifically asked for fighters, but unfortunately we don't have any Soviet-era fighters - Hence us trying to buy some :P - I do have assorted other Soviet equipment, though - Do you need anything else?

Edit: Corrected the speed and changed the prices - See the notes.

Heh - Personally I've always had a soft spot for the Backfire, which is half the reason I still have a significant number of them still in service - that and the fact they're efficient and cheaper to produce than the American/western alternative. I don't think the Su-37 can be counted as 'Soviet', though - or have I got my development dates wrong?

Hmm, but wasn't the actual original Su-37 itself developed after the Soviet era? It's first flight was '96, so it really depends how long the thing had been in development... Presumably it could have gone on a lot longer than 5 years, so I'm probably wrong.

Still a very nice aircraft, I might look into acquiring a few soon...

JiangGuo: Order confirmed, but if anyone wants any more, the price is going to go up quite a lot - these guys just bought almost all the Backfires I have going spare :P - I can start production of them again if anyone else is interested, and open a storefront for them, but you'll be lucky to get them for anywhere near surplus prices.

The DPRT would like to thank the Kelonian states for their glorious offer! We would definitly like them for a special price, and we would like to thank your for your Revolutionary thinking in helping us defend the Motherland!.

And to respond to Yugoslavia, could we please have some of your planes? How much for one MiG-21 and MiG-17 individually?.

By the way what is the production cost of a MiG-17, MiG-21 and a MiG-29?.
