The results have been calculated and Grand Master von Kniprode will be instated in his new position after the conclusion of the occupation of Tyre.

Henry de Kniprode, though his name does not sounds German. Hans von Kniprode might sounds better. Same meaning (only Henry really was changed), yet it sounds more German.

So far I've been the only one to vote John de Hauteville (although if he's an Englishman, I doubt his name would have "de", and if it's meant to be a French last name, it would technically be "d'Hauteville"). Anything too aggressive or too militaristic would overstrain your tiny country.

OOC: The name is based off a historical figure, but the name could be changed to "von Kniprode" which wouldnt be any more or less correct than de Kniprode. I believe 'von' is German for 'de' in French, so it probably should be 'von'. I am definately not going to make a new thead to fix it though. After this thread I will refer to him as Henry von Kniprode.

John de Hauteville is also based off of a historical character. The man was an Englishman and his surname was 'de Hauteville', so it is correct.

Must of been an immigrant or something, because using French/Spanish in your name I assume is not commonly an English tradition.

OOC: Yeah it usually isnt, but I assure you he was an Englishman. He fought in the Hundred Years War and then became a mercenary general in Italy. [the historical John de Hauteville]

OOC:The Knights of Jerusalem, is that related to the Knights Templar or the Priory of Sion? Have you read the Da Vinci Code?
18-04-2004, 06:36
OOC: I have heard of the books and how good they are, but have not read them. I am planning to rectify that soon. Apparently the Knights Templar are involved, but the nation I am playing has nothing to do with the DaVinci code.
