"Ladies and Gentlemen of the media, Citizens of Rotovia and the International Community. As those who followe Rotovian politcs know, ever five years the Parliament of Rotovia is granted the authority to banish any Citizen holding Public Office under the Constitution of Rotovia. I am hear to announce the result of the closed door session of Parliament. The Lower House is allowed to banish five Citizens, they proposed three. In accordance with the Consitution for the Banishment to be offical it must gain the support of two thirds of the Senate, however since only four Senators voted in favour of the proposed banishment the House of Representatives banishments were vetoed. The Senate is entitled to banish ten Citizens holding Public Office, only one name was proposed and the two third ratio was obtained.

Therefore... by order of the Senate of Rotovia Dr Andrew Heyford, Chairman of the Rotovian Communist Coalition is hereby banished from Allied States of Rotovia and all it's subordinate territories. From this moment you have 28 days to leave Rotovian Territory and you are not permited to re-enter.

In accordance with the Civil Rights Act we must provide a brief justification, which is that the Senate feels it would be in the best intrests of the people of Rotovia not to have Dr Heyfeild in Public Office."

Considering: That any form of segregation including those of religion, race and political ideas stand against the basic principles of a democracy.

Considering: That the removal of elected officials for no reason other than discrimination, is a serious breach to the political rights of said official and all the people who voted for him, and thus puts democracy itself in jeopardy.

Considering: That there are international treaties wich allow any nation to recieve political refugees in their borders.

Considering: Momanguise acted in it's right to serve as shelter, and Rotovia proceeded to issue threats against Momanguise.

We the people of Vacant Planets

Resolve: To condemn Rotovia's authoritatist stances, supressing civil liberties and political rights, and putting in danger the democratic stability of the region.

Resolve: To condemn Rotovia's threats to Momanguise wich violate all international treaties on political refugee's and bring unnecesary tension to the region. As we also consider it a violation of Momanguise sovereignity.

Resolve: To further it's efforts in having the international community to keep close watch upon members with similar stances such as Rotovia's.

Resolve: To keep close watch on Rotovia's authorities in order to guarantee a swift reaction to any more disturbance in the stability of the region.

Resolve: To show full respect and support of Momanguise actions to serve as shelter for the political refugee Dr. Andrew Heyford.

The Elesnarian Foreign Minister, Kovalenko Lin said that this transition of power is a real great blow to the communist movements all around the world.

Elesnar is supporting the Rotivian Communist Coalition leader, Dr. Andrew Heyford and all of his coalition friends in their banishment sanctuary to regain their throne in Rotovia someday.

Elesnar is also ready to give aides to Dr. Andrew Heyford if he is willing to.

The government of the Grand Duchy of Monte Ozarka has released a formal statement:

The government of the Grand Duchy of Monte Ozarka realizes that communist ideals run contrary to the ideas advocated in an open democracy. However, it also recognizes that by ridding your nation of such communist threats run also runs contrary to democracy and freedom. Above all, hypocrisy is bred, and the foundations of democracy are shaken to the core.

The GDMO government also sees that such radical groups will often not have the clout to usurp power, but in existing, expose the need for certain reforms. In this way, organizations like the Communist Party contribute positively to the welfare of the country.

It is because of these reasons that our government is forced to condemn your government's actions. Along with basic freedoms come the freedom to disagree. By eliminating contrary opinions, you eliminate freedom. By eliminating freedom, you eliminate democracy.

And without democracy, nations are nothing. There are a lot of democracy systems:
1) Capitalist democracy -- ex: USA
2) Communist democracy -- ex: China (Jiang Zemin era)
3) Fascist democracy -- ex: Indonesia (Soeharto era)
Most communist nations has communist democracy in their government.

Meanwhile dictatorship is the form to eliminate the opposition and contrary freedom. There are a lot of dictatorship systems:
1) Capitalist dictatorship -- ex: Russia (Putin era)
2) Communist dictatorship -- ex: North Korea
3) Fascist dictatorship -- ex: Germany (Third Reich era)

True, just like how Iraq had elections. The problem is, there was one party and one candidate (Saddam), and if you tried to vote for someone else, you'd get shot by his men.

We do not meddle - We express our disgust as to the sham of democracy within Rotovia. But we have not taken any other actions that would be classified as meddling.

We would also like to state that Kanabia is a Democratic Marxist nation - And Marxism has not at all damaged freedom of speech or political expression in Kanabia.

The King of Xeraph, Alaric, applauds your banishment of a communist politician. We of Xeraph feel that communists, along with Islamic extremists, are to be kept in check by freedom-loving nations.

Alaric of Xeraph

Obviously your nation has a primitive understanding of Communism and Socialism that has stemmed completely from a barrage of biased western movies and literature.

By the way, these people were not terrorists, but simply democratically elected officials, banished for the crime of expressing their beliefs, and representing the people who voted them in.

The government of the Grand Duchy of Monte Ozarka realizes that communist ideals run contrary to the ideas advocated in an open democracy

How so? Communism, and Socialism as it is practised in Kanabia, is democracy for all, not just the corporations and media that can buy votes as they feel.

Gmeistaville
18-04-2004, 16:06
Gmeistaville's Foreign Minister, Corey Muller, has expressed the nation's concern about the actions taken by the Rotovian government.

"While Gmeistaville has, undeniably, a very capitalist economy and political viewpoint, we do not believe that this sort of action is doing any good for anyone," the Minister said today.

"The eviction of a political opponent, by force, such as Dr. Heyford's case, is completely fascist and in no democracy's best interests."

"This could inflame the rising tension betweeen communist and capitalist states even more, with the possibility of communist states taking a similar course of action," he commented.

He outlined the fact that while the Government doesn't believe that communism is compatible with democracy, it also does not endorse the authoritarian nature of Rotovia's actions.

"The idea of a democracy is if the people want something, they get it. It's not in the power of the government to outlaw opposing political parties."

Mr. Muller did not, however, deny that communism is a growing threat to democracy.

"As we have seen time and time again in the past, communist ideals do not constitute modern democracy, and in old communist reigmes, we have seen an even more imbalanced wealth distribution, with a small, elite percentage of the nation enjoying prosperity," he explained.

"Capitalism, in most cases, does not effect civil liberties to any great extent, with the majority of capitalistic dictatorships' lack of freedom stemming not from capitalism, but merely a lack of civil freedoms."

He added one final statement, summarising the Government's stance on Rotovia's actions.

"This action, which is obviously a pro-capitalist one, clearly infringes on basic political freedoms and civil rights that true democracies are obliged to uphold. We stress that, while in this one rare case capitalism is sided with fascism, capitalism promotes civil rights and political diversity."

The problem is, "communism" and "socialism" are not one and the same. Typically, "communism" is "socialism" with a totalitarian spin. You would agree that totalitarianism is anti-democratic?

Communism in its true interpretation is utopian socialism. There is no link with totalitarianism even though it is commonly wrongly equated with it.

Obviously, no nation fits that definition of communism, so in the meantime, Kanabia has democratic socialism to guide us there.

Just to re-visit this.

Momanguise is now ready to collect the Doctor from the shores of Rotovia.

The goverment also extended it's invitation to the following.

(a) Senator Alex Stately, and any other communist senators.

(b) Any member of the Communist Party of Rotovia. It is becoming clear that communists are facing persecution in Rotovia, and the Momanguise regards such actions as morally repungant.

Please give me some figures of the numbers I am to expect.
