The Union of the Prince
Union Charter
Purpose of the Charter
The Union must have an unchanging basis in order to define itself as a separate power. This charter hereupon sets out to establish the Union’s foundation. This includes mainly the determination of where the supreme governing body shall lie within the Union and the organization of the Union itself. The principles upon which the Charter was formed must not change. However sections may be added to the Charter which are in accordance with its principles.
Section One: Sovereignty
The supreme sovereign within the Union shall be the Prince. And he is Charles Montgomery Machiavelli of Hole Where Evil Lives. The purpose of a sole sovereign is to destroy dispute. Since he has written the charter it is also he who has ultimate understanding of the Union’s objectives and beliefs. The Union is to be always united and never divided. All nations by joining shall make the Union’s objectives their own. The ultimate authority rests with the Union Charter and the Union Charter is made by the Prince.
Section Two: Free Trade
As the final sovereign body rests at the head of the Union, the Prince may therefore impose tariffs, taxes, and any other restrictions of free trade, and it is his sovereign right to do so. Within the Union however there is to be free trade among Union member nations with no restrictions.
Section Three: Organization of the Union Government
Senate
The group of nominated individuals who shall reach conclusions on issues, along with the Prince, regarding the Union. Handles both Legislative and Executive matters. They may add to the Charter and delete previously added sections. They may also assist in Judicial matters if it is deemed necessary by the Justice Council.
Justice Council
The group of nominated individuals who shall pass judgement upon nations, along with the Prince, within the Union. It shall deal with determining who has violated the Charter and proper treatment of those who stray beyond its rules based upon the Charter’s rules. They handle Judicial matters.
Section Four: Organization of Other Bodies within the Union
Union Intelligence Agency
The organization dedicated to gathering any information which may be of interest. Information of interest includes but is not limited to: information on particular international conflicts which are deemed by the Prince, Senate, or UIA noteworthy or of potential danger, the actions of nations outside the Union which are deemed by the Prince, Senate, or UIA noteworthy or of potential danger, actions of Union members in dealings outside of the Union. However within the Union itself spies shall not be searched for by the UIA. This creates paranoia and causes controversy. If any spies are discovered through accident or by their coming out with the facts for any reason other than turning coat (and even this shall be dealt with through the Justice Council and possibly the Senate) immediate military action shall be taken by Union Internal Forces and if deemed necessary by the Senate (because of the international nature of the issue for example) by Union Combined Forces.
Union Security Agency
The organization dedicated to deciding upon what actions must be taken to keep security within the Union and by taking them. Matters of Union security include but are not limited to: threatened Union sovereignty by invasion, Union international military operations, and defaming of the Union.
Union Liaison Department
The department dedicated to maintaining efficient communication among important nations within the Union and without.
Ordnance Development Department
The department responsible for the development of an arms industry for the Union which is without need of outside help. ODD decide what is needed in order to achieve the goal of a self armed Union and take steps to achieve it.
Section Five: Union Forces
All nations within the Union have their forces swear loyalty to the Union and its sovereign. These forces shall make up the Union Combined Forces and Union Internal Forces. All forces within the Union are at the command of the Union.
Union Combined Forces
The forces of the Union which shall deal with international affairs. The Union may deploy the UCF for any reason the sovereign of the Union (the Senate and Prince or Prince) deems necessary, preemptive or not. The Union may take action if it is in accordance with the principles of the Union Charter.
Union Internal Forces
The smaller forces of the Union which shall deal with matters within the Union. They shall remain peace and order within the Union by force, and keep security. They will deal with enemies of the state (the Union), within the state itself.
