Can anyone else think of any design changes?

OOC: You can get Lightwave on KaZaA or Bit Torrent. Expensive program for purchase, though

(This is Zoogie by the way)

Yes...I would suggest not sweeping the wings so far back. Instead, have them extended more and more delta shaped, something like the MiG-29 or Su-27...also, I presume this is single seated? Make the cockpit smaller...

For both your planes, I would suggest a more slightly natural, conical looking nose cone, and a raised cockpit canopy rather than one just blending in with the shape. Gives the pilot much better view over the nose, around, and especially in his rear to check six (your RF-X7 doesn't look like it would allow pilots to check six)...but they're both very nice planes.

Oh, and give them both a nice grayish texture like on your Su-37s...makes them look more real and less like just a 3D model.

I took Zoog's excellent advice:

I'll do the same to the RF-X8, while keeping it drastically different than the X7

is that the the RF-X7, the one without the swept-back wings?RF-X7: Delta Wings, High-Power/High-Speed Interceptor

RF-X8: "W"-wings, Heavyweight Attacker or Nimble Dogfighter, depending on loadout.

i thought swept wings were hard to manouever? anyway, I'll take 500

btw, do you know who wrote that thread explaining the basics of aircraft design?

UPDATE: I think I'm going to scrap the X8 and mold the 7 and 8 together into just the X7:
