Falasturian architects have studied architecture from all over the world, and come up with this style, a mix between an 18th century mansion style and nouveau styles, for the Congress Hall. The glass dome features a spiral walkway, giving unprecedented views over the city, especially if placed on a hill, and it also gives a vertical view through several panes of thick glass onto the Congress area inside. The mirror sheets in the roof also reflect light, creating a great effect at night, especially if focused beams are pointed at it.

Allthough we cannot suggets any designs or buildings of our own design, we can suggest the Imperial-themed Berlin first proposed by Albert Speer, whose designs for Post-War Nazi Germany were sadly wasted when he was executed in 1946.
But we have adopted his vision, and our Capital is built along the same lines.
We believe the Intended Reichstag Building, though, may be a littl etoo large for your Congress Hall.

This contest is going to be very tough! The Committee is split over Falastur's and Grunge-France's potential Congress Hall. Although the Committee agrees that Falastur's President's House is too large for Kaufmanstad. We would also like to remind viewers that Kaufmanstad is looking for planners that could lay out our new capital city, Stuville. :)

OOC It looks to me like Grunge-France's Congress Hall takes up about the same amount of space as my entry....On the first pic, look how far is stretches off to the left...

OOC: Well, I've got no issues with either Congress Hall. It's that Falastur's President House is immense

Here is a combined proposal from some of Nianacio's expert in the field. Details can be changed to suit your needs.

Note the elegant circular arrangement and attractive surrounding parks and gardens. With the cleanest and most efficient technologies available, easy access to recreational areas, and unobtrusive subterranean electric transport, city life is no longer a pain. Depending on the location, any of a variety of environment-friendly technologies can bo used to create power.
Aeroponics provide a local supply of food. Dining, residences, and shops can all be found in both the ring and natural areas. The central dome houses the congress, with other government facilities nearby.
On an unobtrusively secured hill in the natural area lies the president's residence, with towers that can be used for security surveillance and an open-sided veranda acting as a meeting point for the stressful life of a head of state and the relaxation of nature.

OOC: That was fun, even if you hate my idea. :)

Niancio: Wow! Very impressive! This design is very futuristic.

If you want a more traditional-looking Congress Hall, here (http://myhome.naver.net/ucnet2004/Asia-Japan/Tokyo/WFAasi%20Japan-Tokyo%20Diet%20Building-01.jpg) is another idea.

Another entry from Falasturian architects:

Note the industrial area on the side closest to the viewer, the two stadiums (one circular, one oblong) in the central area of the city, the commercial district lining the banks of the river, and the sprawling yet for the most part very orderly residential district surrounding the centre of the city.

OOC OK, I've entered enough times now, I'm just going to sit back and watch now.....I just felt like that a bit of competition for the city layout category might be good.....(although Nianacio's is very good.....)

This design mixes beautiful modern skyscrapers, elegant sculptures and stunning parks and lakes and would make a lovely city.

Congress Hall

This is a stunning center piece for any city and would fit in very well with the previous city design. There are numerous small buildings with interconnecting passages.

Presidents House

This is a grand house with marble floors and stain glass windows. Modern yet elegant.

This is a rough estimate, our economy is reasonable, so I will say that about 1.50 Marks equal $1.00 US
