OOC: Is it an unwritten law that people dont produce, trade or use atomic bombs in Nationstates? Or do they?

Everyone around here has an atomic bomb or two!

OOC: Is it an unwritten law that people dont produce, trade or use atomic bombs in Nationstates? Or do they?OOC: No you can, and people do. However don't be suprised if a few of the larger trigger happy nations have something to say about it.

OOC: Nuclear weapons are frowned upon, at least the proliferation of them - but almost everyone has one :(

OOC: I've seen numerous storefronts selling nuclear weapons so...*shakes his head* Just dont go triggery happy with 'em.

OOC Yeah.....nukes are traded quite often (or at least they were, haven't seen much of it recently). However, this sometimes led to a problem with the new nuke-wielding nation then thinking they were all-mighty and trying to hold the world to hostage with a handful of ICBMs......this could happen as many times as 5 times a day at the peak of the problem......

So you can work out why the larger nations tend to use it as grounds to invade....

Of course, that's like being vegetarian (which I am), for war, you almost need them, but I haven't been in any major wars except my civil war.

The only problem with nukes is that if a war starts out now, with the amount of nuclear weapons everyone seems to have, it just descends into an "I AVE 4000 NOOKS AIMED AT UR CAPITAL SITY", "YEH WELL I AVE A NOOK FOR EVERY CITZEN U AVE SO THERE" type arguement rather than a real RP.

Nukes = Good if you RP their use well and responsibly. Wreckers of many a good war otherwise. Don't bother with a huge nuclear arsenal, and if someone threatens you with one, just use the power of Ignore.

We could do with less people who think they're great RP'ers because they can threaten people with more nukes than the next guy, so ignoring people like that can only help solve the problem.
