The test firing included the launch of a H-Bomb, and 7 dummy missiles launched at a programmed 15 minute intervals. The coordinates that were sent to the missile's computer systems were hit with a 97% accuracy, only two missed their targets by a maximum error of 100 feet.

Despite the impressive results, the IMS isn't going to be operating at it's full potential for at least three years. The military reports that it will be adding six new complexes in the next decade.
