** "We are now in the final stages before the passing of the World Blood Bank resolution". I watched the UN delegates applaud on one of the many monitors in my office. There seemed to be more delegates in than usual today. Well, I'm not that influential, but I really think that a World Blood Bank would be a good idea. Then all of a sudden, all the lights in the building went off. On my monitors, I could see people looking around slightly shocked. I radioed to one of my men and asked him to go and check the main power room. Then a voice shouted over the main intercom.

"NOBODY MOVE"

I watched on my monitors as peoples faces changed from anxiousness to total fear. **

The PE delegates dicided to follow the orders but called in back-up security just in case.

Jeffery Thompson, the head of the DSS, Was in the bathroom. I finished use it. I took out my P226 pistol and a flashlight and went lookng for the Brydog delegate to the UN.

** After a few minutes of darkness, the giant display screen in the main hall came on. The monitor displaying the hall zoomed in on it and I saw a masked face. He said he had his assassins hidden all over the building and that if anyone failed to cooperate, they would be killed.

How could I have let this happen. These people must have someone working on the inside, I thought. I started looking through the employee database and checking check-in and out details for staff on duty last night. This is going to take some time. I called in one of my men to help me **

I knock on the Security Room door.

** I heard someone knocking at my door. Come in, I said. A man opened the door. Who are you I asked? **

Alexi Tesla- Exsulted X's Millitary Science minister, was part of the delegation form Exsulted X to disscuss the world blood bank. I blunder through the black corridors, armed only with a pencil sharpener blade stuck on a pencil, the sound of boots alerts me to a small room, I listen against the door.
"The assassins are in place, sir"
"About time you snivilling worm!"
The voices die out. I mark the door with a small cross using the pencil sharpener, and procede to find a better weapon.

[OOC: I'll give it my best shot, but I don't think I'd make a very good terrorist. In any event, this is a rogue who escaped a Sarzonia prison and wants to see the full destruction of peace everywhere for his own warped, extremist views. I'll call him Jack Black (though it's not meant as hostility toward the actor).]

We've got a nuclear bomb that's set to detonate as soon as I give the command. It will destroy this city and everyone in it unless you follow my demands to the letter.

Number one, get rid of the blood bank resolution.

Number two, stop passing unfunded mandates that threaten national sovereignty and put pressure on each U.N. member government to fund them.

Number three, give me all the platinum in each U.N. member country by 1400 hours Thursday.

Number four, destroy every ship in Doujin's navy [OOC: no offense toward Doujin intended... this wacko thinks you're an enemy of his for some reason and I needed some superpower to pick on].

Number five, I want two delegates to rape within the next hour.

If any one of my demands are not met, we will push the button and this city and everyone in it will die an agonizing death. The choice is yours.

'Well, there is now way we are giving into that. We are sending backup forces to the UN building and we will our best teams on trying to find that bomb.'

I see a terrorist in the corridor, and dive into the first room I see. It turns out to be the security office. Looking around I start to panic.
"Er, why are you in here?" Suddenly recognising them from the meeting earlier "Could you get me to the bomb? I am an armaments technition, I may be able to disarm it."

[Action: Black turns and grabs the nearest delegate and pulls out a knife, which he sets at the bottom of his throat.]

I'm going to kill him now if my first demand is not met in the next FIVE...

[Action: Black proceeds to slash the delegate's throat, and he crumples to the floor in a pool of blood. Black then grabs a delegate from another country and pulls out a gun and points it at his head, all the while restraining him.]

Finding only a small toolkit, a flashlight, a piece of stiff wire and a 9mm pistol with three clips of ammo, I begin to fashion a lock pick from the wire using the pliers from the tool kit. I then procede to dismantle the communcation console. Inside I find a telecommunications bugging device.
"He must be listening in on any conversations anyone made, if he did he now knows we are here. We have to leave, NOW!"

I smash the lock at on the ventilation hatch and push the others into the duct. I load the pistol and back into the ventillation as the terrorists burst in. I fire a volley of rounds and fall backwards down the shaft, emerging with the others in the basement.
"We need to move now!"

[Elsewhere in the city, a school bus careens into an elementary school parking lot and crashes into the school's gymnasium, where it immediately explodes. One of the children had a bomb planted in her bookbag when she wasn't looking by a terrorist when she was alone at her bus stop.]

That was just a school. The next time I give a signal, it will set off the bomb unless all my demands are met within the next 30 minutes. [Action: Grabs another delegate and thrusts a knife toward his throat in a threatening position]. You don't want to see HIM die, do you?

My machine blipped. It had found a suspicious entry made last night in the staff log.

[Suddenly all the lights come back on]

I saw people looking relieved. Well at least that was a start. It would be easier to find the assassins now.**

Hiding in the basement, alone, I open my uplink and begin to search for Joe Black on the Interpol database. I discover that he is one of three leaders of an extremist organistion, fearing the threat to be still present I seek out any free operatives in the building, mainly the security chief.

[OOC: It's Jack, not Joe. Frank Bellemeur, the second in command who is at the console hears a crumple and the static of the lost direct connect and says, "Thus be it ever to tyrants" and pushes the button.]

[Action: A set of conventional explosives go off and engulfs a museum to the world's great peacekeepers into flames. Frank then turns and puts his finger on the button for the nuclear bomb.]

'Fine. We will negotiate Frank. First, you may have your 2 women. Any woman who is brave enough will leave the Main Hall and wait outside for Frank to collect them.

Around the corner I see the office where the head of UN Security was probaly hiding. As I procede towards the office, I trip over the corpse of Butch Murdock, my bodyguard, his throat had been slit. I search his body and find a combat knife, mp5 and two spare ammo clips. The barrel is cold, he was killed before he could fire. I carefully enter the office and see two people. "Who are you?"

[Action: Frank collects the two women left outside, then has five henchmen gang rape them.]

[The two henchmen rush out of the office and draw their weapons, perparing to fire in a desperate attempt to defend Frank from being discovered. Frank hears the commotion and considers pressing the button but would prefer to do it in front of an audience. He bides his time. Besides, there's still 15 seconds left.]

The representative of Peace Keeper High Command Captain Krais, by now has managed to avoid the terrorist and locate the security office. He archived this by the fact that all Peace Keepers undergo compulsory military service and High Command only uses the most skilled and loyal men & women as UN Delegates to represent Peace Keeper High Command. Armed with a small side arm he enters the security office pistol aimed at the occupants of the room. Announcing himself,
"Peace Keeper. Don’t move, identify your self’s"

The irradiated die quickly and painfully, the radiation saturating their bodies. The survivors on the outskirts are met by a UC Scoutship, which does what it can to deliver relief, even going so far as to send rescue parties into the radioactive hell.

One such party discovers a way towards the devastated buildings. Their Radarmour reflecting dimly the fires and damage the Dirty bomb had made. Here and there isotopes left by the explosion fizzle, and they continue their search, a melancholy of sorts descending upon them.

The UN buildings radiation shielding protects it form the blast which happend in a car outside the building. In the confusion due to the rewired fusebox, I fire upon Frank with my MP5.

[OOC: That sounds like a nuclear bomb's destruction. A "dirty bomb" has more localized damage from what I remember. Then again, I could be wrong...]

Frank is incapacitated but alive, the viewsceens show the party aproching the builds. I reach for the intercom, but am shot at but an unknown assailent.

OOC: Dude, Dirty bombs explode, launching radioactive elements EVERYWHERE. If it's a dirty bomb, they've probably got some highly unstable element for that use. And we don't know how large an explosive concussive forec the bomb generates. You didn't tell us. It's specuation.

I dive through into the passage way, emptying the remaining ammo. I reload and persue the terrorist towards the main hall, where the Nuclear bomb was, the detonators are shot so it will only explode if someone activates it manulally.
[occ - dirty bombs will kill, but the radiation is a long term effect, usually a beta+gamma source, causing contamination.(I am studying explosives as part of my Chemistry Degree)]

WOODSTOCK (ASP) -- The Sarzo administration sharply denied any prior knowledge of the plans of escaped terrorist Jack Black from the Charles Moose Correctional Facility in Nicksia.

"The attacks at the U.N. building took everyone by surprise," Sarzo said. "We condemn the attacks as an affront to free people the world over."

Nicksia's police chief Brian Davis announced that he was beginning an immediate investigation into Black's escape and the chief investigator in Sarzonia's government announced it would investigate Black's terror organization. Meanwhile, two hospital ships were dispatched from Wilmington toward the United Nations in an effort to provide humanitarian assistance. The newly christened battleship I.S.S. Kearsarge would lead a group of naval ships to escort the hospital ships.

*Over radio to rescue team from Alexi.
"Addtional threat.....Still hostile......medivac needed.......Unknown operatives....over"

** Teams arrived in radiation suits to clean up the dammage as I was leaving. I was luck not to be dead.

When I returned home, I found my wife looking totally devistated :cry: . She told me that our sons school had been blown up. I was horrified. That is one step to far, i thought when he wakes up from his stun, I will kill him.**

Mustapha Al Abhol, the minister for international affairs, called the Sarzonia government. "I am sending an esscort of fighters to support your ships, stand by."

Mean while Alexi persused the unknown terrorist through the corridor.

'Hostile targets inside building, we'll have to wait.' He looked at the buildings opposite the UN building. They were sagging. Dangerously.

A fire fight ensues between the terrorist and Alexi. The terrorist is gunned down, but there are heavy civillain casulties

I radio the rescue team "Need medics, I'll escort the rescue team. Over"

'Understood' His team moves forward, Q-10 guns and entry lights armed.
They make their way inside, wary for any remaining terrorist forces.

When asked to comment on the attack at the UN, Peace Keeper UN Delegate Captain Krais, responded;

"I am appalled and sickened by the security measures in place with in the UN HQ. The Peace Keeper High Command is demanding a full inquiry as to how an attack, such as this, happened and who is to blame. I also recommend that perhaps the UN should hire professionals to deal with security. We Peace Keepers our renowned for our impartiality, skill and dedication to roles such as this and we would make the perfect choice to keep UN delegates safe from future terrorist attacks.”

I recieve two clips from one of the team, quickly this way. We run to the main hall, the medics begin to assess the causulties, as I disarm the bomb and secure the area.

** I arrive back at work and am insulted to find that people are questioning my skills as a security officer. People are beggining to suspect I might be the inside man. People should have a little respect. I leave my office and outside, I am confronted by 2 of the Assissins. We converse in fluent Sarzonian and one of them hands me a package containing my money. They thank me and tell me that Jack send his blessing.

Not many people know, but when i was younger, I travelled to Sarzonia where I met Jack. He taught me a lot of what I know and we have been in contact since. He called me about this job a few weeks ago and i knew we needed the money bvadly so I accepted. He didn't tell me on what scale it was, or that he was going to kill my son.

I write a letter to my wife telling her I love her and enclose the money. I post it to her.

Then, I take out my gun and shoot my self. It was the only way. Jack would have killed me sooner or later or the government would have found out... **

In light of recent terrorist activity, as the recent attack on UN Delegates at the World Blood Bank talks highlights, we need to make drastic changes in our security. With this the Peace-Keeper High Command has forwarded a proposal to the UN.

Peace Keeper High command had this to say,

“We strongly recommend that the UN nations take this opportunity to seriously consider the threat that terrorisms posses. A known terrorist organization is able to strike so close to the heart of the UN, with such destructive and damaging devices as a dirty bomb. Just think what could have happened if the threat of a nuclear bomb had been real? We can not allow this to happen again”

You will find the proposal on page 13. Please support this proposal our nations security depends on it, not all nations in the UN our capable of dealing with this threat and there for the more experienced and larger nations need to support them, this is exactly what the UN was formed for.
