What kind of power is Credonia?

Answer in the poll and discuss it.

This isn't really a good idea really, making an entire thread about Credonia like this will only focus the insults and probably result in a flamefest...

That said, if people can remain resonable about things I suppose it can't be too bad, it's just that a long time ago there were alot of threads like this were people posted "Ignore Lists" and "What do you think of my RP" and if we are not careful it can get out of hand.

I'd say that Credonia has some power in International Incidents; but it's nothing I would concider a "Superpower" in Nationstates; afterall we have nations like Melkor Unchained and many others who have a conciderable powerbase...

So what can I say, he has some power but generally it's the same level of power most nation achieve at around 3000 posts...

i would say Nuclear power, he does have 40,000 warheads...

Then i'm a minor nuclear power, i've got 20 003 Nuclear warheads.

Meh... here's some basics of Iuthia, I'm not a nuclear power but I have alot of political and military power which can be backed up with examples.

Iuthia = No Nuclear Weapons

NAFDA system > Nuclear Weapons

Conventional Weapons > Nuclear Weapons


I don't bother with nuclear weapons seeing as they are costly and will ulitimately never be used. Our NAFDA System (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=137906&highlight=) protects against most nuclear attack. Combined with more conventional methods of defence against nuclear attack and our allies systems we concider the threat to be almost none existant.

Nuclear Weapons is giving me a status in this corrupt world.

I have nukes little any more... they were all wiped out, or used to wipe me out.

He would come under Power, there are a lot of nations around that have the ability to beat him in a war, so i think you would see him as a Power nothing more nothing less.

I put super power, I thought I remembered Credonia being alot bigger.

Bah... I've never really cared too much for Russian Forces and I still can't understand why "communists" are so willing to follow someone like them.

But it has to be said, somehow he has power... I wouldn't compare him to Melkor or any other strong nation from the Nationstates Forum, but he does have alot of random followers who think that they represent something good for communism and not all the bad aspects...

So meh, as much as it scorns me I think I'll agree that Russian Forces has some power, more so then Credonia for sure... but not enough to give me any issues, I may not have much power to yield but I know enough to stand my ground.

He definatly is not a mega power, nor a super power. A "Power" maybe, but not a Naval one, that's for sure. He is very agressive, so you shoulda put another option for "Aggressive Imperialistic"..

Its good to know that you know the 3 Main powers within NS, it is well known that these 3 are the 3 main powers within NS.

It is Heavily Debatable but these 3 would defiantly would receive the most votes for top 3.

I would never have Russian Forces equal to Melkor Unchained... hell, I wouldn't even have him near Automagfreek...

But each to his own I guess.

I havent been aroung long but id agreee with Ithuia. I havent seen them rp but ive heard that Pantera is also a major power

And about the GDODAD war. The PE, RF and IF coalition did have amazing sucess in the first action of the war (3 nations surrendered with a single bullet being shot) but when it came time to launch and invasion onto GDODAD land everything when pear shaped (PE special forces got in and destoryed a suppply base) but VERY soon after when I was asleep the thread got HUGE attention and within 10hours the post count had trippled and all was a much of n00b godmodding and I withdrew from the war.

I don't recognize super powers because there aren't any on NS.

I'd have to disagree with you Shin. Some nations are powerful enough to be classed as Super or Mega-powers.

Although Super-powers in the NS world are not strong enough to take on the World :)

Pure Evil, your not on the international scene much, and its not all size thta matters ya know. Its tactics, how much influence in the world you have, military might obviously. Not just size and how good your economy is.

Some nations aren't reknown for their military power; but for their manipulation power... there are alot of nations like these who carefully make something happen quietly... it all depends on what you mean by power.

The thing about alot of nations is that they think that might is right... however you notice that if Russian Forces or Credonia or many other large nations may seem powerful but if they do something controversial they will be opposed by half of the forum.

Meanwhile the subtle nations can do this and carely make everyone else do their needs... it's much more efficient and it's a show of real power if you can see it.

I fail to see why post counts have anything to do with RP ability. It's a silly little notion people have post count != RP ability! but that being said I reckon you'd be a power at the least, maybe a small super power something like a midi-power? I've not heard much of ya either here or in the NS forums.

Ah... Iraqstan, I've heard the name but I can't remember any of your threads or anything, I suppose by what you thought I said that would make us pretty much level.

However, maybe if you paid more attention you would notice I didn't say "Post Count = Power" otherwise I would be bowing to Rave Shentavo. Meanwhile there are a fair few big names in NS with less then 2000 posts...

What I said was that power doesn't have to be about military strength, but manipulation, politics (just to stop Holy Panooly whining at me I would like to point out I'm not counting myself as a powerful nation) and economy.

Good RP's are a way of being well known, if you get enough attention and people like it you can do a fair bit.
