[OOC: Some of this comes from the computer-generated NationStates biography of Emasculata. The parts that aren't culled from that come from my imagination. Also, my main nation is Sarzonia; this is my first puppet *sniff* I'm so proud! haha]
The Dictatorship of Emasculata was founded on 7 April 2004. The country consists of 13 regiones and its capital is Emasculata City.
The "government" is led by the Lord General of Emasulata, who rules the country with an iron fist. There is a unicameral legislature called Congress, but it has little more than ceremonial authority, and then only when the Lord General is in a good mood. Superior Court decisions are often overturned by decree.
Military service is compulsory in Emasculata, and promising "specimens" are "encouraged" to remain in the military after their one year of service is up. Citizens who disobey the goverment are sent to "adjustment" camps where they are brainwashed.
The enormous, corrupt government concentrates mainly on Social Welfare, although Defence and Healthcare are on the agenda. The average income tax rate is 33%, but much higher for the wealthy. A tiny private sector is dominated by the Beef-Based Agriculture industry.
Scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes, military spending is on the increase, the nation is ravaged by daily union strikes, and the government is avowedly atheist. The government mandates that every citizen carry a national ID card with a barcode at all times and elections are outlawed. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, despite the fact that it is difficult to make it through a day without breaking one of the country's many laws. Emasculata's national animal is the aardvark and its currency is the peso.
Spanish is the official language of Emasculata, and anyone caught speaking a language other than Spanish is docked a month's salary.
