DB-218 "Drop-Box" Mk II

Want to have the ability to simply fly a cargo plane over the battlefield, and drop your troops, light tanks, trucks, howitzers, or anything else you might need, in an easy-to-deploy, safe-to-use, DISPOSABLE drop craft? Then the Drop-Box is your dream come true! This wonderful creation from Raysia Aerospace basically looks like an armored cargo container designed to perform a freefall. When it reaches a certain altitude and speed, depending on weight, the computer auto-pilot fires 6 vectored-thrust hydrogen/oxygen rocket pods (2 on the long sides, 1 on the short sides) to slow it down until it comes to a soft, cushioned landing on the ground (aim for clear ground or a meadow or a shore) using a series of spring-loaded and pneumatic shock absorbers to make a calm landing for the people or cargo inside. When it hits the ground, the shocks trigger the rockets to jettison their fuel. and the pods collapse with explosive bolts, falling in on themselves like cardboard. Immediately, explosive bolts blow the walls apart, creating ramps. And then, you're off!

Each drop box costs $75,000, and the area inside is typically 10 x 10 x 50-ft, enough to hold all types of high mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicles, light armored vehicles, eight standard loading pallets, 80-100 troops, or up to 40 tons of cargo.

These can easily fit 2 inside a C-130, 8 in a C-5 galaxy, 1 in a V-44, 16 to 20 in an An-225, or almost 100 in an RT-1707.

With a good mathematician guiding the drop, this can also be a dream Siege Weapon! Drop one of these with a tank, some Artillery, and some marines, right onto the deck of a carrier, and you can prevent ANYONE from taking off! Or take this to a larger scale, and drop them all over a city, and you instantly have an invasion force deployed into the city without having to deal with getting past enemy ground defenses! These can drop from ANY altitude the plane can carry them to.

You can request any size bigger than this if you wish, just specify the size along with the amount, and the price will be the same to a certain point.

Price: $75,000 USD Each

Internal non-sale production rights and blueprints available for $10 Million USD

Remember, this is a ONE-TIME-USE vehicle.

This picture looks so much better, Raysia...Zoogiedom would like to acquire production rights, and would like to inquire if it is alright with you to sell these rights to regional allies on the condition that all production rights sales money is forwarded to you.

I would like to purchase the production rights. No selling, of course. When would you like payment?

Could something be negotiated by trading in our old DB-118 Drop-Boxes for these newer, updated versions? We currently have (275) DB-118s. If a trade is available, the DB-218s will be entering service and possibly combat soon afterwards. It'd be wiser to just use up tour existing drop-boxes.

The only real upgrades are just to make this thing less messy on landing. Less debris is scattered about, and it's pretty well contained. It is also requires less clearance for landing, as there is little or no smoke and there is little uncontrolled heat from the engines.

We're not going to trade, sorry.

Don't be daft...production rights should be closely guarded, and ought to be at least $5 billion :P Wait, wait, what am I saying? $5 million is fine by me

I make about $25,000 profit per sale of a drop-box... you'd have to make about 400 of these before you'd pay it off.
