Allanea

Huntington Strategic Air Command Center:
Across the country it was a similar scene. Sirens blared and bomber crews were rushed into breifing areas. Pilots and Co-pilots given instructions on the mission which lay ahead. In the respective hangars crew loaded the weapons complement of the various bombers. Thousands of AGM-88C CALCM Cruise Missiles were loaded up into B-52H Bombers. The AGM-88Cs had specialized warheads, they werent just explosive, they were loaded with flamable liquid gel. The same substance that Napalm was made out of. Each of the Bomber Squadrons, 48 in all had a specific target, all of them were related, they were areas in which drug production was taking place.
It was in the international press that Allanea was dealing with multiple countries right now in a vast war over some piece of land. This was the perfect time to strike a blow to the economy of Allanea. And disrupt part of the drug trade in the world. The breifings were short and to the point, basically fly to a certain drop point, and get out of the area. The cruise missiles would do the rest. Simple really, if they encountered any problems, the Air Force was going to provide Air Support. F-15C pilots across the nation had been moblized, as had several squadrons of F-16D Fighting Falcons.
By 0900 hours the pilots had been breifed, the bombers were fueled and armed and the crews were ready to take off. By 0945, the last of the bomber squadrons were taking off from their S.A.C. bases in New Jersey and were joining formations over the North Atlantic. It would take the bombers nearly four hours before they had reached the maximum range for the AGM-88D Cruise Missiles. The bombbay doors on the nearly 600 B-52H Stratofortress Bombers openned up, the bombers were arranged much like the B-17s of old. Organized into combat groups of 144 the groups had one lead bomber, in which all the other bombers would wait upon for its own launch.
The S.A.C. had planned it, so that each of the 48 lead bombers would fire their payloads at almost the exact same moment. The time was now 1325 hours when the first bomber, the Vigilante, launched its 4 AGM-88D Cruise Missiles, one after another, the other combat wings launched. Hundreds upon hundreds of the missiles filling the sky. The missiles ground skimming lowered themselves to drop below radar level and fly toward their target. The missiles were preprogramed and were ordered to hit various targets around Allanea, drug fields, suspected drug labs, even the Company Headquaters of Allanean Pharmaceuticals. Back at the S.A.C. Air Generals waited for any word of impacts on the evening news.
Of course expecting some form of retaliation from Allanea, the Air Force was put on Alert. A mandatory black out was placed across the nation for the night, and the Civil Defense Guard was called into service. PAC-3 and PAC-2 Batteries, as well as Chapparal SAM Sites, Nike MIM-3 and MIM-14 Defenses were brought online as well as the BOMARC defense system for shooting down Bombers at long range. F-4J Phantom IIs filling the sky, not armed with the typical wild weasel weaponry but with AIM-7F Sparrows and AIM-9H Sidewinders. Even the navy was put on alert, and F-14B Tomcats were placed on Alert 5 status across dozens of Naval Air Stations. The country would not be caught off guard, especially after throwing the first punch.
This is the second time in this war that our enemies deliberately target civilians.
101,000 civilians are dead so far.
