This is my first attempt at designing a tank, so don't bully me too much (I made the pic myself!)

Thanks.

I also added a bulldozer thingy, make it ideal for city fighting.

No problem. Feel free to view my E-1A MBT (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=135043) for more info on designing a tank

Momanguise, can't we make a deal about producing those in the Twin City?

Camewot: Thanks for the intrest! Seeing as you have allowed me to build a factory complex inside twin city, you can have the production rights for free. I dont really like the idea of selling off my tanks. To capitalist.

Fluffywuffy, that's amazing. Unfourtunatly I'm not as informed about tank mechanics/logistics. My aim was to build a medium tank suitable simply for my own (and allies) use.

Would you like me to help you design such a tank?
Momanguise

That would be great, thanks. How could I (possibly) re-pay you?

No need to repay me.

My first question in the aid of this design is the following:
What is the maximum cost for such a tank?

EDIT-If you have MSN or AIM we can chat on there

I would like to make it cheap and realiable (bit like the T-34). Seeing as you are better informed you could probably put a better estimate than me.

I would definitely be a customer for low-cost high-quality weaponry.

Ok, heres what I got for now

Armament: 125mm cannon (since it seems you like Soviet tech), one coaxial (mounted on the cannon itself so it is aimed with the cannon-that is what coaxial is) 5mm machine gun, and a hatch mounted 5mm machinegun. The main gun has a range of 4km.

Armor: Since cost is a bit restrictive, and since it seems future advances could make heavily armored tanks obselete, the tank is to be fitted with la thin Chobham armor, with 400mm of protection from KE rounds, and 700 of HEAT

Engine: Making up for lack of armor with a high speed, the tank uses a large, fuel efficient, hydrogen powered engine. Not only are these engines more fuel efficient, they emmit less heat, are quieter, and need less maintainance.

Weight: Lacking lots of armor, the tank weighs in at 50 tons

Crew: 3, an autoloader saves on crew costs.

Max Speed: 60 mph (95 kph)

Cruising Speed: 50 mph (80 kph)

Fire Control System:

Uses the same FCS that is on the M1A2, allowing for nice accuracy.

Cost: A nice, cheap, $2,000,000
