On the 10th of April, 2004...
Union Worker strikes continue to shake the entire nation of Norris Land as they enter the second week. These daily strikes began when the government decided to give higher wages to a union already striking. The Government decided to raise the workers' wages in fear of a falling economy, due to the shutting down of one of it's best industries. The nation hopes these strikes will soon end, but no end is in sight.
Government Change: Norris Land changes from a People's Republic to a "Federation" on this day, the 10th of April.
Uranium deposits found in South West Norris Land, underneath a rainforest. Experts wanted to bulldoze the entire forest, but the government limited them to only uncover a portion of the Uranium to "save the rainforest."

Thank you, Fluffywuffy. It is much appreciated, and the nation of Norris Land welcomes peace with your nation if you would like. We wait for your reply. Now on with the evening news...
This evening on the 10th of April, 2004...
Today's union strikes got out of control in a small coastal town in the west part of Norris Land as workers demanding higher wages flipped cars in the streets and sank boats in the harbor. Emergency crews continue to clean up into the night hours as the striking workers set fire to most of the cars flipped in the city streets. Many sit in jail tonight waiting to be convicted, after the issue is discussed by the city's local government.
A cancer patients family is still waiting the final decision of the "Cancer Sufferer Demands Euthanasia Bill." The Government has intended to follow the position of Bishop Klaus Jong-Il, who states:
"There is never a right time for euthanasia," says Bishop Klaus Jong-Il. "The lives we lead are given to us by the grace of God, and he decides when they end. It is not for us to question God's divine purpose, no matter how odd or screwed-up it may seem."
Another issue still being pushed is the Uranium Deposit finding. The Gov. is pushing to allow only a portion of it to be mined, saving most of the rainforest that sits above the deposit.
Preperations for tonights celebration the tropical paradise section of Southern Norris Land have just finished as the guests begin to arrive. The celebration is for the newly endorsed Delegate of RPGia, Jessica of the Artistic Outcasts. It promises to be a hit, and all who are in RPGia are invited.
That concludes the news for today, and we hope you'll join us again tomorrow morning. Good day.

Happy Easter to everyone on this somewhat nice day...now onto today's news for Norris Land, on this Easter day, the 11th of April...
The nation of Norris Land is in relief today as Union strikes have seemed to finally come to an end. The week long strikes caused damage in many cities and industries, as striking workers protested very fiercely and violently. The government hopes it has finally settled the issue, and prays for continued peace among union workers.
The governments decision on the Uranium issue has caused Norris Land's national animal, the Sea Turtle, to become nearly extinct, even with only a portion of forests being bulldozed for the Uranium "dig-up" project.
Euthanasia has officially been made illegal overnight by the governments decision. Hopefully this will help the medical field to become more efficient in treating these life-threatening diseases that brought euthanasia before the government.
Punitive Tariffs put into effect last night now protect the local Auto Industry. The industry was threatened by foreign cars, and the nation now hopes that the tariff will improve the industry, not to mention it's overall economy.
That's all for today, happy Easter, and good day.
"Trust in God, and you will not be let down."
