Sea Earthquake shakes Middle East, resort town "missing"

A powerful earthquake in the Mediterranian sea shook the Middle East today at 7:30 AM. Jeruselem scientists measured it as 4.5 on the Richter scale and it originated from the continental plate in the sea.

While there were reports of damage in some citys, most cities sustained little damage. An exception was the resort city of Na Shara on the coast with a population of 5,000 people. The government was unable to contact officials in the city despite repeated attempts.

A "Winged Serpent" recon aircraft from the airforce flew over the city to determine what damage was done from the Earthquake. Instead of images of a city, all the aircraft could return was a huge area of mud where the city was. The army are moving forces to Na Shara to determine the extent of the situation.

The army has found the entire city has sunk into the mud or slid into the sea. The armed forces are trying to save as many people as possible, but we fear many have died from suffocation. It seems liquification occurred in the foundations of the city like some fate of some biblical cities. We appreciate any expertise in this type of catastrophe.

We offer you the services of a unit of our best rescue squad, employed in disasters such as this. They use intricate and complex equipment, as well as just brute force and determination, to attempt to sort out any problem they face. While we can't guarantee a full survival rate, with any luck they will be able to save more people than could otherwise have been rescued, using mainly a small series of tools for clearing obstacles such as the mud found covering this resort town. We also offer the Government of Jerusalem a one-time payment of $25,000,000 to spend on recovering from the disaster in any way you deem necessary.

UPDATE

It appears 75% of the city got flushed into the sea while the remaining 25% is submerged in mud. Most survivors were plucked from the mud while most sea-bound residents seemed to have died. A few survivors were found swimming or clinging onto wooden debris.

Dead bodies found floating have been piled onto barges for identification by relatives. Sharks may have killed some people as partial body remains were found of some.
