Dropping from Arêtê, a relatively small WaveRider headed for the dirty blue marble below, making three braking orbits before finally settling into the atmosphere at mach 5. On hard deceleration the whole way, the spaceplance finally managed to come to a relatively gentle glide over the Antonov International Airport, albeit straining on full reverse thrust.
Once the spaceplane had come a stop, great billows of steam issued forth from underside and just forward of the delta wings as warning klaxons sounded. Ground teams were soon scurrying around outside, lowering a large block to the ground, and waiting for the welcoming committee.
