The Director strolls impatiently back and forth in the control room, anxious to see if the experiment will work. He speaks to one of the scieentists on duty.

"James, are you sure this is going to work?"

"Well....no sir. It's all theory."

"Are we ready to begin?"

"Yes sir."

"Well then start it , James you fool!"

At the end of the conversation, James directed his scientists to a variaty of tasks, pulling levers, pressing buttons, watching guages, and the like. Within a few minutes of the order, the cold fusion reactor was preparing to start. It all hinged on a single button.

"Well, here goes," said James as he presssed it.

Within the reactor, the proccess of Palladium Catalized Fusion went underway. Although large ammounts of fusion did not occur, heat was produced by the reaction, which was transfered to electricity.

After attempting to run the plant with its own power, the plant shut down.

"Well, at least we know it doesn't work."

"Well James, right us a report and send it to the science community. Even failures can be used in the future."

The Production of Electricity by Palladium Catalyzed Fusion

In a recent test of PCF, Imperial scientists have determined that PCF is capable of creating power, but it can not generate enough to sustain its self. This was determined by attempting PCF on a large scale, nuclear powerfplant sized complex. Within a few minutes of switching off outside power, the electricity used for the reaction was steadily lowered by steadily lowering power applied to the device, which generated less heat, which generated less electricity, which generated even less heat, and so on and so forth.

The scientific community should note that cold fusion, in this day and age, is not a feasable way to try and produce power. Cold Fusion did not generate enough heat, with the little amount of fusion that took place, to become self sufficient at the very least.
