In an announcement before the Riksdag today, the military has announced the erection of a 5 module 2 km long Joint Mobile Offshore Base in the South China Sea, in international waters outside the Exclusive Economic Zones of neighboring nations.
The new JMOB, which will house 3 carrier battle groups and an Army heavy brigade, is designed to defend five oil rigs constructed by Bonstoil corporation, inc. The rigs are to provide Bonstock with oil well into the next century.
Since the rigs are not in the EEZs of any neighboring nation, they do not violate the treaty that ended the Great East Asian War with the Azn Resistance.
According to Bonstoil and government, the JMOB is placed to deter a possible attack on Bonstocknian oil interests.
